The night we went they were understaffed. I made a reservation on open table then got a message that I did not keep my reservation but there was no place to check in. We went to the bar and the bartender was nice but totally overwhelmed. Was not able to take our drink order for over 20 minutes. We were hungry so had to leave. The place is cute and there are a lot of choices and I've had great food here before but this night did not go well.

I think it's a little too fancy for a mall. It was good but you can get bigger portions for less money in other parts of Primo Mercato.

Love the entire concept of the Primo Mercato at the Short Hills Mall. We ate at one of the table service restaurants. We thought the food and service was very good. Pasta was reasonably priced and not large portions that was great for us. I have only one complaint I feel the wine pour could be a bit more generous. I don’t think it’s 7 ounces.

Food was good but pricey for lunch. No menu online yet and its same menu for dinner so either need to adjust portions or price for lunch patrons. Eggplant appetizer was yummy but tiny and $15.

Food is great. We had the 32oz Tuscan Steak and beef Capriccio. Chef Andrea prepared the food the way we requested. Thank you. Will go back soon. Thank you .

Florentine Steak is a huge hit! Amazing taste. Also loved the spaghetti with Roe and Uní was too notch. The lobster could have been better, it was just too heavy with mashed potatoes.

Excellent wine list! I would recommend ordering by the bottle as it’s better value. The management and wait staff are all straight from Italy! The food and wine is authentic Italian.

The place is in “soft opening” phase. They are not seating 2/3 of the available tables. They are having a few
pains that every new restaurant has and seem to be working through them.

Giorgio and Tony (the managers ) are absolutely great!

I would recommend the restaurant. The food was very good, however my complaint the price of wine by the glass!!!!!! Overpriced for the amount poured!!!! They are going to lose a lot of customers unless they correct that. A very cheap pour!!!!!!!

Very overpriced!!!!!!! $14.00 for 1/4 glass of house wine, very meager menu (overpriced) Upon leaving , they asked me what I thought, I told them the price of the wine was very expensive! The reply was they didn't want to serve me a glass of wine that would make me sick!!!!!!!!! REALLY!
