We opted for the “Otaru Experience” on the menu and it was absolutely fabulous! Lauren was our server- she described every dish in detail and helped me navigate a gluten allergy and still have one of the most amazing meals we’ve had! (Ask for her!)

The vibes at Otaru are chill with the beautiful ambience and scenic view of the city. Toro sashimi is the best bite of the night. Cocktails were great, must try the New Zu

We loved Otaru. It was our first time there. The restaurant is very cool. I liked the vibe and the views are spectacular. The food was excellent. Our favorites were the hand rolls. Like little sushi tacos, with a generous amount of fish. Our server, Lauren was very helpful. She made a couple of recommendations which we turned out to be what we liked the best. She was also very knowledgeable about what I can eat since I’m gluten free.

Views are amazing. Our server was super friendly but kept forgetting things we asked for, and brought items out at odd times. We ordered 2 sets of pork buns ( which had waaaay too much sauce) so the 4 of us could try them, but only one order was brought out. We cancelled the 2nd order because our meals arrived before it did. The Treasure box was pretty but even our waiter said one of the items, rubbery white squid? was the “least favorite”. So why is it still included? The beef udon was beautiful but bland and didn’t even taste good. The hostess was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Definitely not worth the price.
