   It was our first time dining at Ostra. We absolutely loved it. We were celebrating an anniversary and made reservations to sit at the bar. Christian was our server (the best). He gave us a good understanding of the menu and recommended great dishes. Of the starters we enjoyed, the Sea Bass tartare, Ricotta Gnochetti and Grilled Octopus were exquisite. The Octopus was the best I had ever had. My least favorite was the Prime Sirloin Carpaccio. The Carpaccio tasted fine, but the others were another level. Our main courses were the Grilled Sea Bream in Trevisano Leaf and the 8 oz filet. Both the fish and and filet melted in your mouth and the flavors were vibrant. The cocktail, Beeline, and wine suggestion, Lioco, were on point and accentuated the dinner. I really look forward to my next visit. Definitely ask for Christian when you go!

   Good and service superb. Only issue was that doors didn’t open until 5:15 when we had 5:30 reservation. Had to wait outside.

   The octopus was over burned and the main dish- salt crust fish “show” was too far from our table while people keep passing between us and the waiter that was doing the “show” and regardless part of it was too salty

   Great food but mediocre service. Fresh seafood with contemporary preparation. Half the staff seems experienced but the other half are slow and unorganized. Staff issues would be more excusable if cheaper prices.

    Best fish in Boston! The tartars were fantastic. The food and service was spectacular. The main courses were delicious and beautifully plated. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable of the offerings. Definitely save room for dessert because it is so good and also beautifully plated. I would recommend Ostra for a special occasion and also just an upscale meal for wonderful fish dish in Boston.

    Visited two nights in a row: Sea Bream was very Dry topped with Oregano which was overpowering to the dish Shrimp WAY overcooked and tough Calamari app was just pathetic, no meat just breading WAY overcooked Octopus app tough and overcooked The previous night we had Paella which was also overcooked and very dry, even the chicken was dry BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

    This was our second visit to Ostra - we came back because we had exceptional experience in both the food and service the first time around. Well, unfortunately it was not quite up to the first trip - the service was a bit on the slower side, though the server was very nice, knowledgable and overall very helpful. The food itself was very good for the most part - the paella was clearly overcooked, as the rice stuck to the pan and the shellfish were tough and lacked flavor - very disappointing rendition of paella.

    Good for special occasions, but we went on a Saturday night so the environment wasn’t my personal favorite(too loud) The food was wonderful and our waiter was just as good!

    The octopus and lobster gnocchi are my favorites and never disappoint! Paella is excellent! Brandon is a wonderful server who has waited on us several times before.

    Everyone that works there is so friendly, warm, and helpful. The food is fresh and flavorful, portions are perfect. Definitely worth it and would recommend to anyone looking for a fine dining experience. We had a gluten and dairy allergy at our table and they were extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what substitutions to make.

    I downgraded the food by a star because the caviar was not up to part (had the beluga hybrid, and it simply was nearly tasteless. I have had much beluga in my life and this wasn't quite it. Next time I'll try the Osetra. The first and main courses that we had were outstanding as they always are at Ostra! The service a delight.

    Just a wonderful meal. The oysters were wonderful. Paella and Monkfish were just perfect And the snow egg desserts were the perfect ending. Caitlyn was an excellent server and guided us through a wonderful meal. She made a special night even more special. Can’t wait to come back.By far our best dining experience in Boston

    There is a reason Ostra is considered one of the best fine-dining spots in Boston. The service and food are stellar. We celebrated our anniversary and they took such good care of us. It’s expensive, but worth if when you want a fun and festive night out.

    It seemed like a very busy night that night, so service was incredibly slow. The food was mostly ok but my meal came with missing vegetables which were eventually corrected by the staff but not before I finished the main part of the meal.
