About
Tremendous Italian food. As good as what I had in Rome, Florence and Venice. Burrata and Bolognese were amazing.
This has become my go-to spot for great italian place. LOVE this place. Pizza, pasta, salads...everything is delicious. Great vibe, nice place, old school look. Ate at the bar, at a table a few times and ordered from there. All around my favorite Italian around here.
The pork chop is a must-order. Just do it. Prepare to have your mind blown with the explosion of flavor they have incorporated into the sauce. You don't need to thank me later.
Hands down, the best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. The carbonara, the papardelle, the octopus salad and the sopressata pizza are my go to's. The most delicious food I've had since leaving Italy. The atmosphere is chill and not stuffy. I highly reccomend it.
Love this place! Cozy European feel, great food, great service. The main attraction is their Pasta Carbonara. The best!!
Matt, the manager, is awesome! The service was amazing. And like always, the food was phenominal. Osteria LA Buca is my go-to whenever I'm in LA!
One of my favorite restaurants ever. The pasta and rib eye is amazing!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant ever. I have been dying to try their pizza, but I just can't get away from their bucatini carbonara, short rib raviolis, and pappardelle bolognese. Also, house made Ricotta with the carmelized agave is fricken amazing.
This was a great place for a double date with friends. The ambience is quiet and romantic for dinner- candles on the table, pretty place settings. The waiter was great and attentive. His recommendations on starters were on point- the meatballs are FANTASTIC, and the roasted Brussels sprouts as well. He recommended an excellent red wine as well, I was very impressed and loved it (I’m not a normal red wine girl, I tend to go for white or rosé). Everyone ordered the Cacio Pepe dish, except for me- I got the short rib ravioli and all of the food was delicious! No complaints, everything was perfect. The waiter was on point on refilling water glasses and timed dessert offerings so perfectly. The tiramisu was AMAZING. Best I’ve ever had, anywhere. Perfect. It was a great evening, and I would definitely recommend anyone to come here!
Everything was absolutely delicious and the prices were really quite reasonable. I didn’t have one of their cocktails (instead had a delicious glass of wine) but they looked yummy. It was very loud but I don’t mind that because it can make an atmosphere feel less stuffy. I’ll definitely eat here again!
Staff is so nice and food is excellent
From the host to the server, no smile, no effort, made me feel unwelcome. The server didn’t make any efford in explaining the menu. And when I asked her a few questions about the menu, she seemed iritated answering my questions
Fantastic pastas straight from Italy. The real deal. Homemade and wonderful sauces. Seems most everything is house made and grown I’m told.
The hosts were wonderful. We were late and the did their best to give us a table ASAP and were lovely to chat with which made the short wait after a long plane trip more than bearable. Our server was wonderful as well. The only downside is the noise level. Upstairs there’s nothing to absorb the sound. Downstairs not any better. We’d try to go on a downtime next time (if there is one as it’s just that good.
made a reservation via OpenTable, we must have punched in the wrong #. When we got there, the reservation showed 2, we were 3. It was crowded with lots energy. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They moved a few tables and within 5 minutes, sat us down. Our server couldn't have been more kind. Send over the MOST delicious ricotta cheese appetizer due to the inconvenience, (that we created..... OUR MISTAKE). NOW That's SMART business! How do you turn a potentially bad experience into a good one.... JUST ask la buca manager Matthew. What a simply delightful experience my friends and I had Wednesday evening... Thank you all. pleasant experience
Service was great! Seated right on time. The food was excellent quality and flavor and execution. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back
O La Bu is without a doubt my favorite restaurant, period. I love it for the relaxed romantic ambiance just as much as I love it for the food. I'm sure you've heard about the food. Divine...all of it, and perfectly priced. Order the Farro Caesar for something light, the Rigatoni for something satisfying, and the Tomahawk Pork Chop for ALL-EYES-ON-YOU. Sit upstairs by the fireplace if you are with a group. Sit downstairs by the windows if your are on a date. I will be sitting alone at the bar, with a glass of Albariño, watching the bartender make fancy cocktails, every Sunday night.
I loved this place! We made a reservation but it was a busy Friday night. We waited like 10 minutes to be seated which was annoying but they were busy. The food was amazing! I loved the wine and the Pasta Carbonara. I was also amazed at how good their basic fresh green salad was. You could literally taste how fresh it was.
Service is the best! Everything is made from scratch, you can taste the freshness.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. Our salads, where top notch. Order the Beef Tartar , it is unreal!
Good food and drinks.
LOVE the food, pasta is amazing, pork chop is the BEST!
We have been coming to the restaurant from the time when there were only 2 or 3 tables, some 20years now. The quality of the food is always consistent, delicious, and the service is outstanding. We always feel right at home at La Buca. In fact, anytime we have out of towners visiting or when we get together with friends, this is where we meet for a good reasonable meal.
Portion sizes are pretty but small. Wine bottle prices are a bit top heavy and if you like to ask for your food to be prepared in a special way, expect to hear your waiter tell you that the chef is strict and surprisingly unwilling to accommodate special requests. Sure, it's a hipster spot, but I wouldn't go back there if I were too hungry,
The staff didn’t even greet us when we entered the restaurant as she was having a casual conversation with a friend. The. She seated us 25 minutes after our reservation time since table wasn’t ready. Then when it came to order food the waiter did not ask about any food restriction. When we ask about the desert menu, the waiter explained there is no printed menu and can tell us the menu verbally. He failed to tell me the flan has alcohol when I am pregnant. After receiving the desert I asked if it has any alcohol and he confirmed and didn’t even apologize when I informed him I am pregnant. I have dined here several times but I am appalled at this type of service.
Loved this place! Delicious food and such a fun night out!
Tables upstairs are much quieter- downstairs can be loud. Food and service were excellent.
Great vibes & amazing pasta
Good food and pleasant atmosphere. Would recommend it
Food needed just a pinch of salt
It was so damn good. Great service. Playing was beautiful. Wine recommendations were on point. Server had sommelier level knowledge. The chocolate mouse- like dessert was divine. Best Osteria in Hollywood for sure.
Osteria La Buca was amazing! I recently spent a couple moths in Florence and I fell in love with Italian cuisine! I tried a couple of different places upon arriving home in LA and none of them were quite right until this place. It exceeded my expectations and the staff were very sweet and accommodating for the meal. I would definitely recommend this to any person who wants to try authentic Italian food. I am definitely coming back here more than once!
Overall great experience. Servers were knowledgeable and kind. Front desk was very helpful when they called to confirm appt. Food was really good. Special night made so by a special restaurant!
Love the Buca, however we were seated right under the speakers, but I'm a little sensitive to noise.
Always amazing... the food... the wine... the service... everything is A+
I made a reservation for my girlfriends birthday. They seated us a few minutes early. I love Italian food and let me say the food was absolutely delicious. They brought out desert with a candle just as I ask for when I made the reservation. The place itself is very cool. The lighting is pretty cool. The second floor has a nice view of the whole restaurant with a fireplace. The staff was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Food was fantastic, Sarah our server was the best, pasta aldente' as it should be.
Wonderful ambiance, excellent service and delicious food made for a perfect night. Not a place to spend hours, as it is a busy restaurant and there are people waiting. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful natural wines. Great food. Overall exceptional experience.
From the food to our beautiful waitress, it was an amazing experience. incredible food with amazing service! Will be back
Love this place and the beautiful and cozy atmosphere. Nothing beats a bowl of fresh pasta and wine to comfort you any day of the week!
