Love Mozza. Our go-to’s are the Octopus, Garganelli, Orata, Tagliata, but you really can’t go wrong. Oh and the strawberry crespelle (when in season). We’ve been going for years. The food is so consistent. The service is always spot on. The sommelier Rachel is wonderful at pairing the best wines with your meal.

Almost everything was great. Food A+ Drinks A+ But, we had to take a late reservation, due to it being Saturday night. Wanted special dinner place for 4 and one had a Birthday. Because we arrived early, we waited for our "time" then after our reservation time came and went we still waited 25 mintues to be seated. This brought us to about 9:40 pm, and though our server was VERY nice, she was tired. The wait staff seemed to be a bit done. We ordered drinks but not all at the same time because she had to go do something before just waiting for one order, then we didn't get to toast the birthday boy for over 1/2 an hour. our food also took so long to come, we had TWO delicious courses, but when that was done it was 11:15!! The birthday boy had to leave at that time to go elsewhere that he'd planned, and couldn't wait for the candle/dessert portion of the dinner. The Birthday elements got lost in the mix. She asked about the Birthday situation after he left. Very sad, poor planning on their part.

Arrived a little early so we hung out by the bar. The drinks are very well-made. Once our entire party arrived, they seated us fairly quickly. The wine expert was very attentive to our flavor preferences and price range. The food was delicious and very filling - so be prepared to get hit with a serious case of food coma that'll stay with you till the morning.

This was our first visit after a few years. For the most part, our meal was delicious. Our table of four shared the burrata and then each had our own pasta. The bolognese was divine, as was the ricotta and egg raviolo. The caci di pepe was extremely salty and the spaghetti with bottarga was not nearly as good as the one at LaCiccia in SF. We shared two entrees...the rabbit con salciccia was amazing, the sea bass (?) with cumin (cannot remember the exact name) was overpowered by the spices. The rosemary olive oil cakes were delicious. Wine list is exhaustive (exhausting?) and quite expensive. Since we had already enjoyed cocktails, we opted for lower-priced Bastianich, which was quite good.

The food was outstanding. The sommelier was extremely knowledgable and helpful. Unfortunately the service was really lacking in personality and depth. Our waiter greeted us by asking what type of water we wanted. He returned to ask if we had any questions about the menu. He never introduced himself and never told us anything about the menu unless we asked specific questions. From the time we sat it took 35 minutes to get our bottle of wine. Our appetizer arrived before the wine. For us the service plays a big part of the experience. This service was a big disappointment no matter how good the food.

It was lovely and the service was wonderful but the food was very salty. For dessert we ordered gelato and the fruit that came with it was served warm. For us it would have been better left out or served cold.

Excellent experience from start to finish. We sat in the back room, which was much quieter than the main hall. Our waitress was knowledgeable, funny and spot on with her recommendations. The burrata and peas was truly outstanding, as was the orreciette with sausage. My son loved the duck , which was sublimely done. Can’t wait to go back.

Seated 15 minutes past the reservation time. And we arrived 15 minutes early. 30 minutes waiting for the table (luckily we drink, so we waited at the crowded bar). Very loud inside... difficult to hold a conversation without yelling across the table. Food was a 3.5/5. Drinks were great! Service was good.

We were very excited to visit Osteria Mozza, especially after watching the Chef's Table episode featuring Nancy Silverton the creator. My fiance and I came on our 8th dating anniversary and also celebrating our last date night as an unmarried couple. I had been given a gift card, so we took advantage of that and went all out with ordering many different things. Every bite of food we took was outstanding. The flavors were all so intense and just fantastic. Our waitress was really great, she was so knowledgable about everything, helped us make food and drink decisions, and was very positive. I really enjoyed that a server offered us a slice of bread (3 different types to choose from) with some olive oil. As apposed to some places that put a whole basket in front of you and you're full before dinner arrives. (And obviously, the bread was heavenly.) We were also brought a little sample from the mozzarella bar, which was delicious. Very sweetly, they brought us a scoop of ice cream with a candle in it for our anniversary. One piece of advice I would give, is we were told some of the dishes were more like a tapas and good to order multiple. However, I thought the portions were more generous than I expected and would have ordered at least one less item. A really nice thing that they do, is if you order items to share, they will be served to you already divided and on your own plate. And if you feel yourself getting full, they will box things up for you as you go and give you a little card with a number to pick up your to-go boxes on the way out so they aren't sitting on your table. It's clear that a lot of thought went into every aspect of the service and your experience in this restaurant. I would highly recommend and will definitely go back again!

Beautiful meal in fantastic surroundings. Booked a table for our holiday in LA after learning about the restaurant. The food, service and venue did not disappoint. We were given a nice corner booth with our 21 month old daughter and were treated to top class service ( hugs and kisses for our server from our daughter) and a beautiful authentic Italian meal.... as my husband is Italian this is high praise!

All together a great experience, we started with the Burrata and Caviar, then the Grilled Octopus, Pappardelle with Rabbit Ragu, my favorite dish of the night was the Ricotta Cavatelli with English Peas, preserves lemon and green garlic, the Rib Eye Cap with morel mushrooms and Pea Tendrils, Fried Rosemary Potatoes and then finished with the Cioccolato and Twice Baked Almond Cornetto. Everything was perfectly seasoned and exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent and I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

We ate at the Mozza's pizza outlet next door and enjoyed it very much. So we had high expectations about Osteria. However the taste of the food was just average, and every dish was very salty. Only the duck tasted good even though it was also salty. The dishes at Mozza's pizza outlet was far better.

Food is oustanding; authentic italian from chefs that understand how food should look and taste. Had spaghetti with botarga and the optional spoon of caviar on top; so good that you do not want it to be finished. This is a dish hard to find somewhere else. the Duck al Matone is also an original preoaration: lightly breaded and pan fried but it does not feel heavy, served with two sauces. A delight. After dinning at Osteria Mozza, you want to comeback to try other offerings in the menu. Sommelier is very helpful so you get thw type of wine that you like in the price range in accordance with the ocasion. Il cornetto with mandorla, bloody d orahge and gelatto is a perfect finsh. I would suggest that you close the experience with one amaro Nonino for a dinner to remember. Service is of course, up to the high quality of Osteria Mozza. Its reputation is well earned. Make an effort, get a reservation well in advance and go.

Delicious meal, and excellent service. We started with the octopus appetizer, which was tender and flavorful. I had the black squid ink pasta with Dungeness crab, and it was excellent. My husband ordered the duck, and we both thought it was perfectly cooked. Our wine was the Merlot blend, and we had a second glass, we liked it so much. We finished up the meal with the apple tart pastry. We were particularly impressed with how perfectly cooked both the octopus and the duck were. Whenever we order these items in other restaurants, they are sometimes over cooked and rubbery, but not at Osteria. Our only complaint — and it created a frustrating beginning to the evening — was the parking situation. The choices at this restaurant are to (a) drive around for 20-30 mins. until you are lucky enough to find street parking, or (b) pay for valet parking, which we felt was steep. We chose option A, and arrived at the restaurant late, and angry. Obviously, the restaurant can’t change its location, but there should be ample and frequent reminders on its web site to arrive early, as patrons choosing not to use the valet option will have a tough time parking their car. Honestly, were it not for the outstanding meal, the parking situation alone would deter me from ever returning to this restaurant again. We were visiting from out of town, and had not anticipated this much of a problem. Maybe to locals this is normal, but for those who don’t live in L.A., it is not. A “heads up” would have been appreciated.
