Osteria Morini DC
Osteria Morini pays homage to the casual and rustic cuisine and ambiance of the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy. Osteria Morini is a casual Italian restaurant from Chef Michael White. In Italian, “osteria” means a place where the owner “hosts” guests, and at Osteria Morini, Chef White continues this tradition of hospitality, transforming his first Washington, D.C. restaurant into an authentic, old-world osteria with soulful food from the Emilia-Romagna region of Northern Italy.

Our food was delicious, great wine, and service fro. Maya is always outstanding. The manager Milad went out of his way to make our night special. This is an excellent team!
The squid ink pasta melted in my mouth... delicious. Our server was terrific. We didn’t order dessert, but we were delighted when he presented us with an excellent small chocolate mouse with ice cream which was perfect for the three of us. Glad I noted on the reservation that it was a birthday celebration.
Tried out the Restaurant week lunch menu and the food was delicious! The portion size was big enough and the quality of all the dishes was excellent. Will definitely visit this restaurant again!
DC Restuarant Week menu was perfect. Great choices. I chose the fish entree, which was delicious. We split the two desserts and liked both of them. Eating outdoors is great for the view of the river and people-watching.
This is my second time to Morini and my experience was consist with the prior evening. The branzino was delicious and the service was five star. Even my water was refilled regularly.
This restaurant consistently comes through with great flavors and excellent service. A wonderful place to celebrate a major birthday.
I've been here three times now, had a different dish each time, and thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've had. The pasta is made in-house and is absolutely delicious. Nothing has disappointed yet. The cocktails and wine list are reasonably priced and have a great variety.
The ambiance is the only good thing I can say about this place. Food was a little overpriced. Don’t waste your time celebrating a special occasion here either. Management was not cordial and didn’t bother to offer anything complimentary, except the $6 per person cake cutting fee and expensive wine bottle recommendations. Sometimes little things can go a long way and they can’t be bothered here.
Desserts were my favorite part of the meal. Entrees were over priced
Service was very poor almost like they couldn’t be bothered. Food was average at best and extremely salty. Many better restaurants in the area than this
Referred by friend. Really great food and well managed.
Nice dinner on the riverfront, servers were attentive and friendly, and the food & drinks were delicious!
Would not recommend for brunch. Mediocre food; overpriced; weird substance found in maple syrup.
We had a great dinner. The food was very good and the service great
We loved our table near the window.
We will come back soon.
Incredible capelleti pasta! I loved truffles and it was delicious!
It is a nice restaurant in a great location. Service and food quality was good. we ordered the mimosa and it was in a stemless wine glass instead of a champagne glass. It was not a good presentation as mimosa filled up only 1/3 of the glass and felt like being overcharged for it.
Been here twice now and I love their food and the atmosphere! Great for kids too
The perfect night of concert going started with dinner. The food was outstanding. No wait with Open Table reservation and we had excellent service.
Consistently awesome food, perfect service, and wonderful ambiance. Portions were a bit small for the price on both of my recent visits. However, the food is so good.
Server spent most of her time at the hostess stand.
Always excellent. Mushrooms were my absolute favorite.
Wait staff was friendly knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant. Made recommendations on shareable starters and excellent recommendations on cocktails and wine. Food was excellent and well presented. Desert was amazing... over all a great meal and experience.. Was our 3rd or 4th time back.
This was my first time. Overall I though it was very good. One of the better Cesar salads I have had along with an excellent fish dish. Bread was excellent as well. I would go back.
An outstanding staff all around form the front desk to the servers, gracious and accommodating. The food was excellent: entrees Branzini, veal chop and squid ink pasta. The charcuterie, cheese and bread delicious.
Wonderful food and great service!
Always an excellent dining experience! We enjoy fine dining before/after Nats Baseball.
What a treat this dinner was! We had Maya as a server, who was phenomenal and made perfect recommendations. We loved every dish, but the Cappalletti was our favorite. We will definitely be back!
OMG.. THE PASTA IS AMAZING..
Fabulous meal and service at brunch
The restaurant is in a beautiful setting facing the Anacostia river and is a stroll from the the ballpark. Great atmosphere in a modern setting. Food was very good and the service was attentive and frienfly. Great spot for happy hour/alfresco dining in exciting SE DC.
I had a party of six, ages 11 up to 55. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers, salads, entrees and dessert. I've eaten Italian all my life and this was excellent.
Amazing service, amazing food, amazing experience!!
Wait staff and manager were extremely kind and patient as I waited for my date partner to join me. She had never been to the area and got off the metro st the wrong stop. I was clueless to where she was and the talked to her directly and provided directions
Although I get fish 90% of the time when I eat out the waitress mentioned the pasta and boy and I ever grate she did. My partner and I split the fish and the pasta. The pasta was to die for. I could have eaten the entire bowl.
We agreed we want to return.
Everything was amazing from the moment we walked through the door. They helped store our luggage (we ate before heading to the airport), the dining Ware was simple and beautiful. The food was delicious - I am so thankful for the lunch menu special! It was more than enough food! My coworker and I came on a recommendation from another coworker and it was spot on. It’s a definite must eat place if you’re in DC!
I love the NYC one. Been there tons of times. Best brunch in Manhattan. This one, which this was my second trip, is beautiful and welcoming. However, the food is just not as good as the NYC one. Salty and marginal. On the bright side, the service is wonderful. Loved our waiter. Fix the food.
Awesome spot on the water. Make sure to ask for a table on the patio!
The quality of Osteria Morini’s food has diminished significantly since last eating there a year ago. The roasted chicken use to be one of there signature dishes. The chicken this visit was charred. So bad and rubbery was the pork dish that it was returned.
Decent food and beautiful location but overpriced.
Service was pretty lackluster and not great. But the food was tasty!
