Osteria Mattone

The grilled octopus was excellent with white beans. Scallops were cooked to perfection. With plastic inbetween tables, the noise level has changed for the better.

Love this restaurant!

The outdoor eating space is great, even in cold weather. Heaters everywhere. Wait staff is excellent.

We loved OM. The Pasta was very good. The apps were great. The Polpo i would not have again, but the meatballs and the artichokes were fantastic. Service was great...Sophia was on point...good mix of there when you need her and not. Valet was nice. FOH was sweet and attentive..all the BOH were sweet and chatty...not just plop your plate and run. I like that. We will be back

Our server was excellent. Her recommendation on the wine was spot on.
Restaurant was very clean and the partitions made me feel protected.
Food was outstanding and loved that they offered half portions on the salad appetizer. Otherwise, wouldn’t have ordered it and it was plenty in combo with my delicious entree of short rib ravioli.
Dessert of strawberry gelato was creamy, fresh and very tasty.

We had heard about the excellent food at Osteria Mattone, but we walked away just blown away with the amazing meal!

My food was amazing. I had the pesto risotto balls and veal tenderloin. So good!

I have been to OM several times previously. This NYE Was an exception hopefully. So much to go food left the dining area in disarray. Salads wrong , food cool not hot and service a disappointment. Servers should automatically get MOD when Food is not right. There was no argument but on salads a sense that we had made a mistake. Other servers 3 times delivering to go food to our table when we were of course dining in. I admit after years in resturant business I can be critical but the mistakes were glaring. Staff needs to be on point and more attentive during these horrible COVID times. At the very least we are allowed to dine in-in GA. I know this restaurant can do better.

Perfect New Year's Eve spot...quiet, socially distanced table for two. Calamari was delicious, so tender and not too bready. I had the Pasta Carbonara, it was so flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband had the Veal Roast over mashed potatoes...so tender and so delicious. We love this restaurant and will be going back for years to come.

Osteria never disappoints! The food, service, and ambiance is perfection. I’m so glad the scallops are back! The mushroom flatbread is a must, and the oxtail ravioli is so delicious. The wine and cocktail list is also great.

Disappointed with dinner at Osteria Matonne, ambience and service was very good, but not the same for the food.
My husband ordered a risotto that was watery and too buttery, and I ordered Peper and Cacio , what I had many times when in Italy and it was very disappointed! We won’t be back!

The food is so good. The outdoor space is the best! A wonderful place for dinner out, the staff makes you feel welcome! A favorite place.

My husband and I have not done much indoor dining since COVID reared its ugly head. But...I had a hankering for some Italian food, so I called to check on their inside seating arrangements. They have a very nice patio, but it was closed due to rain.

We dined fairly late on a Sunday evening, so there were very few people in the restaurant. In addition, the room we were in had the tables separated by partitions. The employees wore masks and we felt like they were following CDC protocols very well.

Since it was a little late, we didn't want a huge amount of food, so we ended up splitting three courses. Our starter was the pesto arancini; the risotto balls were nicely crisped on the outside and the pesto gave them a little different flavor. They were nestled in a bowl with pomodoro sauce. Next we had the arugula salad which was excellent. I'm a huge fan of this green, and have a hard time passing it up. The salad included poached pears, goat cheese and some other additions and was served with a light lemon dressing. For our main, we had the Funghi Pizza and it was delicious. There was a nice crust, plenty of mushrooms and caramelized onion, and wonderful truffle cream and fontina all over...YUMMY!

We always enjoy this restaurant and it was nice to get out after so many months of home cooking...not that I'm not a good cook!!! LOL

Great live music, fantastic waitress and excellent food! We will definitely be coming back!

Felt safe with the table partitions. Good recommendation from the wine list by waitstaff. Each item of food was excellent. The staff was attentive. We plan to return often.

Food was excellent as always.
The only problem was that our server got our order wrong twice. I was given a beer instead of a cocktail and My wife was brought the wrong dessert.

Absolutely amazing food

Poor service. Took a long time to get our food. All our food was over cooked. Coffee was cold. I have been to this restaurant many times and it was my husbands first time. He was not impressed. It was very disappointing.

We arrived early and got seated outside which was perfect based on the weather. Staff was polite and turned heaters on as the sun went down which made it comfortable as it got cooler. Food was very good and we would definitely go back.

Nice dinner on patio with heaters and plenty of distant between patrons.

Good food! Some socially distanced tables but some are not. Very good artichoke appetizer. I had the branzino which was good but the broccolini tasted too smoky. The caramel dessert was great. The temperature was cold in the restaurant so I’d bring a jacket next time. Overall some of the best Italian food we have had in Atlanta!

We had visited and dined at this restaurant twice before. This time, there was a significant difference. The food is below average. The ingredients themselves seemed pedestrian. The sauces were not delicate, not integrated with the food. They were heavy handed and amateur. We had 3 different selections, each one being equally lackluster. Spaghetti Carbonara, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Risotto Funghi. All basic dishes for what is supposed to be a high end Italian restaurant.

We do not recommend Osteria Mattone until or unless they change who and what is happening in the kitchen.
