The Reddit community all agreed- Osteria is a can’t miss meal in Chicago and they were right! This is the quintessential neighborhood gem that locals love and tourists rarely find. We were warmly greeted. Our waiter brought two lovely glasses of Rosé to celebrate our anniversary! The first dish was the potato balls. If you only eat one thing here, it must be this. Heavenly! The owner came out to chat and told us this was his mother’s recipe. He was a charming host and we felt like part of the family. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Osteria Langhe NEVER disappoints. The food was excellent as always. Our party of four wanted a bottle of rosé and our server helped us to choose a perfect one. We feel so lucky that we can walk to this world-class restaurant.

Three of us shared a ragu primi, and it was excellent. I loved my rabbit secondi, but my husband's pork special was overcooked and very dry. He'd rate it a 1 or 2. He's not sure he'd want to go to return, which is a shame because we've enjoyed Osteria Langhe many times in the past. He never complains about food but he did mention this to the man who served us and received a polite apology...

Our first dining experience at this restaurant, after living in Bucktown for ~ 6 years. We tried the Patata, Plin, Pappardelle, and Coniglio. Patatas and Plin arrived within 5 mins of our order. Everything was good, but I’m not inclined to return. Dining was somewhat uncomfortable due to the poor air circulation and the heat.
