Otto's Bierhalle

We ordered pork hock, pork belly , french fries and dark beer. The portion matched the price. French
fries were fresh ; you could tell it was not fast food taste.

The amazing texture of the crunchy skin of the pork hock was the highlight of the dishes!
The herbs applied was perfect. If 20% less salt used into the pork hock , that would bring out
the taste of the marinated- herb- pork .

We will come again to see if there will be improvement of less sodium in the meat.
Service was excellent ! Bravo!

Really fun environment, great sharing platters and selections of beers. The washrooms have a cool button you press and the room turns into a disco.

It was an awesome feast for 3 people. We had Oktoberfest and added chicken schnitzel. Tasty sausages and sides in one plate! We enjoyed to dig in with my friends! Our table was offered to the table beside the window from inside of the inside tables! Thanks for their hospitality and great servers!

Such a great place for a social meal - family style platters full of delicious German fare. Highly recommend!

The food was good but the service was horrible. Second time coming there so very disappointed by the rude and inattentive service. We had a great experience the first time so we were looking forward to a repeat visit. Will not be returning.

Love that there’s a veggie option for most every dish on the menu. Food was fantastic, drinks were delicious. Server was awesome. Had a great time.

Its simple, this place has awesome German food, great selection of beers, awesome service with smile and patience.

I wanted to like Otto's bierhalle, but it was just OK. Service was so-so, from the 5 minute wait to be seated when the place is less than half full, to the explanation of the beers (there's a lot so it takes a minute to wrap your head around that many options). We had the Octoberfest platter ($49) which was 4 sausages (all very good), a mountain of tasty fries, some light and delicious sauerkrout (too little unfortunately) , various pickles (hit & miss) & mustard selection.
All in for 2 people with 2 beers each, we raked up a $100 bill, which felt a bit steep for what we got.
If a friend wanted to meet there, i wouldn't object too loudly, but it's not like i'm the one who'd recommend Otto.

This is one of the best restaurant which I have ever tried before! Best food! Best beer! And Best service!

Food was delicious (great fries!!), our server was lovely, the beer was great (of course). It was a little loud (the windows were open so street sounds were spilling in), but I feel that is a standard setting in a bierhalle! Maybe not ideal for a first date but do not miss the chance to experience!

First time at Otto's and was impressed with the food, drink choices and overall service!

Wheat beer should be served in wheat beer glasses to taste right. Schnitzel was good for the price. Mushroom sauce is interesting but certainly not an authentic German mushroom gravy. Potato salad was different and nobody in Germany would eat it. Some improvement required on the later two.

Great night. The Octoberfest Feast was so huge and delicious. Really a great place for a family dinner.

Delicious as usual! But I miss the Brussels sprouts. and the fennel and citrus salad!

Overall a very fun place. Quick service at bar or table, servers well trained and know their stuff. Lots of beers on tap for any palate, including a good dose of IPAs and sours. Many interesting bottles as well.

This place is losing food quality. Service is terrible everytime I go. The waiters have so much attitude and seem to hate their jobs.

Horrible place. Their indoor seating was not indoors at all and they had no air conditioning. It was sweltering “in there” on one of the hottest days in Toronto so far. They have a windowless restaurant which made it incredibly uncomfortable for eating and sitting there. The food is not good either, had the schnitzel and it tasted very odd - almost sour like. Would not recommend and would never go back.

Amazing brunch, recommend the spicy garlic wurst. Pancake could be softer, it was very hard. It was summer, inside was very hot and humid, it would be better if there’s a fan.

Had a great time at Otto’s. The place itself is very inviting and unpretentious. I love their selection of beers. The food is also very good.

Delicious brunch and one of my favourite places to grab a beer. Their tap menu is fantastic! Check out their funky washrooms.

I expected a type of atmosphere akin to WRST however I was pleasantly surprised with a amazing open air atmospheric venue, truly an amazing destination.

We had a great experience. We were quite disappointed about the fact there was no red cabbage. Fortunately the food they did have was amazing.

The food was not really authentic german, more of a fusion of sorts. The beer is the only good thing about the place and if you like pretzels, they were pretty good too. Not a good lunch though.

Very nice place. Unfortunately I came on a Sunday when they only serve brunch. Still delicious food though. I came originally for the Schweinshaxe but this gives me another opportunity to visit this restaurant with my wife.

Great service, good food, good portions, helpful and friendly staff. Worth the money!!
