Convivial and inviting, Osteria's heart is its open main kitchen from which its award-winning menu of antipasti, homemade pastas, house-cured salumi, authentic Neapolitan and Roman-style pizzas, wood-grilled meats, seafood and decadent desserts are crafted.

Drawing its inspiration from traditional osterias found in Northern Italy, Osteria is the realization of a dream Vetri Family partners Jeff Benjamin and Chefs Marc Vetri and Jeff Michaud had while standing amongst the grapes of the Ca'Marcanda vineyards in Tuscany.

Since opening in 2007, Osteria has become one of the country's most critically acclaimed Italian restaurants, receiving a 3-out-of-4 bell review from the Philadelphia Inquirer, and earning Chef Michaud the 2010 James Beard Foundation Award for ""Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic"" for his work helming the kitchen."

Service was top notch with beautiful ambiance and the perfect amount of privacy. Our special request for our anniversary was taken into account and even had a nice little surprise for dessert. Food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back soon!

We have been there several times with prior ownership. Since then, service worse and slower, prices higher, weird and minimal dish selection (no salads, only fish option a one lb lobster...), wine still expensive. Pa don't bother with a "tasting option" for wine. Your full glass price even is smaller than ANY restaurant I have been in for the last 6 or 7 years.
Last time I go there or recommend it.

Our reservation was at 9pm, but we were not seated until almost 9.45. The food was okay, but it made my girlfriend feel very sick once we got home. It completely ruined our Valentine’s Day. HIGHLY recommend against this restaurant, and it’s a big shame.

Went here for Valentine’s Day after hearing great things. We were seating in a back room almost directly on top of another table. There were only 3 other couples dining in this room and we were sat so close to another table I could hear everything they were saying, and they were whispering. There were plenty of other tables I assumed were being kept for bigger parties, but while we were dining, two other couples were ushered back and seated at the bigger tables. The apps were ok. We got the octopus and and scallops. Both had good flavor but were served to us cold. Our entree portions were small. Having never been there I didn’t know that we should’ve ordered more courses or sides. It wasn’t awful, I was just expecting more after hearing great things.

Everything we ordered was delicious , I wish there had been cake on the dessert menu but the polenta budino was delicious as well. Service here is exceptional and I really enjoyed being escorted by wait staff to the restroom. All of the staff members were very polite to a lady which made me feel special.

The customer service was amazing. I had left a message to see if they could put out flowers for my wifes birthday..they didn't BUT when I went to pay they brought her a scoop of ice cream with a candle. So I know they took the time to care for my needs which was amazing! I would recommend this place its very delicious and perfect for any occasion.

Great Everything!!! Service (go, Liz; Robert, the valet was terrific, too! Big smile, friendly efficient...)
Fabulous food (skate, pear carpaccio!, incredible light small ravioli that explodes with the bite, perfect prosciutto (nice quantity) and Amazing chicken liver ragu rigatoni...unbelievable
Ambiance reminds us of the spots we love in NY with a casual, alive warmth of decor as well as a very cool vibe!
We’ll be back!

Rest easily - Osteria's alive, well, & still fabulous. Antipasti of roasted porchetta for me & grilled octopus for my wife were wonderful. The porchetta melts in the mouth, with huge flavor & velvety feel. My wife had a lentil dish while I ate squid ink gnudi - amazing black dumplings (wonderfully al dente) with calimari & spicy 'nduja (one of my favorite things ever!) . Then I had a braised shank while my wife enjoyed a fish special. As usual here, we found another wine (fenocchio) new to us, reasonably priced, & excellent. And the staff remain caring, attentive, & top notch professionals. Having come through a season of change to be better than ever, Osteria's looking strong & we're thrilled.
