Osteria Mattone Ratings and Reviews
Authentic, attentive service from the first greeting until the goodbye. All staff were at the top of their game and our Server was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, which really added to the experience. Service throughout the meal was spot on without being obtrusive. Well done!
We had an excellent experience. I had some of the best fritto misto and my ravioli stuffed with short rib was a winner. My negroni cocktail was well made. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and comfy. We could actually have a conversation with our friends due to the construction of the restaurant in different rooms. A winner in Roswell.
For fine dinning Italian, this is not the place to go. This is the second time that I have been to this restaurant. The first time we went was when they first opened. The experience was poor the food was not much better.
on this occassion a friend wanted to go for her birthday because she had never been.I am sad to report that even though they have changed chefs, the food was still not great. The pasta was under cooked on two dishes....one diner sent her pasta dish back and the other just picked out and ate the seafood in hers. When the first dish was brought back out, the pasta was still under cooked.
I prefer Pricci and St. Cecilia for a nice meal.
My husband and I dined at Osteria Mattone for the first time on Friday, November 24th, and we were impressed. Let me begin with the Server, Mark. He exuded friendliness, warmth and helpfulness. He made dining delightful. The food is flavorful and attractively plated. Recommend Insalata di Rucola (Arugula Salad), Cacio e Pepe (cheese, pepper, pasta) (My husband loved this dish!), Spago (pasta, tomato, basil parmesan and garlic) with Veal Meatballs, and Volpaia Chianti. Recommend Osteria Mattone
Lovely restaurant in Roswell. Valet parking available. Food was nicely prepared and just as described. We all loved the selections recommended along with the regular favorites. My father in law enjoyed the Octopus appetizer. We couldn't get enough of the sausage and peppers. Portions were spot on.
My husband and I had the best dinner at Osteria Mattone celebrating our 4th anniversary - the dining experience was exceptional from start to finish. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted with a “Happy Anniversary” and the handwritten anniversary card signed by the staff waiting at our table was such a special touch. The food was fantastic - quality ingredients prepared beautifully and simply, just like we’ve had in Italy. The short rib ravioli was the best dish we’ve had in years - exquisite. We also enjoyed the baby artichoke hearts to start, the whole branzino Mediterranean Sea bass and the fungi (mushroom) pizza - all were fantastic. The homemade focaccia was the best I’ve ever had and the salted caramel bread pudding was a delicious way to end the meal. I’m also pregnant with our first baby and I really appreciated the special “mocktail” the bartender prepared for me. The atmosphere at Osteria Mattone is great - we felt right at home amongst the slightly rustic decor and warm lighting. Our server Zach was also fantastic with excellent knowledge of the menu. All around, Osteria Mattone checked all the boxes of a perfect celebratory evening!
My wife and I have been coming here since it opened 4 years ago. Chefs and staff have varied since then, but the owner has always maintained a very high bar for the quality of the food and service. And tonight was no different even though, in addition tothe regular menu, special dishes were added to celebrate the 4th anniversary.
A VERY special collection of talent which to me has always yielded a pleasantly memorable meal.
We really enjoyed the Osteria Mattone. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was our first trip to the restaurant and we will definitely be back. Our server, Isabella, was very helpful and attentive. The food was very, very good. Try it if you haven't been there, you'll enjoy it.
Dined here last week for my wife's Birthday dinner/date. Exceptional experience overall. From the hostess table to wait staff, food runners, etc. the service was the best I have experienced in a long while. Food was flavorful and fresh without an over abundance of seasoning which was nice. We will definitely be back!
Dining outside beside the fire pit...so pleasant! It was a weeknight and nicely quiet. Our server Mark was not only knowledgeable about the beer selection, but also each dish. He is a great server with a fantastic personality. All the dishes we ordered were great , however the Corzetti pasta dish was s but too oily. The Agnolotti was outstanding. Book in advance if you are trying for the weekend!
We were very disappointed in the quality of the food. The service and ambiance were both very good, but what was put on the table was not. The fried appeteaser was greasy and tasted as if the frying oil had not been changed out in a long time. I ordered the Osso Buco which was tough, zero flavor and the texture was like boiled meat. My wife had the Veal Milenase and again, no flavor. The veal was pounded into submission and only positive aspects of the dish was the fresh arugala. This restaurant has lost its way and there are many other better Italian restaurants in the area.
