A classic neighborhood spot, with pasta worth driving across the city for.
Our server, Cameran was freaking awesome! We will be back and specifically to sit in her section. Also best GF pasta in town.
Fantastic food and great service!
Excellent food, great playlist on Saturday night 4/114
This is my 2nd time at LaBuca and my son's 3rd or 4th. Great cocktails, great waiter/waitresses with knowledge of wines. The food comes out pretty quickly so you are not sitting waiting and wondering where it is. The apps and main courses are all equally delicious. I'm not a big dessert person but for her birthday my daughter ordered the chocolate mousse and I must say, it was amazing and as light as air. They know what they're doing here.
The capellini with brown butter and pecorino was divine! Pizza was good but didn't wow me. Nice beer selection and I would go back!
I miss Osteria La Bucca now that we moved East and love to go when we are in L.A.
Really enjoyed the whole night. Great atmosphere, service and food was awesome, not pretentious and very relaxed fun evening.
Attitude, attitude, attitude. Let’s start with the drinks. We order a white wine and two speciality cocktails. The white wine by glass had been opened for a week and was oxides and one of the cocktails was terrible. When we asked for new ones they said no and charged us for a 2nd.Unbelievable, we never touched our 1st drinks except for a quick taste. It went downhill from there. The place was loud, service to cool for school, and when one of our party was 20 minutes late they informed us we had to be out quickly as they expected to turned over the table every 2 hours. We were there to celebrate my parents anniversary and would have spent a huge amount on wine and dinner. We order the basics and left. Food was ok, nothing to justify the 4.8 rating. Seriously disappointed with whoever rates this place previously. Don’t waste your time or $$
I took my friend here for her birthday. It was a recommendation from a friend.
The service was excellent and the food was very good. However, the butterscotch dessert was outstanding! The prices were reasonable.
I would definitely recommend this place.
Great food friendly staff
Food here is incredible
Very loud! Don't expect to be able to carry on a good conversation here. Cement floor & nothing to absorb noise doesn't help. Chicken parm is very good but don't bother paying the extra for the side of spaghetti. It wasn't that good. The short rib ravioli was a very small portion, only about 3 pieces so this is not a meal. Service was good & our server was nice to offer suggestions.
Amazing as always
Great food, wine, vibe etc... Very Loud. Hard to have a real conversation.
This was only our second visit to Osteria Buca, but we will be returning. The service is excellent, and the food is imaginative and really delicious. A real winner, except for perhaps the noise level in the restaurant!
The food is always quite good here and the service also quite good. The downside was their valet parking. They had only one attendant parking cars and retrieving them. It took about 20 minutes to get my car after dinner, even though there were only about 3 people ahead of me in line. The poor attendant had to park incoming cars, then retrieve ours, and apparently where he parks the cars is not close by, as it took several minutes for this to happen.
As far as the Open Table experience, my business associate and I wanted to go there around 7:00 pm or 7:30, but Open Table said the only available times were earlier (6:30 is what we decided on), or later (9:30 upwards). However, during the meal we were surprised to see that about half of the tables surrounding us were empty. So I'm not quite sure why there was a blackout on the more ideal times.
One of my top 5 favorite Italian restaurants in all of LA. Must have the ricotta appetizer. The bolognese is outstanding! Portions are generous and the wine/cocktails are so good.
This place is amazing. Great food, ambience, service is top notch!
Best pasta ever... And this is coming from someone who came here with a bunch of Italians from Brooklyn. I had the Bolognese and it was so flavorful and cooked just right. I could eat this for days. The ambience was very cool. It's located a block and a half from Paramount studios. My only slight dissatisfaction was with our waitress. She was a bit too snobby, telling us that she would NEVER drink the LA filtered water after pouring us our water.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in la and I make sure to eat here everytime I come. The food is always amazing!!
Food and ambiance was great!
Great Dinnet the Highlights were the fresh Ricotta and the carbonara
Food was very salty and too creamy. The pizza we ordered (The classic) had lots of salt grains, and the toppings were lacking. The roasted beef raviolli was way too salty, and nothing was able to wash the taste down.
On the good side, the service and the ambiance were satisfying. Water was poured regularly, and servers were polite and attentive.
I would come back to this place for the location, but unfortunately, the food is not worth the price.
I go to OLB every couple of months. Always great! Julian cider is one of my fave things to get to drink. I had a very VERY picky eater with me. We stuck to the basics: rosemary bread, pork meatballs, cacio pepe, and carbonara. They were a hit!
Parking is the worst. I’m patient and always find street parking. Valet is an option.
We were 5 people- everyone loved their meals- pappardelle bolognese was superb, the short rib ravioli was declared " there best of the table" . The salad of fresh lettuces with lemon olive oil was crisp and fresh and delicious. Our server was helpful and attentive. We had a GREAT time.
We LOVE La Buca. It’s been a favorite of ours for years. It never disappoints. It’s fresh and tasty. I always leave there feeling wonderfully satisfied!
Cant get sick of this place, its so good. From the wine list to the food menu to the ambiance to the service its always spot on.
Fresh Homemade Pasta, need I say more? Excellent! Love the Ambience...
La buca never disappoints i been coming here for years and is as good as the first time that I tried it. The food and service is amazing like always highly recommended
I love this place. The only problem there ever is the noise level in the evening,
There is almost no street parking and at rush hour if you use valet, your car will block one lane of traffic. That isn’t so bad if the valet attendant is there but with only one attendant, he frequently is not there and you have to circle the block and hope he will be there when you arrive again.
The atmosphere is rustic but pleasant. The music is too loud and the choose of music is inappropriate for dining. Sit upstairs where it is quieter.
The food is ok but not as good as it used to be. We had not been there for about two years( due to parking concerns) and we thought the food was not as good as our previous experiences.
Best food ever

Super disappointed with tonight's fare. I've been here many times but this was really sub par. We ordered the brussel sprout intro followed by the angel hair past and pizza (baked egg?). Everything was way too salty, too complicated: e.g. the pecorina cheese baked into overcooked angel hair pasta. Pizza crust was perfect but the flavor was lacking. This was Tuesday so maybe a different chef? I was just here 4 weeks ago and the food was spectacular. I mean, when al dente is not part of the pasta lexicon for the evening, things are not going well. Everyone has a bad night so that's a given. However, might be a while before we return. Even our server, who was exemplary a month ago, failed to ask the server 101 follow up of "how was your meal?". Not a great night for Osteria. Feel like we wasted money tonight. On the plus side, getting a bad review helps correct bad employee interaction or chef practice.
Brandon was our waiter- and he was the BEST!
Absolutely incredible pasta. Some of the best, if not the best, I've had in LA.
Ossetia La Buca is a wonderful, reasonably priced (for LA) place to dine with friends or family. I’m just kicking myself for not getting our server’s name... she was amazing.
Five people, excellent service and delicious food... what more can one ask for?
I went here with my family for my Mom’s birthday and everything was delicious! The house made ricotta was to die for and the grilled octopus was so yummy. The pizza and pastas were all on point! My only disappointment was the tiramisu which was just okay and only 3 options for dessert. We sat on the second floor which was quaint and had a nice view of the restaurant below. We definitely recommend!
Amazing food, atmosphere and the right amount of great service.
Excellent restaurant. Have never had a bad meal so it is always worth it to go. Great little nook with tremendous food.
Delicious food and excellent service! The noise level was the only slight problem, in that it was a bit hard to hear our tablemates. But other than that, everything great!
