Otopia is currently operating as a walk-in bar venue with open seating. Located on the eleventh floor of the Otis Hotel, Otopia Rooftop Bar and Lounge offers a one-of-a-kind experience from sun up to sun down. With signature sun-themed cocktails, a raw beef + sushi bar, and stellar views of campus and downtown Austin, Otopia is prepared to wow. We believe in providing outstanding guest service, innovative and fresh food offerings and tasteful music that is sure to guarantee a fantastic evening for you and your party. We offer our Golden Hour Happy Hour, Monday through Thursday.. 1 hour prior to and 1 hour post sunset. 1/2 off select apps, $2 off wine by the glass and an $8 rotating signature cocktail.

    Not sure why Otopia is on OpenTable because when we arrived, the staff said they don’t take reservations. There was a large party that had arrived unexpectedly, but despite all that the staff was able to provide a spot that we could gather. View was nice and weather was fantastic, so good ambience. Do not get the shrimp cocktail.

    The service was horrible. The server kept avoiding us. She said she doesn’t serve because she is a manager.

    Best part was the views which were stunning! Food was a disappointment, crab rolls were very greasy and the sushi was just ok. Took a long time to get anything, staff weren’t particularly polite.

    They were short staffed and we got only half of our food order after 1.5 hrs. Had to go downstairs and order food.

    It hit the trifecta of what a great place to chill, conversation and enjoy great finger foods. A must place to experience. The service was par excellence. We felt like a celebrity! Our servers were very attentive and efficient! We almost ordered all they have but we had a second order of the dumplings yummmm! The drink choices are sheer perfection too! But most of all the VIEW what great bonus. They have complimentary valet parking too! Will for sure go back and have a soirée with my Besties for my upcoming birthday!

    The kitchen was closed but the restaurant in the lobby had food we could bring and the cocktails were amazing!

    Very nice view and ambience! The frozen sungria was delicious. Food was just okay and very small portions for expensive prices.

    We gave Otopia a poor rating because the service was bad. it was not very crowded and we had been seated for 20 minutes before we even got a cocktail. Waitress did not even ask us if we wanted anything to eat which we did but since the service was poor we left. We were very disappointed as this was our 1st time to visit. however I must say that the waitress did offer us a second round of cocktails on the house because it took so long to get the first round. That was nice

    “Do you have anything sweet on the menu?” “Just drinks.” We migrated upstairs after appetizers at Ace 41 and asked if they had anything on the menu sweet (thinking dessert) but they didn’t have anything to offer. So, go knowing it is JUST a bar.

    I came across this bar while searching online and I'm happy I did. The atmosphere was amazing and the vibe was exactly what I needed in a place to kickback and chill. I was able to talk business and have a few cocktails with friends, the Champagne Supernova is a new fave! The food is a must try especially the beef pot stickers. They were a 1st for me, but so tasty I order a second round. The manager Luke was nice to meet and my waitress Julissia was attentive and accommodating. I've definitely found a new rooftop to enjoy.
