The tagliatelle with oxtail was exceptional , the duck was superb and tender , the skin was crispy but a tad salty
There is potential for this restaurant to be stuffy and arrogant, but it isn't. The staff and dishes are down to earth, fun, and full of heart. It's expensive, so save up so you can really have fun with the menu. It's worth every penny!
Food was great
Bar service was excellent
Host and hostess- not friendly and not pleasant!
Amazing all the way around!
Easily one of the best restaurants in the city of LA. The pasta was outstanding, especially the Orechiette (one of the best past dishes in town!). Wine was disproportionately expensive ($28 for a decent glass of their Chardonnay/SB blend?), with the Burricota and Walnut crostini also excellent. Service impeccable, ambiance elegant and not too loud.
Food amazing as always with the pasta leading the way. Pasta with prawns kills and tortellini with butternut squash delicious. Quail and burrata crostini with artichoke yummy.
Great wine, lovely atmosphere- never disappoints
Great place to go to dinner. Food was good and the waiter really helped out with the wine selection.
Outstanding place to eat. Worth it considering all the rave reviews and lived up to the expectations. All items were top notch. Can’t wait to try the pizzeria
Knowing this would be a pricey meal, I came into it with high expectations.
The ambiance is light, not stuffy, little on the more noisy (but not bad) side.
Staff was courteous, attentive but not obsessive and knowledgeable.
The first course honestly was incredible. What they have done with mozz and it’s related cousins is amazing. Delicious, savory, unique. I could have stopped here and you might want to strongly consider just ordering from this section of the menu alone. It’s worth it.
Pasta and meat/fish course were very good, but dwarfed in creativity and flavor, by round one. Also the pasta portions, at their price point, could have used just a little more.
Cocktails and wine were very good and appropriately varied.
I don’t rate individual dishes, sorry. I like to see a location from 30,000 and give an overall recommendation.
8.8/10 rating, strongly recommend.
Food and service were great. The ambiance and staff were a great combination.
We love Osteria Mozza. Service and food are consistently great. We'll be back.
Interesting dishes.......lots of burrata and mozzarella apps, pastas were all very good......and our server was great.
We love Mozza. We are never disappointed in the service and food. Our 9 year old daughter loves Mozza. We have been taking her there since she was 3 years old.
Best Italian food in LA!
Outstanding on every level!
The mozzarella tasting was the best mozzarella we have had! Pasta was flavorful and our waitress give us some wine tastings to see which wines we preferred with our food. The bombolinis were light and airy yet delicately sweet and went perfectly with the vanilla gelato and huckleberry compote. The food was amazing and lived up to its appearance on chefs table!
Excellent service ,ambiance great place
Great Valentines Day date. Great place to eat anytime! Been going for years and always consistently excellent!
Excellent! The food was amazing and the ambiance was nice. Great drinks at the bar - try the Gordon’s cup.
The dishes are good for sharing, so we got a few to try. Some of our favorites:
Crispy duck confit
Definitely going back!
Love this place in every way. You’re treated like a star even when not and there’s plenty there. The food is absolutely the best and the sauce this time was just like my Italian Gramdmas perfection. The Bread of course is the best but the olive oil to dip is transcendent!
We had the Caesar salad that is unique and delicious and i had the Orreciette with Swiss chard and sausage which was so flavorful and soothing and wonderful.
Did early valentines and was romantic even though bustling. Can’t wait to go again.
Food was delicious! From the complimentary bread to the main dishes and dessert. Server was helpful and restaurant was very nice.
Service and food has gone downhill. Waiter never acknowledged my wife’s birthday. Lamb shank was not cooked enough and very chewy. We have been at the restaurant several times but now we will go elsewhere.
8 years ago I was blown away - but taking my fiance for her birthday Monday night, I was really let down. Service was moderate, guy didnt seem to want to be there for the most part. Bread was overly drenched in olive oil, like wayyy too much. Nancy's Ceasar was the best thing we had, and the coconut ice cream. Pasta's were bland or overly dressed, Short Rib was overcooked... just an off night maybe? I LOVE Nancy and Joe... but man this was a bummer. Especially with Pizzeria Mozza and Chi Spacca being so incredible.
The food was great....except they really missed it big time on the Linguine Aglio Olio with Shrimp. Watery and just incredibly disappointing dish - especially at $32. Would not expect this from Nancy Silverton, considering this restaurant has a Michelin Star. Price definitely not worth it. Sorry.
Amazing food. Expensive but worth it.
Hostess: I have to seat the 9:15 reservations first.
We really didn’t care what she has to do first. It’s not welcoming to say that. Sounded snobbish. Also another hostess didn’t care to say goodbye on the way out after spending $200 for 2
They come across as a snob! It’s too bad bc the servers and food are great.
We are from Washington State so this was our first time at Osteria Mozza. What an amazing experience!!
We will be back.
It was my birthday, and the food came out so late at every turn. I complained and they made me fill out a card for the manger to call me and he never did. Very disappointed because I chose this as my restaurant for a birthday celebration.
Our first visit. Food is fantastic, Our waiter, Sean, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
An astonishingly great meal from start to finish. The back room that also functions as a wine library is elegant and a bit less noisy and crowded, if that's what you're looking for. I also love to sit in the middle of the action at the mozzarella bar. Of particular note was the lamb shank and winter vegetable puree. I'll dream about that dish for years to come. The wine service was spectacular, helpful, and very pleasant. Our waiter is a very nice person and with some coaching and training could improve. His personal style did not match the elegance of the restaurant and stood out compared to other staff we interacted with.
It was good dining experience with family. The ambiance was good and the food was delicious. Little pricey but good to come if you have special occasion.
For the price point and hype around this spot, the service was pretentious (borderline rude)...food was solid/good, but I don’t think warrants another trip back.
Osteria Mozza remains one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Expensive, yes. But unlike many of the overpriced LA restaurants, it is worth the expense and worth the visit. Food is always special, staff attentive but not claustrophobic, ambiance lovely.
+ Grilled octopus and bambolini desert were impressive.
+/- Seafood Linguine was very good but a bit too spicy for me.
- Our clothes and hair smelled very strongly of deep-fried oil after the dinner
- We were celebrating my wife's birthday and didn't get any compliment (small dessert etc.) from the chef on this event
Another amazing experience at Osteria Mozza! They have the absolute best food - the pasta is top-notch! And the service is always stellar! I keep going back again and again and I'm never disappointed!
Grest dining experience on all levels from the time we walked in until we left !
Such a wonderful dinner. All of the courses were perfect size to share. Thank you!
Osteria Mozza never disappoints. It is a bit pricey, but one never feels like he/she has overpaid for the experience. The food is of extremely good quality and perfectly prepared, the noise level quiet enough so diners can enjoy a conversation, the decor is elegant, yet fun and lively, and the staff are extremely attentive, yet not overly so. The restaurant has maintained its quality over the years, and still offers some dishes that one doesn't find anywhere else, such as Nancy's Caesar.
Great experience. Food and drinks were fantastic and the place was perfect
