About Osteria Marco
Osteria Marco is a very social, artisan-style pizzeria in the heart of Larimer Square. The exposed brick dining room is lined with bottles from our exclusively Italian wine list, which features nearly one hundred labels priced under fifty dollars per bottle. We roast the lamb, pork and beef for our panini right in the dining room and craft the cheeses and charcuterie from or salumi bar in house. Osteria Marco has all the amenities of a fine-dining establishment--excellent service, beautiful food, fabulous surroundings--but priced for the more casual, social diner.

Osteria Marco Ratings and Reviews
This was my second visit and again for a business meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Food was good, particularly the grilled octopus. They had a good Italian (Umbrian) Chardonnay by the glass.
The only flaw was not having espresso for the second day in a row. This was really absurd. A short walk around the corner would provide several opportunities to grab a bag of beans. “Waiting for a shipment” was a pretty feeble excuse. A problem easily avoided.
This is getting difficult: which Frank Bonnano Concept restaurant is our favorite? It's a 5-way tie at this point and we've yet to try his newest venture. But not just within his amazing world, rather among the best in all of Denver. This Larimer Square gem sits in the basement so don't let the small street-level entrance throw you. It's Italian but not of the pasta variety. Fabulous starters, salads, pizzas, paninis and entrees and, to my later regret, we had just about something from every section. Very good-sized portions and a price-point that is more than fair for high quality ingredients and service making this a true winner. Not that this surprises me.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had the delicious house salad as a starter. For the main course I took a fish they had that day (might be red snapper, but I'm not sure). The fish came on some small pasta balls and sweet cherry tomatoes, and was absolutely outstanding. For dessert I had the chef's special black raspberry strudel , and it was a fantastic finale for a great dinner.
Walking into the restaurant, it seemed promising. It was quaint and we had to walk down a flight of stairs to the basement where the restaurant is. The hostess sat us in a booth next to the bar. There was a set up for four on our table so the hostess primpotly removed the other two settings. Our cups were already there as a part of the set up. I didn't like this as mine had debris in it. After about 7 min, our server approached our table. He had a very nonchalant behavior and approach with us. As it was our first time dining there, I asked for suggestions. He mumbled a few and left. We ordered drinks, an appetizer (toasted bread and cheese plate), and entrees. Our server never approached the table after we ordered, as he was chatting with coworkers. But, since we were close to the bar, we asked for service from another employee when we needed refills on water.
Our appetizer was delivered. The cheese and bread plate was okay. There was a lot of oil on the plate making the toasted bread soggy. Our entrees were - turkey panini and the wild mushroom and cheese pizza. My s/o liked his panini. He said it was pretty good. My pizza was soggy and limp. It was served on a large plate and the oil just puddled in the center. When I picked up a slice, the cheese and mushrooms slid off of the limp dough, leaving me with a soggy, oily, mushy slice. Unappetizing.
We got 2 drinks each, an app, and two entrees and $100 later, not worth it.
I had been away for a few months, but the food was just as great as always. My colleague and I shared 2 pizzas: the prosciutto was terrific, with the freshest arugula in town (except at Frank Bonnano's other restaurants) in the middle of the pie, and the perfect crust. The shrimp and chorizo pizza was also great, with flavorful sausage, cheeses and not-overcooked shrimp (yum!). And it was not soggy! And the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Really great for a casual business lunch.
Just not impressed with the overall look of the restaurant. We had been there in the past. The menu had been changed , there were no pastas or even specials. A whole section of paninis that we’re average at best. The pizza that was ordered by 4 of my friends along with myself came out soggy. Also our reservation was at 845 and they made us wait an additional 15 mins because they were not ready for our party. I have since talked with other friends about the dinner and told them and others not to waste there money. I’m not happy with the experience at all. I work in the restaurant biz and will never be back to this restaurant
Osteria Marco is my staple go-to restaurant. The service is always impeccable, the food is consistently amazing, and the drink menu is always on point. Love that it's good quality food for an affordable price. The atmospshere is perfect for birthdays, business, and date nights alike.
My 6th or 7th dinner here over several years. Super food, great value at the bar including an awesome wine list and have definitely upped their game with cocktails. Most of all, the service was outstanding. Attentive, full of helpful suggestions, uniformly super, as always.
