One of the best things about visiting this restaurant for dinner is that you can park your car on the street after 6pm. The place has a nice bar and it might be nice for a quick bite if you are in the area. The servers were nice but slow in taking and delivering drink orders and the bread needed to be requested. My companion and I shared a terrific salad which was very crisp lettuce with Parmesan and a delicious dressing. I thought the pastas were just OK, smallish and overpriced. I think $114 is a little steep for one shared salad, two pastas and 2 proseccos. All in all, it was a fine dinner but I wouldn't run back.
Best pasta in Manhattan hands down!
I've always been a fan of Osteria Morini. I have taken and recommended it to my relatives and friends from Rome and Venezia often and they enjoyed it very much. This last time however I noticed that the menu has shrunk and there are very few alternatives especially if you don't eat pork or shellfish. I will definitely give it another try and in the next few weeks. I let my very nice waitress know about it.
Food amazing! Service was slow. Waiter served other tables before us. They did apologize at the end (maybe manager noticed?) Would definitely go again!!!
Osteria Morini has always been one of my favorite spots in the city. Good food and wine, impeccable service, for special get-togethers, casual dates and family dinners. Many memories here and I hope they stay as one of the gems in this great city!
We have been eating here for a number of years now...Michael White's wonderful pasta still ROCKS! In fact, the whole team and environment are great...all servers are top-notch, the vibe is kinetic and chill at the same time, the beverages are reasonable and wonderful, and the food is extremely tasty. The manage, Phillip, is a superstar...say 'hello' to him, and he might do something really nice for you. Enjoy...saluti!
This is one of our favorite go to restaurants in NYC. Love the food, wine and scene there!
Food and service top notch, as always. Love this place!!
As good as ever. Great food , great service and very comfortable NY ambiance.
Good food and good lunch prices. Can’t ask for more than that.
We've been to Italy 8x and always complain about the imitation of USA making Italian food but this was 'spot on'. Not overloaded in sauce, fabulous pasta, delicious how the grill Italian bread. The next day we were doing tourist stuff, sat next to New Yorker lady next to us and in conversation spoke about this restaurant and she totally agreed the best! Quaint, wonderful and when we come back, we will be there again! Ciao Bella!
One of chef Michael White's best efforts. It's not pretentious like his Marea and Ai Fiori, and it's more accomplished than his Ristorante Morini uptown. The Italian food is excellent. Osteria Morini, in my opinion, is among the top trattorias in town.
Excellent service!! Delicious food.
Fantastic meal, all around!
Way TOO noisy!!!!
great food. i mean, really great!
Sunday brunch for my mom's birthday after a spa treatment at Bliss. Mimosas and bloody mary's were amazing. Mezzaluna and mushroom ragu pasta dishes were outstanding (although a bit salty for me) and the juicy burger was cooked to perfection. Totally different vibe from the dinner scene - still great food and service.
Manager Philip Buttacavoli keps his crack staff hopping as they deliver delicious food, creatively prepared. Casual in a just-right kind of way. Definitely going back!
Waitress overcharged us and didn’t even know until later since wife paid. She really didn’t care. Barely even wanted us there. Pretty disappointed because I was excited. First bad review.
We were rushed as soon as we checked in for our reservation.
Food was good, 2 of the pasta dishes were salty and one of the pastas was too much al dente for my liking. Still excellent pasta
The pasta is simply wonderful and is reminiscent of trattorie in Emilia Romagna. Appetizers, bread, dessert were all really really good. The wine list had some true gems, for example a red wine from Liguria that was delicious and one I have never seen in the USA! The focaccia was excellent and cocktails are relatively reasonable in price. It was our second visit and won't be the last.
Everything was amazing. My boyfriend and I loved it, was the perfect end to our trip to the city!
The best, freshest pasta dishes. Branzino was excellent. Wines by the glass were great. Friendly, helpful staff!
Osteria Morini is a gem in NYC. Its cuisine is prepared with great care. Perfect every time. The staff are more than accommodating. They give everyone that 5 star attention. It feels like Sunday dinner at Nonna's .If you have not tried you are missing something special.
The Raviolo was excellent! Yolk and butter, what else do you need?!?!
Always a guaranteed home run. I love this place!
Every trip here is fantastic. Everything we have had is great!
Morini is a generous & food-loving place. Thank you again for another wonderful meal.
We've been to Osteria Morini a number of times and we loved it....until this last time. Our favorite duck liver mousse was moved from the charcuterie section into an appetizer section. When asked if we can have it as part of the charcuterie, the answer was no. It comes on a piece of toast now. When asked if we can have it without the toast, the answer was no. This is how it comes now. Period. No discussion. The pasta we ordered was very mediocre - Fusili with pork short ribs. Scallops were very good. Dessert Bodino nice but the selection of desserts used to be much better. Overall, 3 out of 5. Will not be returning anytime soon. Disappointed.
Great meal at a great restaurant. Have dined at their location in Bernardsville, NJ several times, as well as a special meal at Marea two years ago. All of the AltaMarea group restaurants are superb , excellent food and service . Well done !
Excellent food and service! Cozy atmosphere. This will become my go-to for Italian in the neighborhood for sure.
We love Osteria Morini. We went to enjoy their $12 pastas for an early Valentine's Day celebration. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We didn't love dessert, but probably should have just used the additional tummy space for more of the mind blowing pasta. Absolutely incredible overall.
Perfecto como siempre que vamos!!!!👍🏼😊😊
A very nice place, my niece was in from Seattle and she was staying in the SOHO area so we decided to eat there. No complaints at all.
The pasta is divine! One of the best in NYC! Cooked with perfection, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is very original and with a lot of character. It is an absolute must go for italian-food lovers.
I did not enjoy the food, but the service was impeccable! Worth trying again to see if it was just poor selections on my part.
Very slow service on a Friday night. Waited 10 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation and there were empty tables. Food was good but I expected much better.
The staff is exceptional
