Great food, good service!
One of our favorite places to go in Covington. Food came incredibly quickly and service was great
Very good experience service was very good …. Food Was very good my choice was not to my taste but was something I normally don’t care for just decided to give it a try overall very good restaurant will be back often
Great outdoor dining. Happy hour menu is incredible! Drinks were fun to pick from and excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection! Birthday celebration resulted in a slice of Opera Cream Cake! Otto's never disappoints and is one of my favorites! And is one of my favorites!
Outstanding dining experience. The staff and service was excellent! Highly recommend anything John Kimzey cooks up and designs in that kitchen.
service out of the kitchen is so quick. we were done eating in 35 minutes which for brunch is outstanding. had a GREAT server who knew the menu and kept things very easy.
Service is always outstanding here. Food is mediocre at best. Best thing on the menu is the fried green tomatoes. There are no vegan options and very few vegetarian options.
Salmon was excellent
Service was every good.
We will definitively go back
Amazing food and service!
Otto’s is small and cozy. The food, especially the Brussels sprouts, salmon, and halibut was excellent. The risotto is also delicious. We also enjoyed the house wine and the friendly staff.
We keep going back several times a year for "fried green tomatoes"!!
Simply delightful experience. Both the food and the service exceeded expectations :)
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes
Last night food our food was hot and served too quickly. The halibut tasted dry. The berry salad was very good. The shrimp and grits were average. Our server was friendly. However, for a restaurant with its prices, the server was dressed much too casually and did not pay attention to crumbs or used plates on our table. Overall, our meals was only an average expereince - lower than our last visit a couple of years ago. The place next door provides much more interesting food with better service.
First off the food was amazing. Our greeting by the hostess was overall off putting. She seemed not interested at all to be there. Put us at a high top when we specifically made a reservation. Our server was friendly. Sitting at the high top made it possible to over hear server conversations, the rolling of silverware, and the constant phone ringing, which was a cell phone passed around an answered by the wait staff while casually walking around as if it were a private conversation. Post covid ambiance was strange, hardly any tables. Completely different vibe than before. Always wonderful food, but not worth the price when the environment doesn’t suit.
Everything was great, however my wife ordered a salad to eat after apps and before the main dinner, sadly the salad was brought out with the main meal🤒
Food was exceptional. Attentive service , quaint ambiance. All four members of our party raved about the appetizers and our main entree. Brussels Sprouts were outstanding. Bought a gift card when leaving to pass on to a relative so he can try Ottos . Highly recommended.
Brunch at Otto's is always fantastic! The menu has a nice variety and the atmosphere is low key and casual, which is especially great for a weekend brunch with friends. The outdoor seating is nice, and there is ample seating on the first and second floors. When we were leaving, we noticed a rear patio area which looks inviting for a sunny summer day. The only issue we had was a 15 minute wait despite a reservation...The host left to take care of seating arrangements for another guest. Another staff member finally showed up as the line was growing. The hostess stand was also outside, which meant everyone waiting at the hostess stand was hovering over diners, which wasn't pleasant for the diners. The food was excellent and our server was friendly and efficient. Definitely one of our favorites!
Food is well prepared and delicious as usual. My husband loves their bagel and lox (says the lox are the freshest) and I live the avocado toast (or the lemon blueberry pancakes).
Due to the seating limitation, the main dining/bar area has been opened up with tables spread farther apart so there's less seating. The 2nd floor is now open for Saturday nights and Sunday brunch. The space is lovely. We had "the best table" in the house -- table for 2 overlooking the street but tucked into an alcove so we felt very private and intimate.
We sat by the bar and ended up sharing apps. Lovely fun time with relaxed but attentive and friendly service. Food was fresh and delicious.
Everything was wonderful! :)
Otto's has earned a stellar reputation over the years.
We love their creative menus, their generous cocktails and their kind-hearted staff.
They are still following Covid Restrictions meaning the bar is closed, tables spread out and everyone is masked. I requested a larger table but was denied so sat at a very small table. They do not have bread? They offer a soup and salad but no bread. A four or five star restaurant should offer bread. The food was otherwise good although the menu is limited.
My party of 8 had to bump our reservation and then we were still 5 minutes late, but the staff was more than accommodating. Among the group we had everything on the menu, and every plate was clean by the end of the meal. I will definitely be returning. Thank you to the staff. It was a wonderful high school graduation dinner :)
Ottos is one of my favorite places to eat. I made reservations about a week early for a friends birthday. When we arrived the place was slammed and we had no table. The server tried to take us upstairs but one person in the party has an issue with walking so that was a no go. Then they ask us to go outside but since there was rain that was not acceptable. I complained and spoke to the lady who was the manager and she moved tables and got us set up. Apparently there was a glitch with the Open table app and they had far too many reservation for the time??? But, we were comped our meal and so they made it right. That is gd customer service and gd listening skills from the manager and the server.
Sooooo good! Service a bit slow but other than that, perfection!
My daughter in laws Mother was here from New York and we wanted to take her out for a nice dinner. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing and service was great although there was only one server and the bar tender. She did an amazing job! I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! . We also had the pasta and a filet. The filet was outstanding, tender and a fabulous flavor. The pasta was very flavorful and I can't wait to try it again. Ottos is Certainly my new go to for a delicious mesl!
Even with a reservation, we weren’t seated for over a half an hour. Then we were put at an upstairs table where they seemed to forget we were there. It took forever to get water, then forever to get silverware, then drinks, then food. The food was great though!
Good as always!
Once we were seated, everything was great. However, our 11:45am reservation meant we could stand in line till 12:15. Reminded me of a Seinfeld episode about rental cars, they know how to take reservations but not how to hold them.
Great service and food. Happy hour menu for drinks and apps until 6pm was a nice surprise too!
Ottos is literally the perfect location, ambiance and the food is the best in Cincinnati! Go now!
2 birthdays. Had a wonderful experience. Ruthie was attentive and engaging. A plus. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you. We save your restaurant for special occasions!!!!
Otto's is a longtime gem of the Covington Mainstrasse scene, and long may it prosper.
Our favorite place! Food is always amazing and the ambience is right up our alley. What a great experience.
Very nice. A little noisy but nice to be there on a Sunday evening when every table was filled. Celebratory. Food was very good, probably not spectacular. Service was very good. We will go back...the whole neighborhood was alive last night, and it felt great after a long year of not eating out.
Everything Was great! I always order the scallops and they were perfect as always. Everyone in our party was very happy with the meal and service. Thank you!!!
Overall good. Busy & out of some food items so plan to go early
Busy around 1-2 make sure to book on here before going or expect a wait! Food was good and service was as good as it could be considering how busy it was! Parking will be difficult make sure to come early to find a spot! Overall I would come back!
