About Ouisie's Table
Known by generations for her hospitality, proprietress Elouise Adams Jones, a.k.a. Ouisie, serves an eclectic collection of Southern foods with an excellent wine list to match. High ceilings and fans in the main dining room it evoke the ambiance of a Texas manor house. The adjacent dining porch overlooking the patio and garden, as well as Cooper’s Wine Bin, provide additional dining and entertaining areas. The daily fare encompasses traditional offerings like her well-loved pimento cheese, the shrimp and grits, and the popular Gulf Coast oysters to the favorite Tuesday special Ouisie’s award winning chicken fried steak with corn pudding. A fine plate of grilled Prime beef tenderloin or a brace of quail stuffed with super lump crab meat with Cognac glaze are good examples of the daily specials one might find on the blackboard.

Ouisie's Table Ratings and Reviews
Still a very cute spot. Food not as good as I remember from early to mid 2000's. I was disappointed as I selected the restaurant for the eight of us for our celebration of a couple of things. The service was very good and the atmosphere too. I remember the food being much better but perhaps I didn't select the right items: seafood crepes, bland, and crabcake benedict was ok, chocolate cake was just ok, the original taster plate and sauted belly of salmon and deviled eggs appetizers were just ok. Perhaps my memory set the bar way too high for what I thought I remembered. The nice thing is that we were not rushed at all. We were there a good two hours and got to visit and catch up and celebrate with no pressure at all. "T", our server was excellent.
Went for Valentine’s Day. We were seated promptly. The food and atmosphere were great. Drink menu was nice...The Honey I’m Home is a must have. Grand marnier cake was delicious. Will have to return since the Valentines Day menu was limited but out if the entrees that were available, we did find two that were very good.
We had an excellent birthday dinner celebration. My vegetarian 18 year old was happy, my prime rib eating husband was happy and I got to have my Ouisie's fried oysters. They are the best! Our waitress was so sweet, genuine and her attention to detail, flawless. Can't wait to return.
Waiter took my order and repeated it to me. We both agreed. When his asst. served me, I called him over to show him the eggs. He took it back immediately because he knows it was wrong. The hash browns weren’t crispy, but my client enjoyed his meal.
I do enjoy the advantages of eating at our restaurant.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Every dish we’ve ever tasted has been delicious. We like the variety of items on the menu, which are complimented by the signature, daily blackboard choices.
This past Sunday, we enjoyed a celebratory brunch. Tariq is an outstanding waiter who understands his guests and brings a sincere, intuitive desire to ensure his guests experience. Great afternoon made sweeter by $5 mimosas and a shared serving of dulce de leche.
As always Ouisie’s doesn’t disappoint! I took my daughter in law to Lunch there to celebrate her birthday.. From the moment we arrived we were treated like welcomed friends. The service and food could not have been better. It was nice to relax during our lunch and enjoy the piano music without being rushed. It will always be my go-to restaurant for great food and ambiance! Thank you, Ouisie’s for your consistent quality of wonderful food and service all these years.
Quinoa salad was terrible. I should have sent it back. I have no idea what was in it or the dressing. The curried chicken salad that went with it was good but just average not exceptional. Service was good. Valets seemed in a very bad mood. Not at all what I remember from Ouisie’s.
We went here after church for brunch and it was awesome! The food was fantastic! The wine and cocktail list was extensive and there is a wonderful piano player that plays throughout your brunch making for a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely recommend Ouisie's!
We had not been to Ouisie's Table for some time, although we liked it a lot when we dined there previously. It was my husband's birthday, so Ouisie's was his choice for dinner. Service was prompt, courteous and well-timed. The food was excellent. We ordered the sautéed calamari appetizer and agreed it was the most interesting and delicious preparation of calamari that we had ever had. We both had versions of the Red Snapper entree. It was as fish should be...without excessive toppings that detract from the natural flavor of the fish. Finally, we shared Tres Leches cake for dessert. It was, by far, the best I've ever had. It was an enjoyable evening. We'll return soon.
