   LOVE this place. First time I tried rabbit loin, a new fave of mine. I loved everything we ordered. Great cocktails. Superb service. Will be coming back.

   I had high hopes for Osteria Langhe, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The pasta portions were shockingly small—especially the plin, which is apparently their “star dish.” In reality, it was just extremely rich and not much else. The ragu was also a letdown—undercooked and barely enough to count as a full serving. I’m not exaggerating when I say half the dish could fit in a single bite. As for the patatas, they were essentially mashed potato balls dressed up with a fancier name. The one highlight of the meal was the insalata, which was refreshing and well-balanced—though even that was missing a key ingredient: pomegranate. My chicken entrée was nicely cooked and flavorful, but the sides (cannellini beans and green beans) were completely unseasoned and unbelievably bland. To make matters worse, the ambiance was totally disrupted by a loud, drunken group at the next table who were literally screaming throughout the meal. Shockingly, none of the staff seemed to mind or intervene—it was like that level of noise was just accepted. Service was fine, but overall, I left feeling underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. Definitely not rushing back.

   Fantastic food, fantastic service. It was our anniversary and we wanted something special and we sure got it! Kenny, our server was delightful. All around fabulous experience.!

   Our server was great. But our drinks took to long to arrive. Fist, the noise level: The place was full of people and the sound system was pumping out pop music. And all the people were competing with the sound system making for a very noisy atmosphere. My date and I were were yelling back and forth just te be heard. The food: One of the appetizers, encrusted shrimp was served over some kind of dipping sauce that was sweet. The sweetness was completely unexpected. The sauce was not that tasty. The second appetizer was vitello al tonnato. There was not enough tuna dressing and, inexplicably there was an encrusted, soft egg. Both apps came with a side of dressed greens that were noticeably lacking is seasoning (salt) The entrees were also somewhat forgettable except that they were also under seasoned (did the chef forget to taste before plating?). The cocktail: A lemon drop -- tasted like lemonade. Not good. The cost: $140 and change for two apps trying too hard to be authentic, but falling way short; two entrees lacking in flavor and authenticity; and three rounds of cocktails lacking in quality and appeal. If average yet overpriced Italian food with middle-shelf atmosphere is what you're after, then this place is for you. I do feel bad for our server. He seemed like a really good guy. Too bad he's stuck at such a mediocre spot.
