I am a frequent guest at Otto, dining there 5 to 10 times a month. As always, last evening was exquisite. From the service to the meal, it was perfect. Our server, Michael, made the evening fun and enjoyable, but what stuck out was his work ethic. He made sure our plates were hearty and our glasses fun.
Fabulous food and terrific service!
First time here. This is a good restaurant. Everything prepared well. Nice wine list. A bit loud. But, we were able to carry on a conversation. Staff is professional. Convenient place to meet up in the village. We’ll go back.
We went with three kids. Perfect table in the back. Great service and food was fantastic, as always.
Just too noisy.
The place has a good ambiance, however, the food is nothing to rave about. My dish was meant to have anchovies and I couldn't taste them at all... and they have a very distinct flavor! Pretty much gave me spaghetti with red sauce instead of an elaborate dish with anchovies. My husband felt cheated with his dish too. But we were with two other couples and the wine and jokes kept on coming so we didn't complain, we just let it be.
This is our third time here and it’s always a pleasure. Thank you for always giving us great food, particularly well picked out wine (my glass of Chianti was $18/ 2014 vintage/ 100% worth it) and fantastic service with knowledgeable and accommodating servers and busboys.
We were looking forward to trying this restaurant, but unfortunately the noise level was so intense that we could hardly hear ourselves speak. As for the dining experience, the wine (a Montepulciano 2014) was excellent, and I enjoyed the cardons bagna cauda, but my penne with walnut-parsley sauce was tasteless, and my friend's arugula salad was very ordinary. I think he enjoyed the puttanesca. Although I've heard your pizza's wonderful, I would not go back, mainly on account of the noise. Maybe a better plan would be to order the pizza and have it at home. Sorry for the negative review, but that's the way it was.
Great wine list, great bartender(Andy), & the clam pizza...delish!
Good experience for a fast dinner. Right balance between cost and quality.
The food has really gone down hill and used to be much better. Pizza dough was tough and overcooked. In NY there are so many great italian options and this used to be one of them but not anymore. I think only tourists come here now who don't know better.
Amazing vegetables and salads for diners looking to mix a group of omnivores and vegetarians. We loved our meal.
This was one of my all time favorites for about the past 4 years. However, the last two times the quality of the food has went way down hill. Insanely salty . The Lentils and burrata are always amazing. The pizza was fine, but my guest had the carbonara and it was so salty it was inedible. No one stopped by to see how the food was, so we just shared the pizza and apps. Dessert were good. Sure hope they fix the quality food issues.. would love to try again, just not anytime soon.
This is the third time visiting. I came back for the lasagna bolognese and it did not disappoint. Also the dessert with the Olive Oil gelato was to die for. The food is delicious and the service was very attentive.
Four friends shared plates and everyone was pleased.
Wonderful pizza!! So many options for anyone!
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst meals that I have had in NYC. The waiter was quite nice but the food was just so unpleasant. The prime rib appetizer was so fatty. I could barely stand like looking at it. The vegetables were ice cold, clearly prepared very far in advance.
Outstanding food, charming ambience. Noise level very high for such a small, quaint place. Hard to find with scaffolding around if you aren't from the area. We were just visiting and wanted to try local fare. Very close to entrance of Washington Park. Dogs permitted in restaurant - didn't like that. Wait staff very responsive and good suggestions.
Our waitress was great; accommodated our gluten free/Celiac disease allergy was handled wonderfully. Food was great as usual.
This is one of my fave nyc spots and it was excellent as usual!
This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites. The service is incredible. The food is incredible. The prices are incredible.
I forgot why I haven't been here in a while, it's nothing special. Go to Lupa one of the other restaurants they have under the umbrella. Food is mediocre at best the atmosphere and size of the restaurant is what this place has going for it.
great service and great food.
Great food and service!!!!
Soup was amazing. I had the Cacio e Pepe pizza. Its the best pizza I have ever had in my life! A must try!! My fav place!
Sorry cannot rate wine list since do not drink. aaaaaaaaaa
I have eaten here before and I feel like on this visit the food tasted flat, especially the red sauce items; the Bolognese was especially blah. The sfogato and pepperoni pizza were stellar as always, but not much else was.
Great place to bring your kids. Many choices on the menu and we always enjoy the meal!
Main courses excellent but we did not like the appetizers at all. They were all a little strange. However the desserts are quite good especially the olive oil ice cream.
Super Bowl night so very quiet. Octopus appetizer was awful, no taste and dry rubbery octopus. Beets with pistachios was better, but also pretty bland. Pizza Quattro Formagi was okay. Crispy crust, but not great.
The service was good. Probably because it was so quiet.
I had been here years ago, and it was much better then.
Love the man behind the bar!!
Our server was great, very friendly and competent.
The spinach salad was very tasty. Unfortunately, the pizza (Margherita) was really bad. We just ate it because we were really hungry.
Fantastic! We always loved the one in Vegas but this was even better. Our waiter was terrific and they even willingly and readily moved us when my husband decided to join at the last minute.
Usually love eating here, service slow, pasta warm at best, while very crowded I was disappointed this trip. Will only go back for bar, pizza and wine going forward.
Service was terrible
Once again, a wonderful dinner at Otto. Pizza. Pasta. And soup were all excellent. My favorite restaurant in NYC!
Otto never disappoints. I brought some friends visiting from Brazil, because I knew that they would love it. And they did, down to the 5 year old. Our server was wonderful as well.
