Absolutely love the restaurant. Charming ambience, authentic Greek food in a nice atmosphere for a restaurant in a strip mall.
Food is superb as are the staff. Continues to be one of my favorite places to eat in the Washington, DC area.
We absolutely loved the whole experience! Food was superb, service was excellent, this is our new favorite restaurant! How to be back soon
Mom Eugenia is truly a real treasure. The staff is fantastic. The food is superb, and it is a very pleasant place to enjoy a wonderful meal. My sister and her husband who spend two weeks in France each year know great food and we’re very impressed.
We had high expectations based on reviews that were not met by the food or the overall experience. The waiter assured us that the lamb burgers were always cooked medium-rare (which is hubby's preference), but it came out medium-well done. We didn't send it back because we had waited an excessively long time for our meals on a Tuesday night when the dining room had only a few tables occupied. My branzino fish entree was bland and tasted like it was a previously frozen filet. It needed more herbs, lemon or something to make it interesting. Even the feta cheese was bland. The restaurant decor is OK, but seems dated.
Thank you for visiting us Mrs. Nancy Kackley. We respectfully disagree with your assessment of the food and timeliness. Your server was attentive and your meal was paced accordingly. You were seated promptly at 6:55PM. The check was presented upon request at 7:45PM. You departed shortly thereafter. The meal included a salad, a spread, two entrees, along with two glasses of wine and an iced tea with no ice. The burger was ordered medium. Had you informed us, we would have prepared another one.
From the host to the server everyone was pleasant. The food and service was impeccable! Will defiantly be returning. The place was recommended to us and if you’re looking for an authentic fresh taste of Greece, this is the place to go. Thank you for a wonderful night!
I reallly enjoyed my Mother's Day dinner at Our Mom Eugenia and loved the food and atmosphere. The service was impeccable and I felt we got our money's worth. I would highly recommend for any special occasion.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Our Mom Eugenia ... they honored their Mom in the name and they definitely honored all mothers who dined with them on Mother’s Day!
The fixed-price limited menu allowed the staff to focus on food quality and excellent service. Will definitely return to sample more options from the full menu. :)
Above average to excellent food. Service was very good.
We love this restaurant! This was the most recent visit to the restaurant. I was a little disappointed in the prefix menu. Not because of the food that appeared on the menu but because when the food arrived at the table more often than not it was Room temperature or colder. Our spanikopita was as if it came out of the refrigerator. However, the taste of our food and the over all experience is still awesome! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone
Best Greek Restaurant in Northern VA. My father is from Greece and loves it.
Dan was awesome! Food was delish. Would go back soon!
Food is really good. We enjoy this neighborhood restaurant and are really glad it opened.
Neighborhood hangout decor is only drawback for a place with excellent refined Greek cuisine (and prices to match.)
Service is excellent and friendly
My lamb was a little salty but other than that, all was very good. Loved the appetizers in particular
Had a great traditional Greek Easter dinner - just like eating home cooking of my family.
Best way to spend Greek Easter is with the fabulous food Momma cooks up for the special menu. Best Greek food in Northern Virginia!
We love Mom Eugenia's and frequent this restaurant often. Easter dinner was amazing and the desert galactobourouko was probably the best we've had in the DC area. Waiters are always knowledgeable and very efficient. I would definitely recommend visiting but make a reservation as there is always a high demand and a long line for those without a reservation! Kali Oraxi!!!
Stellar meal, Very Friendly Staff, and having Skinos Mastiha liqueur in stock for an after-dinner tipple was much appreciated. 'Twas our first time, so we stuck to the Greek basics - Three spreads, Flaming Brandy Saganaki, Keftedakia, Paidakia Lamb Chops for me, and Fisherman's Catch for my Cutie. She said the lightly-battered extra crispy Cod was possibly the best fried fish she ever had. YAY, Kitchen! Lamb Chops were a perfect hot-pink center. Server Nicole made excellent recommendations and was attentive and responsive. Big, open dining room was full, but noise-level was low enough to have a conversation. Don't miss the home-made Apple Cake dessert w/ice cream. WHOA! It's DEE- Lish-Uss. We even requested a bath-tub full of its caramel sauce to go, but alas, none was available in the requested volume :-)
Always enjoy this place! The food is delicious, the service is great and has a welcoming atmosphere. The half chicken, beet salad or fresh Branzino never disappoint.
we love this place!! try the meatballs, zucchini slices, calamari, haloumi, branzino. Always amazing over the top service too.
Such a welcoming and tasty evening out during the week. Had the beet salad for the first time and loved it!
