We had a bunch of apps including octopus. Mains were cioppiino and sea bass. Everything was excellent.
Definitely one of Tampa’s best. Great food and even better service!
Great food! The homemade pasta was absolutely delicious and the gluten free vegan option for my wife was as well. Highly recommend.
I was disappointed considering the hype in the press. The space is beautiful but the pasta did not live up to my expectations. Seafood pasta with red sauce was bland like they poured the Zuppa di Pesce on it and the pancetta tonsprouts ratio was was too high in the rigatoni
Most outstanding service ever and wonderful homemade pastas
We loved the variety and quality of the food at Osteria... the pork chop was DELICIOUS! Excellent service from a friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Highly recommend their cocktails... loved the Osteria Spritz.
So delicious!! Our waiter was awesome
Great location and great restaurant. The food was authentic and fresh. The entire serve staff were very good.
Amazing design. Good value. Highly recommend.
Delicious and creative menu. The tuna carpaccio was delicious as well as the linguine with seafood.
I was excited to try Osteria. I heard great things about the chef. I arrived and check in, we was greeted and the hostesses were very nice. My wife and I sat at the outside bar for a drink which was mediocre at best, especially for a 14$ cocktail. We were seated inside and ordered an appetizer (coccoli plate) which was decent, the salad on the other hand was poorly executed and they deep fried the artichokes which was distasteful. My wife ordered the lamb shank which was cooked well but was missing salt and I ordered the octopus which was superb. Looking back I would of chosen a traditional pasta dish. There’s some work to be done but all in all it was a pleasant experience. In regards to the price, it’s not up to the standards of what 35 a plate would provide in Tampa. Maybe next time.....
Food was ok.. but they had no steak sauce .. no hot sauce like really no nothing to go with certain items you order ... great location tho
Exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait to go back so I can try more of the menu!
After all the hype the food was just MEH. We had the octopus, which was cooked very nicely however the flavoring wasn’t that exciting and it was salty. We also had frito misto which was just ok and also the buratta which was the best of the three. We decided to give some homemade pasta a try so we ordered rigatoni in a jar. This was very tasty but also a little too salty. We boxed it up and when I reheated it at home I added some cream and it was delicious. Not sure if the chef was having an off night or what. Though the food was slightly disappointing the service was excellent! For the prices I want to be wowed but I wasn’t.
Great food, glad I had reservations as it was packed. Nice ambiance. Bread at table would be nice, instead of upon request.
Fantastic food and service was great!
Food is amazing
Barely any pasta options during lunch time, no point in going unless for dinner. Had I realized how few pasta choices there were I never would’ve gone. Don’t need to go to an Italian restaurant for their pancakes, why not offer more actual Italian food during lunch/brunch??
The staff was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the menu
We were greeted by a super friendly hostess that immediately wished my friend a “happy birthday!” Matthew was an excellent server. He helped us select some AMAZING appetizers, entree, pizza, and pasta! The manager, Frank, also came over to wish our friend a happy birthday and to make sure everything was on point!!! Will definitely come back again!
The food was fantastic and the service very friendly. The noise level was high. We will recommend it to friends.
Food was amazing!
We had an excellent meal, our server was wonderful. We will be back again.
The food was outstanding. The service was superb.
Fantastic from start to finish!!!
Our first time here for brunch (we’ve been for dinner and it was great too - HUGE gluten free menu for dinner which is a plus!) ... everything was delicious and it was a beautiful day to sit on the patio!
Another great meal! Food & drinks were amazing. Harrison our waiter is a true pro! Looking forward to our next meal.
Food description weren't very clear and my friend sent her order back for something else. brunch menu needs some help but im told the italian entrees are where it's at so I'll likely return for dinner next time.
The atmosphere was excellent, the service was excellent. The food was good, but not worth the hefty prices. It was $100 for 2 persons with 1 drink each.
Great addition to the Tampa restaurant scene. Pricey, but welll worth it. I most certainly will come again.
First visit here was transcendent; this time not so much. Service was a little amateurish and annoying. Octopus still amazing but small for the price. Bread great. Pizza good. Pasta dishes all a little too rich—they could cut back on the butter a tad. Outside seating next to bus box wasn’t great. Overall good but not great like before.
Christmas Eve at Osteria Tampa was perfect. Octopus was tender and charred beautifully. Salads were fresh and tasty, not overly dressed. My husband never finishes his salad and I was prepared to do it for him but he ate the whole thing! The special tortelloni with lobster and scallops were terrific, as was the squid ink pasta. Both were served mixed with uni butter.... just amazing. Our server Dominick was attentive and pleasant with top notch service right down to the suggested wines. In between courses the silverware was changed, the table was kept clean (despite our efforts to make a mess), and the water glasses were always full. Thank you for the best dining experience we have had in Tampa in a long long time. We will be back.
Second time we simply love the food and the service. The food has so much taste and very fresh, they also very friendly servers that go out of their way for my vegetarian son in law with allegories. They are truly a top notch restaurant if you appreciate the better dining experience but yet so down to earth to want to go more than special occasion. Truly love it....
We had a server named Peggy and she’s a huge reason why we will be back besides the awesome food and atmosphere it’s great for brunch and overall just a great time :)
The octopus was excellent as well as the salad. The beef rib ragu was was delicious!
Had a wonderful holiday dinner with my parents the week before Christmas. The service was professional, yet friendly. The pacing of the meal may have be slow for some but it was perfect for us as it allowed us chat and not feel rushed. All of the dishes we ordered were amazing! Some of the best Italian food we have eaten outside of Italy. Definitely, a must add for any foodie visiting Tampa.
amazing food and service. We had the pork chop and it was so big we split it.
There were four of us for dinner. We sat in the bar side, which I think has better ambiance than the dinnner side. The dinner menu is focused on Italian, with freshly made pasta. The wines by the glass is fairly extensive and very good. There is valet parking.
Server and service was excellent. Very lovely. Confusion on table number and drops for food and drinks, but minor issue. Food was great. Pizza was awesome and tasty. Meatball was a little dry and sauce was a little watered down. Bummed because we had it before and it was exceptional and delicious. Lara dishes were great and would get again. Table was outside which was fine. Weather was comfortable. Outdoor heaters were going out frequently which made the females a little chilly. Atmosphere was lively, popping and fun. Would definitely try it again!
This trendy new restaurant has terrific service. The noise level however, was obnoxious. It was impossible to carry on a conversation with anyone at your table. The food was decent, but with all the great Italian restaurants in Tampa, I would find a different one for the next time.
The food service and overall experience was amazing. Already booked another dinner for next week. This is a gem for Tampa
