We dine at Ouisie’s often… first time for really bad service and totally mediocre food.
I had to send my meal back the white of the eggs were liquid when i cut into it
An overall good experience was a bit dampened by the dessert. The cocktails were on point, the app (crabcakes) was impressive. The entrees were above-average - the word that immediately came to my head was "solid," but nothing blew our minds. The real disappointment was the dessert. We ordered chocolate mousse - the taste and texture were off - like un-baked brownie mix. The staff removed them from our bill with no issues. Not willing to end on that note, and REALLY wanting chocolate mousse, we went to another establishment and had it :)
This was our 3rd year celebrating Valentine’s Day at Ouises and the food was amazing as always. Ordered the crab cakes to start, which were great, and my boyfriend had the pecan salad while I had the roasted corn chowder. He said his dad was different than years prior, but was good nonetheless. My corn chowder was delicious as well. For our entrees he ordered the grilled lamb chops and I ordered the special bacon wrapped chicken with spaghetti squash and fried leeks, which was fantastic. Towards the end of the meal a table of eight came in, which seemed to divert our waiters attention, which led to our tres leches cake to come out longer than anticipated. All in all it was a great dining experience as usual.
Grilled salmon with orzo was excellent. A place not to be missed!
We went there on Valentine’s Day for a late dinner (9pm) and it was always our first time there. It was such a wonderful and romantic experience! Food was phenomenal and loved the scotch and wine flights we had at the bar while waiting for our table. Roasted corn chowder was the best!
Very good restaurant. Waiter was friendly and quick. Hostess was very friendly, professional, and hardworking. Thanks to them and all the staff my experience was terrific.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Even though super crowded, the service and food was still perfect. Always a favorite place!!
Great people, food service and ambience. Good value for the money.
We discovered Ouisie’s through Open Table and some friends had recommended it as a good place, so we decided to try it out for Valentine’s Day. We made a reservation, which was nice because we were quickly seated when we arrived at the restaurant. Ouisie’s has a special Valentine’s Day menu, which was a little disappointing because we were looking forward to trying some of their regular menu items. When we made the reservation there was no mention about the special menu on Open Table or Yelp where we had checked out the restaurant, also.
The waitstaff was very attentive all evening long. The atmosphere was lovely, too. We sat in a back room facing out to their patio garden area. They had a pianist playing in the main room. Very nice. We loved our table, too. Perfect for a family - big Table with a cushioned bench and pillows. Comfy and cozy.
We ordered our meals, then snacked on the bread that was provided. We loved the variety of breads! The little muffins of cornbread and some kind of sweeter muffin, almost gingerbread in flavor. Very good! Our main dishes came in a fairly quick manner. My husband and I both ordered fish plates. The salmon was delicious. Yummy sauce. My fish was okay. My purple mashed cauliflower was quite a bit runny and getting everywhere. The fish was a little fishy in flavor and the breading on it had a slight burnt taste. Our two kids ordered the bacon wrapped chicken and the southern style chicken fried chicken. Their meals looked and tasted pretty good. Serving sizes were good. We did order dessert. Very yummy chocolate cake. We, also, got a strawberry shortcake and some chocolate eclairs. By far, the chocolate cake was the yummiest. Overall, good first experience. We will be back to try their regular menu soon!
Got the table requested and all was excellent!
Valentine’s Day date. The staff is unbelievably accommodating. The food is excellent. The prices are right where they should be for food and service of this caliber. The feel of this place, on the other hand....
I felt as if I was in church and was not to say a word, lest I be heard. Everyone around me seemed to keep to a whisper. I felt strange about that. I can probably attribute this to the very wary reservation (5pm) that I was very late for (thank you to the staff for holding my table).
Excellent Valentine's dinner, even though it was a limited menu. Great service, excellent food and champagne!
Outstanding food and service. Great place to conduct business or catch up with friends and family.
