   I was excited to try Otoño as soon as I heard Chef Teresa Montaño interviewed on KPCC. We made a point of visiting the restaurant for the New Mexico menu that I heard about on the radio, and liked it so much we decided to go back to try the rest of the menu. It was even more delicious than the first visit! We had a sampling of many things and loved everything we tried. From the Mulled Sangria to the Paella Ibérica, it was a scrumptious meal, and we left the restaurant very full and very happy! We’ll be back to try more!

   We tried the 6 course prix fixe for date night. The service was great and the overall experience was alright but I did not like any of the 6 dishes. My husband enjoyed them and ate for 2. Overall the food seemed like it was bought at trader Joe's and doused in extra virgin olive oil. Not to my taste at all. Dessert tasted like hand soap to me. Maybe go for the fancy drinks but skip the food unless you really love olive oil.

   The restaurant apparently makes their paella intended to be crunchy on the bottom, but we ordered two different types and each was burned to the point that a significant amount of the dishes were inedible. It was also too salty. I’ve been to Spain and tried 8 different types of paella and loved each one. I was looking forward to enjoying this dish, and unfortunately we were all disappointed. The chef always very accommodating and brought out replacement dishes which were great, everything else besides the paella was wonderful.

   Our service was incredible and we had an amazing date night here. We did the new dinner for two option, which was very well priced and was the perfect amount of food. Simple done well - doesn't get much better than that.

   We tried the Tasting Menu and it was course after course of delectable food. The oxtail fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. The scallop, shrimp, muscle, etc was excellently cooked. The dessert of churros was light and crispy with deep earthy chocolate. And the bread was scrumptious and outstanding even though it was in service to featured dishes.

   Don’t sit outdoors - the seating is very noisy and the service is slow when they’re this busy. Also, the food is good but not outstanding. Lighter fare and the preserves stand out.

   First time dining here. Had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday. Server was excellent and was very knowledgeable. Food was delicious, drinks were delicious and food was delicious. Highly recommend the paella. Will definitely return.

    If you like paella, you are missing out if you don’t try this restaurant. Excellent, fresh and authentic Spanish food in a restaurant with a totally cool vibe. Worth the moderate cost in every way, great wine menu and craft cocktails to boot 🍸
