Hostess seated us in the back room, separate from the main room and ambiance. Very annoying that they do this without prior warning or advice. Those rooms which serve as private party spaces are s terrible experience when used as regular seating. It really makes for a totally different experience.

The whole experience was excellent. Food and service we're great. The tagliatelle was the highlight for us. We also loved that they offered 250ml caraffe wine pours.

Our waiter kept saying, “unlike dining in an American Italian restaurant...” every time we have a question about the menu. We found that a little obnoxious.
The highlight of our dining experience was Nancy Silverton graciously granting our request for a photo op. She was very friendly and authentic.

I've eaten at both Pizzeria Mozza's and Carnevino and B&B Ristorante but never the LA Osteria. Very surprised by the service and somewhat plain manner of everything. Waited exactly 32 minutes for a cocktail and glass of wine. The glass they put down for my girlfriend had been previously used as it smelled of alcohol and had moisture still in it. Our server apologized profusely for the bar wait and the glass mistake.

A Great way to experience the menu is to just do the tasting menu. Although I wished the burrata was on there!

I’m going to be positive about the restaurant. As I work in the industry as well so I know what it’s like behind the scenes from the dining room.
Ambiance and overall service was a bit loud, but also it was a busy night and it wasn’t hard to maintain a conversation between my fiancé and I. Food was good, i heard a lot of bad experiences from colleagues of mine and it was decent as well as price. In my case $150 got both our bellies full enough to be satisfied and for a 2 top, that is fair. I’m going to come back and try different dishes, it is a good restaurant to come to. It’s like that “once a month” type restaurant. Has a “young” type vibe, but also the menu seems like a classic menu. Overall, i was impressed and made our 1 year anniversary memorable.

Food and ambiance was great. Service was a little slow. We had a reservation but after we checked in, we had to wait at the bar area for 10-15 mins for our table to get ready. Another 8-10 mins for our waitress to come up. A little bit more for bread

Was my second time, and my business associates first time. I’m from NYC and Peasant is my favorite Italian restaurant, Osteria Mozza is my #1 in LA, #2 overall. My business associates are from Miami and they were blown away by the food. We compliment the amazing service and attentiveness as well. One of the best places around!

I came here last weekend with a group of friends and colleagues after an event. I have to say I was a bit disappointed this time around. While our server was very helpful and warm, I felt the sommelier was impatient and guided us toward overly expensive wines. Three of us ordered the cacio e pepe and it was unbearably peppery. So much so that no one could finish theirs. I had a taste of the other dishes and felt they were just ok. Nothing too memorable. Overall, I still love the ambiance of OM, and this certainly could’ve just been an off night, but I’m disappointed that the meal wasn’t as great as I’ve had in the past. Unfortunately I think newer restaurants are surpassing OM in quality and innovation.

Our waiter was terrible. We asked if there were any specials or recommendations he said it’s all right there. What is a nice wine you recommend? It’s in the menu. It took an hour for someone to offer bread, 2 cocktails in. Then our appetizer arrived. The guys from the kitchen were nice and said I don’t know what’s taking so long we’ll try to get it out to you. I flagged down the waiter to get my guest another glass of wine. He made no offer to get myself or the other guests something else to drink with dinner. We usually switch to wine with dinner but no such luck. He was a rude and smug. I’ve honestly never experienced such terrible service. From one of the supposed best Italian restaurants in LA you expect as least a basic level of decent service.

Sat in the back room thankfully because the front was really loud. Service was professional but indifferent. Appetizers were good but the octopus was not nearly as good as I remember from my last visit. All of our pasta entrees was excessively salty. No acknowledgement of my birthday. This used to be one of my favorite spots but I doubt that I will be back again.

Exceptional service and knowledgeable staff lead the way to a fun menu to explore (cheeses, pastas and mains). Very impressive Italian focused wine list and celebrity sightings throughout the evening. This is a special occasion restaurant.

Had a great experience at Mozza, everything was full of flavor and the sommelier was helpful in picking out a good region of wines for our goal of a light red wine. If you like Italian food, this place is something special and will not disappoint. Is it expensive? Yes, but it's not anything crazy. You can expect to pay $50+ for a wine and probably $75 per person with tip maybe a bit more. The menu offers a few different ways of dining, you can share pastas and primi or you can share a primi and get your own main dish. Tip: if you bring a bottle of wine, you can avoid corkage fees by buying another bottle at the restaurant.

On my bucket list to eat here and we went for my 50th birthday. The waiter was awful and made mistake after mistake. I was accompanied by people in the restaurant business who were appalled by the waiter's level of disinterest and incompetence. Instead of owning his mistakes, he lied and BS'd his way through the entire dinner. He knew it was my 50th birthday because he asked "jokingly" to see my driver's license. I showed it to him and it did not help one bit. He was by far the WORST waiter I have ever had in a restaurant of this caliber. To top it off, he was arrogant. He spoiled what should have been a wonderful evening. The somm was amazing. The food was in large part unforgettable. But that waiter ruined the experience.

Everything was incredible. I have thing about going into a restaurant and coming out smelling like it . The exhaust fans need to be upgraded or who knows. Our hair and clothes smelled . I will go back but that should be looked at , for the hot spot that it is. It shouldn’t have that happening.