My BFF and I were celebrating Valentine’s day. Spinach dip was cold and our server said they had issues with the drinks machine. My Diet Coke tasted bad. We ordered chicken fried steak and it wasn’t good. We aren’t coming back. Very disappointed😔
I like Ouisie's and have been for years and at the old Sunset location for years.
I was appalled by the sound level in both the main dining room, and particularly in the smaller room where I was yesterday. It was pretty outrageous, and I'd be surprised if you have not heard similar comments before. A little soundproofing on the ceiling and walls would make a huge difference. I know you had a lot of people in the restaurant, but this noise level was OVER THE TOP.
The cutest atmosphere, love the room in between the main restaurant and the outside patio
Everything was delicious and just enough!
First table we were seated at was chilly and we moved to a table close to the fireplace!
Restaurant was relaxed and elegant at the same time, we will surely come back.
If you go I hope you get to meet “Patience”!
Great atmosphere and food! Thank you to the pastry chef for the special baby cake whipped up that night as a surprise. Literally the best cake I have had...ever.
This was not the first time my food at Ouisie's Table was WAY over salted. A shame, since the menu looks so appetizing.
The service was great and it's a very nice restaurant. Good for groups or even a date. The food was OK, but I think I was expecting more "southern" food as it was described. The price was good so I could see myself going back, but in a big hurry to return.
We made a last minute reservation for our party of 10 and I'm glad we did. The food and drinks were amazing. We were the biggest table so I'm sure we were louder than normal patrons of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place for big groups or even for an intimate dinner. For appetizers, we ordered the mushroom risotto filled jalapenos and sautéed calamari. The jalapenos were so good, we ordered another one. For dinner, most of us ordered a seafood dish. I thought the halibut was bit bland but the New Orleans Red Snapper was flavorful. Get the lemon tart - it was the best out of the 3 desserts we ordered.
Ousies was pretty loud - but that is usual. The service was good, as always, but we were disappointed in one of the fish items. The red snapper was not good at all. It tasted like it had been frozen.
The piano player was great as usual.
Guirellmo is the waiter we always ask for but all of your staff are wonderful from the front reception to the bus boys.
I like best that the food is always served on hot plate less chance of food borne contamination.
Thats why i eat breakfast and dinner there
We had such a nice time having dinner there celebrating my husband’s birthday- and the wait staff was so courteous and solicitous of your needs and wants. Thank You All- It is always a great privilege to dine at Ouisie’s. Happy 2019 to All.
Great breakfast spot. The place needs to spend some money to improve tired-looking decor and furnishings
The service was slow and my eggs were not fully cooked. The waffle was mushy. All in a poor brunch experiene.
A long time favorite of mine both for personal and business dinner or lunch
I appreciated that the Manager came by and greeted us at our table. Very nice touch. Thank you.
Fantastic experience. Will use this as a celebration spot for our sons birthday. Great food, good pricing, and the absolute best service in Euston. Can’t say more. The only downfall is presentation on the plate. But that’s minor compared to all the positives.
Always good for over 20 years
Perfect as always.
Any occasion or no occasion. Food is great ,service great! Really enjoyed
The food and service was very good, as usual. However, We did not appreciate the noise from the wedding in the next room.
The wedding guests overwhelmed the restroom and I really did not appreciate watching a woman get sick
In the ladies room! I think that I will avoid Saturday nights from now on. The noise level was much higher
Due to the band and large number of wedding guests.
Not very good, period. There were several factors that played into this poor review but the main factor is the managers tried to pretend they were concerned that we were displeased with their service but their attention to our complaint was slow and disingenuous; I will not be back.
This was our first time to Ouisie's. We took some friends there for a Saturday lunch. It was lovely. The food was of high quality and the service was excellent. The only thing is that it is quite noisy in the main room. That said, I still highly recommend.
Pretty expensive and nothing special for brunch. Plus, I hate restaurants that block off parking and force you to valet park and then "suggest" a fee for parking.
Very pleasant ambiance even if a little loud. We went for lunch and the cream of broccoli soup, chicken salad sandwich, and Greek salad with salmon. It was all excellent. The staff was kind and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning to try other items on the menu.
