Burratta cheese with prosciutto, mixed olives, roasted pepper, balsamic vinegar
Sat us 45 minutes after reservation. Kids were starving. Asked to bring their dinner with apps. Didn’t happen. 6:30 res got meals after 8.
My big complaint is the noise level. Sound proofing would help. Food was pretty good. Loved the artichoke appetizer. And the desserts delish! Service was great.
The food was awesome, service was great.
The food was delicious but they did not honor our reservation time. We sat 35 minutes after our reservation.
Our primary server was terrific--Ariel. However, the front desk and bus staff could be a bit more professional.
Service was outstanding. Food delicious and ambiance was pleasantly noisy. Can’t wait to visit again.
Tini is awesome!
Branzino was fantastic and service was excellent! Thanks
We went to celebrate my husbands birthday. The space is lovely and relaxing. The wait staff were knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive.
The food is incredible. The grilled octopus was the best we have had. The sautéed clams were delicious. My husband had the veal Oscar which was tender and delicious. I had the capellini with crab in a light tomato sauce. They did not skimp on the lump crab and I loved this pasta as did my husband. We had profiteroles (different preparation than I’m used to but delicious) and peanut gelato in a hard chocolate shell. One dessert would have been plenty to share but we were celebrating.
Can’t wait to go back as there are so many dishes we want to try
Excellent food. Every course was amazing.
The food was wonderful once we got it. Service was not good, no silverware, and late reservation.
It's still new and needs to get their staffing together but it's worth sticking in there.
Our waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable
We all enjoyed our meal, nice selection
Glad to have Otto by Polpo in the neighborhood
The food was amazing but they were very short staffed—the maitre’d was also the only server and consequently was not able to make as many visits to the table as the price per dish dictates.
Bathrooms were out of toilet paper, loud explicit rap was playing in the dining room—I heard 5 f-bombs at lunch!
I’m coming back for dinner this week as I love their other restaurants but geez...they need to get their act together!
Perhaps just the post pandemic mania but service was off-
Felt very rushed-
Food was good though-
Will return for that.
Veal chop was one of the best I have has in awhile . Service was excellent and we were not rushed .
As Usual , everything great, especially my server,TIni.. he’ the best.. attentative, professional, and always serves hot food!! Cant go wrong here! Salute’ Bekem and staff!
The patio was very pleasant. What a much needed great Italian restaurant on the main line.
We had the Chicken Francese and Chicken Milanese (Piallard) Both dishes were good but not memorable. Presentation is basically slapping the chicken on the plate and that's it.
We ordered the bruschetta...there was so much red onion in the bruschetta we asked them to remove it from the table because the smell of the red onion was overwhelming. Basil, garlic, tomato, and Olive oil..is all you need for yummy bruschetta. The baby Kale salad was good, I asked for them to go light on the goat cheese.....I would hate to see how much goat cheese is normal. Our server was none existent, we continuously had to cal over ( the place was no busy) other servers. Redi Our server was never ready. We may go back to try the pasta, but right now there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Bryn Mawr!
This was our first visit and it was for lunch. We sat outside in a charming small area. The lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu, so can be pricey for lunch as side dishes are extra and entrees are mostly in mid to high twenties. However portions are generous and the quality of the food outstanding. Two of us had veal dishes and both thought it was the best veal we ever had. The other in our party had the pasta Pescatore and raved about it. Also the fact it is a BYO cuts down on the costs. We will most definitely go back - some of the best food to be found on the Main Line
Otto By Pulpi was fantastic! We had their Octopus special and their House Special Risotto as well as a cheese & charcuterie - everything was delicious. This place is BYOB - we’ll definitely be coming back with some nice Italian wine!
Great Food!!! I prefer eating outside. Not as noisy. Have eaten their twice. Great food and service.
Made another reservation already. Can't wait ti try again outside.
What a lovely little restaurant! My daughter and I celebrated my birthday in grand style. We opted for a table outdoors, which was delightful. The heaters kept us comfortable even though the temperature was a little chilly. We shared the calimari appetizer and enjoyed it. I had the flounder special and my daughter had the lobster ravioli and both were outstanding. The portions were generous and we were able to take a portion of our meal home to have the next night. The service was lovely and professional. We will definitely go back.
Have been there three times in the last 2 months. Food is excellent. However, the noise level is very high as in most of the restaurants that we go to. That seems to be the norm.
Looking forward to returning.
Otto by Polpo is a great addition to Main Line dining. The food and service are both excellent and the menu (tilted toward seafood and pasta) has something for everyone. The staff is very professional and clearly this is not their first fine dining experience. BYOB is a plus of course. The only negative is the fact that a full restaurant ( the norm the two times we were there) is very noisy. Floor covering would help but don’t let this keep you from trying this great restaurant.
This is my second visit since the recent opening and I am very pleased that this visit was the best overall. I have recommended the restaurant to three friends and all gave rave reviews. I have made a reservation for next week to celebrate my friend's birthday.
A wonderful dining experience.
This restaurant is new to our area. My husband and I decided on a last minute lunch. Wow! It blew our socks off. Every morsel of what we ate was superb! We can’t wait to go back!
Went for a birthday dinner on a Monday - busy but not loud. Everything we had was wonderful, service was great, and we are looking forward to going back and sitting outside. Would highly recommend.
Fabulous meal and great service. All in all a wonderful experience and cannot wait to return!
The outdoor dining area is fabulous, nice atmosphere for evening dining and great heaters. Food and service was excellent!
10 out of 10! I went for lunch and the service from Tini was spectacular and he made us feel so welcomed. I’m picky with Italian food and this restaurant exceeded my expectations and now this will be my go to restaurant for Italian food
Wonderful food and service. Unfortunately there was a loud party that made it difficult to talk. We ate indoors but there is a small outdoor seating. We had bruschetta and lasagna. Al we’re delicious. BYOB makes it a plus.
We had an wonderful time at this restaurant. Great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Food is delicious, table service excellent ,outdoor setting perfect. The only hitch was having to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time for our table.
I have patronized this restaurant family since their beginning. They do not disappoint. The food is consistent and delicious. A gem in bryn mawr
Other than waiting 15 minutes to get seated for a 7 pm reservation with 12-15 people on the sidewalk, this was a very nice evening. Good service and excellent food.
Best Italian food since Italy!! Everything was exceptional. We were seated almost a half hour after our reservation, but it was so worth the wait. We can't wait to go back!
OTTO by POLPO, a new Italian byob in Bryn Mawr , is a nice addition to the Main Line restaurant scene. Extensive menu selections which are of high quality were enjoyed. We (wife and self) had calamari, salads, veal and pasta, all fresh and well made. The tiramisu for dessert was especially excellent (made "in house" apparently)
Quibbles include an underdressed maitre d' (ripped jeans on a Saturday night a li too over casual for me), a table too close to the entrance (specifically asked to be away from the door on Open Table), needing to request bread (at these prices bread should be a given), and totally solitary entrees (no accompanying side dish with either the veal or pasta selections)
However, the atmosphere is pleasant and the service courteous and competent. The prices are not outrageous, but not cheap (25 dollars for most pasta dishes and more for the veal selections). The quality was most satisfactory, as noted, however.
Overall, it was a fine dining experience. Not a "wow" but definitely a "keeper" and a spot to which we will gladly return.
All good just very noisy and wasn’t even at full capacity
We had an incredible lunch, the food was great and the espresso and homemade tiramisu were delicious.
Food was unexpectedly good as was the service. Unfortunately, we could not hold a conversation because the room is so loud. Changing the surfaces to absorb some sound would make this a five star restaurant.
