About Osteria Marco

Osteria Marco is a very social, artisan-style pizzeria in the heart of Larimer Square. The exposed brick dining room is lined with bottles from our exclusively Italian wine list, which features nearly one hundred labels priced under fifty dollars per bottle. We roast the lamb, pork and beef for our panini right in the dining room and craft the cheeses and charcuterie from or salumi bar in house. Osteria Marco has all the amenities of a fine-dining establishment--excellent service, beautiful food, fabulous surroundings--but priced for the more casual, social diner.

They have a nice wine menu and tasty food. It's in a basement so no view but it’s a friendly ambiance.

We love the food and have been here several times. The staff could be friendlier and it is disconcerting to see people walk in and get seated while you wait 20 minutes for a table even though you have a reservation. Overall a good place.

While walking down the stairs you start to realize they mean business here. Then you get your food and are instantly transported to downtown Rome eating fresh pizza. Just amazing.

Was in town for business and visited this restaurant at the recommendation of a Denver local. Holy smokes! The food was phenomenal! The three of us at the table had the steak, the veal and a squash pizza with bruschetta and roasted artichoke appetizers. All were fantastic and the service and ambiance were absolutely great. This was one of the best meals I've had in the last year.

This place came highly recommended by friends who live in Denver. It was a nice spot, the food looked much better than it tasted. If you are 21, maybe a place to go. If you like food, avoid it.

Have loved this place since it opened. Always a go to. Reasonable pricing for Larimer...all of Denver in general. Will keep coming back.

This was my second visit and again for a business meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Food was good, particularly the grilled octopus. They had a good Italian (Umbrian) Chardonnay by the glass.
The only flaw was not having espresso for the second day in a row. This was really absurd. A short walk around the corner would provide several opportunities to grab a bag of beans. “Waiting for a shipment” was a pretty feeble excuse. A problem easily avoided.

Great restaurant. Was pretty loud and the table separated us a bit more which made it hard for conversation. Good people watching. Food was awesome and cocktails were delicious.

We enjoyed dinner at Osteria Marco. The atmosphere is fun,, and has a buzz without being too noisy. We tried the chicken entrée, some pizzas and salads, and everything was delicious. Service was good, and staff was friendly. This is good food without the "fancy restaurant" type feel. The restaurant is downstairs in a building on Larimer Square. Great location.

I really don't like writing a review since I've already rated it a "5" but if you insist then, here goes. Good food, service and an enjoyable experience. However, tight quarters and difficult to have a conversation from the person across from you.

Love the view of Larimer Square - we sat outside. Great wine by the glass chosen by our very knowledgeable wait person. We enjoyed the meal. I'd love to see a few more items on the menu.

This is getting difficult: which Frank Bonnano Concept restaurant is our favorite? It's a 5-way tie at this point and we've yet to try his newest venture. But not just within his amazing world, rather among the best in all of Denver. This Larimer Square gem sits in the basement so don't let the small street-level entrance throw you. It's Italian but not of the pasta variety. Fabulous starters, salads, pizzas, paninis and entrees and, to my later regret, we had just about something from every section. Very good-sized portions and a price-point that is more than fair for high quality ingredients and service making this a true winner. Not that this surprises me.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had the delicious house salad as a starter. For the main course I took a fish they had that day (might be red snapper, but I'm not sure). The fish came on some small pasta balls and sweet cherry tomatoes, and was absolutely outstanding. For dessert I had the chef's special black raspberry strudel , and it was a fantastic finale for a great dinner.

Walking into the restaurant, it seemed promising. It was quaint and we had to walk down a flight of stairs to the basement where the restaurant is. The hostess sat us in a booth next to the bar. There was a set up for four on our table so the hostess primpotly removed the other two settings. Our cups were already there as a part of the set up. I didn't like this as mine had debris in it. After about 7 min, our server approached our table. He had a very nonchalant behavior and approach with us. As it was our first time dining there, I asked for suggestions. He mumbled a few and left. We ordered drinks, an appetizer (toasted bread and cheese plate), and entrees. Our server never approached the table after we ordered, as he was chatting with coworkers. But, since we were close to the bar, we asked for service from another employee when we needed refills on water.

Our appetizer was delivered. The cheese and bread plate was okay. There was a lot of oil on the plate making the toasted bread soggy. Our entrees were - turkey panini and the wild mushroom and cheese pizza. My s/o liked his panini. He said it was pretty good. My pizza was soggy and limp. It was served on a large plate and the oil just puddled in the center. When I picked up a slice, the cheese and mushrooms slid off of the limp dough, leaving me with a soggy, oily, mushy slice. Unappetizing.

We got 2 drinks each, an app, and two entrees and $100 later, not worth it.

It is a place I go to for comfort food. Love the Goat cheese-fig pizza with a glass of delicious red wine.

I had been away for a few months, but the food was just as great as always. My colleague and I shared 2 pizzas: the prosciutto was terrific, with the freshest arugula in town (except at Frank Bonnano's other restaurants) in the middle of the pie, and the perfect crust. The shrimp and chorizo pizza was also great, with flavorful sausage, cheeses and not-overcooked shrimp (yum!). And it was not soggy! And the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Really great for a casual business lunch.

What an unbelievable meal. The roasted chicken with potatoes a winner - the roasted artichoke melted in the mouth and the pizza was amazing. Butterscotch bread pudding was shared and provided a great ending to a fabulous meal.

Just not impressed with the overall look of the restaurant. We had been there in the past. The menu had been changed , there were no pastas or even specials. A whole section of paninis that we’re average at best. The pizza that was ordered by 4 of my friends along with myself came out soggy. Also our reservation was at 845 and they made us wait an additional 15 mins because they were not ready for our party. I have since talked with other friends about the dinner and told them and others not to waste there money. I’m not happy with the experience at all. I work in the restaurant biz and will never be back to this restaurant

One of our favorite spots for personal pizza. They use incredible, fresh ingredients to create amazing tasting pizzas. Their salads/dressings are also sensational. A must visit when you are in Larimer square for lunch or dinner.
