   We were sat right away, and the staff was friendly and the right amount of attentive. Food was good, but kind of typical Brooklyn/new American, so for the price it seemed high. Excluding the foie gras—that was worth the price 😀 wouldn’t make it my neighborhood go-to based on price but would definitely keep it in mind when we have money to spend. Overall we had a great dinner!

   We are foodies and have been to many fine dining establishments across the world. So we were surprised when despite asking and giving a preference and stated reason to want either the duck or steak cooked a little above medium, she flatly refused. That is disappointing and a bit pretentious. The only other option I had was the fish. Was decent but unfortunate to go to a recommended restaurant and not be able to get your food cooked how you want

   We have lived in this area for over 40 years and never had a local restaurant at this level. The creative dishes (an ethereal uni omelet, for example, was perfectly done, not a speck of brown on the airy, flavorful egg balanced with the fresh saline uni. Nice work!! Service was friendly even though the room was packed on this Saturday night. Our second time there and look forward to becoming regulars. Best of luck to Otway Jason and Cheryl Blonstein!

   My dinner at Otway was one of the best meals of my life. HIGH recommend!!!! The owners are so great. If they have uni on the menu, definitely get it. And the bread is fantastic.

   Great food with an intelligent approach. Some dishes were incredible (yeast semifreddo dessert, the duck) and others were a bit over powering (chickpeas- salt burn!) or underwhelming (escargot- lack of flavor), but all in all we appreciated the attention to ingredients and creative approach. Drinks were spot on. Service was excellent.

    While not the cheapest place in the neighborhood the food made the price well worth it. The preparation was interesting and beautiful. The food was so delicious I found myself talking about it the next day. This restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood. I highly recommend it for the delicious food and wonderful experience.
