Great food and excellent service as always.
Thanks for your excellent service annalisa
wonderful food with several vegetarian/vegan options. when the wrong dish was served to me, it was quickly replaced and we were treated to dessert for the inconvenience.
From the moment we arrived we were taken care of. The hostess was kind and happy, the waiter was attentive and quick and the food was primo. Highly recommended for the homemade pasta and sauces. I had the lobster ravioli and tried the sea bass. Both prepared and cooked to order.
This was amazing Italian food! I had the tuna and lobster mashed potatoes. Hands down the best tuna I have ever had. The wait staff was very attentive but not over bearing.
Just OK. Caesar salad and large steak which had far too much fat.
The food and service is always excellent. We try to have at least one meal here every time we’re in San Diego.
The waiters and waitress always remember us, so it’s like family when we go back. Very friendly, very accommodating with authentic Italian food dishes. Presentation is always top notch! This is a "must go to" for all our family gatherings and celebrations! Awesome, awesome, awesome! Don't miss this beautiful Italian restaurant.
Outstanding selections, great location. Loved it.
It was a wonderful meal and the service was excellent!
We had a lovely evening. We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu, bruchetta, sea bass, limonchello cake and tiramisu. The bruchetta was good but the portion was very large. Not a fault , but I couldn't eas it all. The sea bass with lobster bisque and risotto was fantastic. Totally cleaned the plate. The desserts were tasty as well. We did the wine paring and it was wonderful. Lovely wines and a limonchello at the end. Great service, wonderful atmosphere, all around great time.
Tried Osteria Panevino before a Broadway performance. Our waitress was very nice and worked with us to get our order in without having to rush to make our show. The food was good, not great. My chicken parm was a little dry but my salad with greens, pears, corn and a very good blood orange vinegarette dressing was delicious. My husband tried the mushroom risotto and while he said it wasn't as good as mine (!!!!), he did like it. Our friends both had the fish special and were happy with it. A nice to place to go if you are walking up Fifth towards the Civic Center! Prices were reasonable and the corkage fee - yes, we always take our own bottle of wine - was only $15. Worth it in the long run!
Excellent service and yummy food. Will come back soon.
Osteria is by far the best Italian Restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at (twice). Homemade pasta...the Lobster Ravioli was to die for... great selection of wine and authentic Italian servers.
Just picked a restaurant from
Google for best Italian in gas lamp district and this is what came up. Food was so very very good and the servers were all so friendly dry and helpful. We loved the food and would definitely return!
Had my fav wine and the gluten free pasta was awesome!
Every time I am in San Diego I go to this restaurant. Everything is simply delicious
Someone at the restaurant called me while I was dining inside the restaurant to ask if I was still coming for my reservation. I replied that I had already checked in for my reservation 20 minutes ago and was seated 20 minutes ago. Service was unfriendly. Noise level was unbearable. It was so crowded that people kept bumping into me trying to get past my table. Not a good experience at all.
Just very good food with excellent service
Unusual to find an Italian Reataurant with good Gluten Free pasta. The gluten free penne pasta was incredible! The waiters were very attentive and the portion sizes are huge!
This is one of our first choices for San Diego restaurants in Little Italy for authentic Italian food each year when visiting. The service is excellent and accommodated our large group easily. We plan to return again next year!
