A classic neighborhood spot, with pasta worth driving across the city for.
Great Dinnet the Highlights were the fresh Ricotta and the carbonara
Food was very salty and too creamy. The pizza we ordered (The classic) had lots of salt grains, and the toppings were lacking. The roasted beef raviolli was way too salty, and nothing was able to wash the taste down.
On the good side, the service and the ambiance were satisfying. Water was poured regularly, and servers were polite and attentive.
I would come back to this place for the location, but unfortunately, the food is not worth the price.
I go to OLB every couple of months. Always great! Julian cider is one of my fave things to get to drink. I had a very VERY picky eater with me. We stuck to the basics: rosemary bread, pork meatballs, cacio pepe, and carbonara. They were a hit!
Parking is the worst. I’m patient and always find street parking. Valet is an option.
We were 5 people- everyone loved their meals- pappardelle bolognese was superb, the short rib ravioli was declared " there best of the table" . The salad of fresh lettuces with lemon olive oil was crisp and fresh and delicious. Our server was helpful and attentive. We had a GREAT time.
We LOVE La Buca. It’s been a favorite of ours for years. It never disappoints. It’s fresh and tasty. I always leave there feeling wonderfully satisfied!
Cant get sick of this place, its so good. From the wine list to the food menu to the ambiance to the service its always spot on.
Fresh Homemade Pasta, need I say more? Excellent! Love the Ambience...
La buca never disappoints i been coming here for years and is as good as the first time that I tried it. The food and service is amazing like always highly recommended
I love this place. The only problem there ever is the noise level in the evening,
There is almost no street parking and at rush hour if you use valet, your car will block one lane of traffic. That isn’t so bad if the valet attendant is there but with only one attendant, he frequently is not there and you have to circle the block and hope he will be there when you arrive again.
The atmosphere is rustic but pleasant. The music is too loud and the choose of music is inappropriate for dining. Sit upstairs where it is quieter.
The food is ok but not as good as it used to be. We had not been there for about two years( due to parking concerns) and we thought the food was not as good as our previous experiences.
Best food ever

Super disappointed with tonight's fare. I've been here many times but this was really sub par. We ordered the brussel sprout intro followed by the angel hair past and pizza (baked egg?). Everything was way too salty, too complicated: e.g. the pecorina cheese baked into overcooked angel hair pasta. Pizza crust was perfect but the flavor was lacking. This was Tuesday so maybe a different chef? I was just here 4 weeks ago and the food was spectacular. I mean, when al dente is not part of the pasta lexicon for the evening, things are not going well. Everyone has a bad night so that's a given. However, might be a while before we return. Even our server, who was exemplary a month ago, failed to ask the server 101 follow up of "how was your meal?". Not a great night for Osteria. Feel like we wasted money tonight. On the plus side, getting a bad review helps correct bad employee interaction or chef practice.
Brandon was our waiter- and he was the BEST!
Absolutely incredible pasta. Some of the best, if not the best, I've had in LA.
Ossetia La Buca is a wonderful, reasonably priced (for LA) place to dine with friends or family. I’m just kicking myself for not getting our server’s name... she was amazing.
Five people, excellent service and delicious food... what more can one ask for?
I went here with my family for my Mom’s birthday and everything was delicious! The house made ricotta was to die for and the grilled octopus was so yummy. The pizza and pastas were all on point! My only disappointment was the tiramisu which was just okay and only 3 options for dessert. We sat on the second floor which was quaint and had a nice view of the restaurant below. We definitely recommend!
Amazing food, atmosphere and the right amount of great service.
Excellent restaurant. Have never had a bad meal so it is always worth it to go. Great little nook with tremendous food.
Delicious food and excellent service! The noise level was the only slight problem, in that it was a bit hard to hear our tablemates. But other than that, everything great!
One of the best restaurants not just in Hollywood but in all of the Los Angeles area - excellent on every level!
Terrific food and cozy, romantic atmosphere. We sat near the fireplace on the second floor and it was an intimate space. Make reservations ahead of time on the weekends as apparently the restaurant fills up quickly. Our reservation was late (and they could not seat us any earlier) so we didn't try a crazy amount of dishes but stuck with the basics, chicken parm and bolognese with the house made ricotta to start. Everything was exquisite.
My party of 5 arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time. 25-30minutes after our reserved time, we finally got seated.
When some of our food came out (they forgot our Brussels sprout. Supposedly they didn’t hear it when it was the 2nd thing we ordered) 2/5 people had ordered the same pasta dish and both came out with a different pasta (sorry forgot the name). So as the 3/5 of us got our food, we felt bad and waited for theirs to come out. 15-20minutes later they finally got their food and we all finally consumed our food...
As you can see, food was decent, but service wasn’t the best.
Loved our server Janelle. She was great!
The food is outstanding but the service was poor. The manager did apologize and try to make up for the poor service but it ruined the experience a bit.
All around ideal experience. I simply love this spot.
Great ambiance delicious food choices - loved the following:
Ravioli (beef or oxtail)
great wine choice - Dolcetto
Fantastic choices of homemade pastas. Food was delicious. Our server, Jonathon made the evening special with his warmth and great service. See you next time in LA!
Love this place! Incredible pasta and out of this world Brussels sprouts!
never let down by this restaurant! I have gone every time Im in LA on business (which is every other month) and not planning on stopping the tradition! Everything is amazing every time!
The restaurant was recommended because it was near the theatre we were going to for a play.
Food was amazing. Vibe was perfect. Server Chelsea not very friendly, stared too much making us feel uncomfortable while eating.
Always a great meal. Perfect for lunch. Pastas, pizzas, salads excellent
All I can say is wow. We showed up early for a 9pm reservation and were still seated very quickly. We were seated upstairs in the adorable room with the fire place. Guillermo was our server and he was great! Very attentive and helpful with making the right choices off the menu. We had the Brussel sprouts appetizer and it was unreal. My friend had the spaghetti cacio pepe and she loved It. I had the pappardelle bolognese and it was unreal with the homemade pasta. I can not wait to go back and try all the other yummy items on the menu!
Delicate food, amazing flavors and attention to details. Everything was very fresh and complementary flavors. Has become new favorite place for Casio Pepe!! Will be back!
Great experience since we walked in. Drinks are amazing and food is delicious!! Definitely coming back again!!!!
The food was amazing! So glad I made the drive from Diamond Bar.
I go every Thursday - this place is amazing - everything about it is great. Always an amazing dining experience
SO. DAMN. GOOD. Top 5 pasta in LA and even the gluten free version of the bolognese was next level good. loved it.
This place has everything....great food/drinks, great staff and great ambience. La Buca is our FAVORITE in LA hands down.
Everything we had was exquisite!
