Food was absolutely fantastic and the service was great. We had a birthday party on March 15th and we were lucky to be able to dine just before all the Philly restaurants closed in response to the Covid19 pandemic. The staff were clearly doing everything they could to clean and sanitize the restaurant.
I'd give a better score for value, except that I am not used to spending so much for wonderful bottles of wine......Food was very good value.
Food is very good. Osteria serves family style. Plates are meant for sharing. That is fine, but bring serving utensils, if this is your format. We had to ask for serving utensils everytime a dish came out. Also, how long does it take to boil water. We ordered tea and we waited, and waited, and waited. I had to ask the waitress where was the tea. After investing in renovations, Osteria should now focus on improving upon the basics of service. I will give Osteria another try. Hopefully yesterday was an off night.
It was our first time and We loved it. We will go back.
After repeated visits, this restaurant continues to deliver quality meals via great service. Highly recommend it.
Always enjoy our meals at Osteria. The food is exquisite, and the ambiance is wonderful.
Great service and food. Everything was great from beginning to end.
Love the separate vegetarian & vegan menu. Like the new layout & the always amazing food.
Important to be careful about where you will be sitting within this restaurant. There appear to be 3 main areas. One of them, in the front, adjacent to the bar and kitchen, is loud and cramped, with a view of waitstaff making drinks and coffee. It's not a place you can really enjoy a nice evening out. If you are just dropping in fro some pizza and a glass of wine, sure. I'll ask directly about being seated in other dining areas if we go back.
The food was too salty and they did not changed my plates...
Always great. Pretheater menu was quick once we were seated. Food is outstanding and consistent
Tony was amazing. The food was fantastic. Thanks to the entire staff.
Our dinner here was outstanding. One incredible dish after another. Can’t wait to return.
Great place, great space, there was a wait, with a reservation, but all were polite, professional and accomodating.
Food was outstanding! Despite it being very busy when we went, the service was quick and friendly. Will definitely go back
This is such an amazing and vibrant place. Excellent food and if you are lucky enough to be there for happy hour, it's a real deal! Food was soooooo good and nothing disappointed us. Burrata, mussels and the pasta was delicious. It made our trip to Philadelphia even more memorable!
The pasta with chicken livers is divine. Busy place but still felt like I was important.
Visiting from out of town we sat at the bar. We had pizza, pasta, and potatoes side.
Pizza was good but we ended up eating it cold because pasta and the side landed right after we started enjoying it.
Well it is nice to be rushed once in a while.
No coffee or sweets were offered. Cant review them. Sorry.
Hope yall enjoy the winter.
Osteria never fails to impress. Inventive menu, wonderful ambiance, great place for special occasions.
Waited to be seated 15 minutes after reservation time, which was okay but then waited another 20 to order drinks once we were seated. Bar area was too crowded to get a drink while we waited.
Food was good but one entree came out cold and one was 5 minutes after the others due to ‘communication issue’ in kitchen.
A few meals were very good and the dining area is very nice. Overall disappointing if you think this is a top Philly restaurant.
Always have a great time!
awesome! definitely coming back!
Only if they get a table in the main room when it is quiet.
Fantastic meal. From start to finish everything was perfect. Had a short wait at the bar before being seated. Atmosphere at bar was lively, bartenders friendly, drinks were great, and got us off on the right foot. A few minutes after we were taken to our table a little room with maybe 12 tables, it felt intimate but not stuffy and they decor was hip without being too cool for school. We shared 4 or 5 dishes and each was homerun! Can't wait to go back.
AMAZING!! the atmosphere and the FOOD! We sat in the back wine room and it was perfect for our Valentine’s date night!
Service was amazing. Spilled a drink in the food. Service immediately got us a new one and new meal free of charge. They were also very knowledgeable and recommendations were great!
The food was great. The waiters were very good and knowledgeable. The food took some time to arrive at our table.
My overall experience was great except the fact that I had to wait half an hour to be seated When I had at 10:30 reservation but overall it was a wonderful experience there
It was a little loud but it was great experience!
Food was phenomenal as usual and the ambiance is amazing. However, we had a decent amount of food we asked to have packaged up but once our waiter took it away we waited about 20 minutes and never received it nor could it be located. Hopefully next time this issue can be avoided since we had about two full plates of food we wanted to take home. Otherwise the night was great.
Ambiance was great, food was hot, service was fast and pleasant.
I don’t generally think it’s fair to review a restaurant on Valentine’s Day. The service and food were still excellent on such a busy evening!
The staff and food were amazing. I thought the tables were too close to each otger. We were trying to celebrate Valentine’s but the woman seated next to us smelled so bad. Other than that, the night was perfect.
the food and atmosphere was top notch and made a great start to a valentines night that included a Boyz 2 Men concert at the Met.
We opted for the tasting menu. Great value and price! Plenty of food and lots of options. Very happy with the potion size, quality, and flavor.
I was hesitant to write this but I have to register how disappointing I was with osteria. The food is amazing and our waiter was very knowledgeable which made our experience great. However, my husband and I specifically said we were not too hungry and asked if we could share the $58 tasting menu. Our waiter said it was fine since it is served family style. My husband even asked if the waiter thought it would be enough for the both of us and that we would order more food after if we needed after. The waiter said it would be enough food. When we ordered the check, we were surprised to see they charged $58 x 2 for the tasting menu. We asked the waiter and he said they “adjusted” the amount of food since there were 2 of us and apologized for the miscommunication. My husband and I were there in November and ordered some of the food from the tasting menu and it was the same amount of food. No way they “adjusted” the amount of food this time. We didn’t want to ruin our experience and paid the amount charged. But, we were very disappointed, especially since we had asked before. We will not be coming back.
Great dinner to celebrate my son’s 20th birthday. The pasta dishes and charcuterie plates are deliciously fresh
We had a party of 8 with a reservation. Restaurant was very crowded and after 45 min we were still not seated. After speaking with the hostess’ about our frustration, they offered us the back room in the kitchen as our table was still not ready. We had a fabulous dinner! The food and service once we got to our room was fantastic! We think the night ended up better since we got our own room!!! As for noise we didn’t have Any but the main restaurant was rather noisy. We will definitely go again! They did the right thing in the end and we had a memorable night! Be sure to order the Parma pizza and burrata!!
Had a great dinner with our daughter who goes to Penn and her boyfriend! Everyone enjoyed all the items we shared.