This place has tremendous Greek food, and it truly feels like a family operation. Mom in the kitchen, son is the front man. It tastes like what a Greek grandmother would cook, and that includes it being full of love. Ingredients are fresh, seasoning is appropriate, and tastes are awesome. This time we brought Greek-American family members visiting from New York, and like us, they enjoyed every bite. Bravo!
A most excellent Easter dinner! It couldn’t have been finer.
This is s repeat visit to Our Mom Eugenia’s. Food was excellent! I particularly enjoyed the appetizers of zucchini fitters an dolmas. Highly recommend. Nice for a special occasion.
We arrived at 8:30 for our reservation right on time. After we checked in with the hostess, the only table available was a table for two right behind the hostess check in.
After being seated, I was facing a high chair and the back of the hostess desk. I advised the hostess we needed another table and she said people at another table were
getting ready to leave and we could have that table. This table for two was right next to a group of 8 people and the noise level was already high so I declined this
table. The hostess was very nice and suggested we wait at the bar until a table opened up which we did. You can also have dinner served at the bar but we decided to
order a cocktail and wait for a table. From what I could tell there was only one bartender and he had just started to debone and fillet a fish for a customer and advised
he would be with us shortly. After about five minutes he apologized for the wait and took our drink order. Just as the drinks arrived the hostess the hostess came and
said our table was ready. This table was worth waiting for and our waiter was great! The cocktails were very good although a bit pricey. ( $42.00 for 3 cocktails ) I Complemented the bartender on our drinks as we were seated next to the bar. Now to the food! We started with a Greek salad and a Greek appetizer and both were excellent.
Our waiter suggested the lamb chops which I ordered and were the best I’ve ever had! My wife ordered a lamb special dish which was good but would not order again. Our
waiter also had great suggestions for our wine choices which were Greek. If you’re looking for a romantic, quiet restaurant this is not the place. If you’re looking for a wonderful Greek restaurant with outstanding food then this is it! We will definitely go back, just not on a Saturday night. Very expensive! $$$$
It is like going to an excellent restaurant and being served by your own family
I loved this place. My husband and I went for the first time and found the food delicious and the service wonderful. The food reminded me of our trip to Greece and was fresh and excellent.
Welcoming staff. Great Greek cuisine. Enjoyable evening!
Well the place is very nice and homey. The Moussaka was good while the lamb burger was dry and not flavorful. Only Greek wine and beer are served, in my view not the best. Will try again with the lamb chops.
Food average at best. Calamari had zero taste. Presentation pathetic. Never return.
Excellent food! Theo was our server and he did a great job taking care of us, although we did meet Thanasis.
Excellent food and a great neighborhood place. Thrilled the restaurant is here in Great Falls.
Great Greek food. Great service. Cozy and not too loud even when full. An independent restaurant in a land of chains. Just fantastic.
It doesn't matter if you are Greek, this place is your kitchen away from home. Since I am Greek, I can tell you without question that this is authentic cooking, presented in a fine way and paired with tremendous wines. The service, like the food, is outstanding and the atmosphere is casual. Expect to sit close to another table which enhances the authenticity and homey feel. If you are lucky you may get a glimpse of Eugenia herself, and if you don't just wander down the kitchen and wave at her. She'll always welcome you with a kind word and a smile. Take your family there and prepare for the best.
It was our second time dining here and it was just as amazing as the first time! We will be back for sure.
Honestly, it's not so easy to find good Greek food near me. And it's a favorite cuisine of mine. So, this place is a winner! My partner and I sampled a variety of appetizers, plus a Greek salad. No entrees. One bottle of wine. I have to say that we enjoyed our entire meal. Sure, some things were better than others. The Spanakopita was outstanding, as were the Keftedakia. I really liked the meat/rice Dolmades, and the fried Kalamarakia, better than my guest. He was just tolerant of those. We thought the baked feta Psiti was just okay - but it was well done, just not our particular favorite. The shrimp in tomato sauce & feta (Garides Saganaki) were tasty, but again, not our favorite. Greek salad was scrumptious - I ate it all. Very filling, btw. Awesome bottle of wine - Gavalas Blue??? Anyway, delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to return here. Next on my list is to try the entrees.
Family celebration lunch. Seven of us ages 18 mo to 71 years young. Everyone loved it. The food is great. The staff is so welcoming. It was a perfect memory.
Great restaurant - food, service all good - noise is the only issue
One of our favorite places !!! The food is so delicious and interesting , the decor is stylish and the service is wonderful!!
Love this place every time !!
