The service was great, it helped that we had a reservation because when we arrived we noticed they had an 1 hr wait time. Once we were seated the servers were very attentive to our every need. The food came out ay a timely manner and tasted amazing. We had a great over all experience.
Excellent as always
Consistently good food in a relaxed atmosphere. A fun place to shop and eat.
Great service! Food was ok - my spaghetti pomodoro was ok -pizzas were good.
My husband ordered pizza and I ordered spaghetti bolognese. His pizza was brought out first and I had to wait for my order. By the time it came my husband was almost finished with his dinner and wine. I would recommend that if someone is ordering something other than pizza to not place the order for the pizza until the order is almost ready. Because of the wood burning oven the pizza is done in a matter of a minute or two. I had to drink my wine and watch my husband eat while I waited. The food is really very good but the timing was not.
The hostess was pleasant. The server was excellent and very pleasant. He went the extra mile to be sure you had everything you needed (even though he was very busy). The food was very good. We usually make a point of eating here whenever we are in Chicago.
Extremely disappointing! The food, the service, the ambience, the vibe-ALL below average. The cost/value was ridiculous. I am a local, and felt bad for all the tourists wasting their time and money.
Absolutely love this place, I can spend hours here. When I visit Chicago I always eat here. The Bolognese is superb. We bought cheese, crackers, and meat (oh, wine too 😉) for the train ride back to Grand Rapids. I will be back, and back, and back…
Our server was friendly, the food came out fast. I would have liked more than 3 little slices of bread and an option for cold (rather than room temperature) water would be nice. I know they're trying to make it authentic.
The food was amazing. The dish we got (a ricotta and spinach ravioli) was incredible!
Good food, good service, beyond loud ambiance
Quality of the ingredients is excellent but the cooking is not at the same level. Same for service.
Outstanding food - excellent wine selection. A little problem in bring out the food - but it was pointed out to us that multiple kitchens are being used - so coordination not always easy. But always a pleasure to walk around Eataly after dinner and of course admire the amazing cheese department.
Delicious as usual!
Thank you Jerome for fast and friendly service. Food is excellent. Affogato downstairs is outstanding . Will definitely return and recommend
Excellent food and service! Our table was ready right ahead of our reservation time. Will definitely be back!!
Enjoyed the restaurant but one pizza we got was a little under cooked.
Great food, very authentic , Italian at its best, highly recommend..
Sand in 2 of my oysters, nasty crunch. Not very flavorful. Bread and olive oil at the start could have at *least come with pepper. Very underwhelming experience for the price point and expectation.
Pizza was a little undercooked. Our starter was a little undercooked as well. Both signs that they were busy and rushed. Good flavors, great service.
Family get together
Lasagna was “ok”, tasted like being warmed up more than enough, was over killed by whatever what used. My fish was more on raw side. Also it had quite a few marks of “black smoke” from burning oil.
Server was like it should be like that.
I guess you are on the safe side if you will be ordering pit or pasta dish.
Reservations for 6 were a little hard to secure. But, seated on arrival at our time. Orders taken and food/wine arrived reasonably quickly. Our server was sort of unfriendly but did her job.
Good for the food and the shopping opportunities.
Great service and great food. Always a good time
WONDERFUL service, ambiance, environment, everything! We will be back 😊
I loved everything about this dining experience. The food was delicious and the pasta was so light.
My first time visiting Osteria in Eataly. The spinach ravioli was so light and delicious! My husband had the papardelle pasta with wild boar ragu, nothing left on either of our plates. Tasted exactly like pasta we had in Italy!
Jerome was our server and he was very professional, on top of his business in knowing what to order and drink, and had the VERY BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! Make sure to ask for him!! I’ll definitely go back when I’m back visiting!!
Very very disappointed. Made to wait for 30 minutes after arriving early. Tables were available.
Charged us for bread when it was free.
Very expensive. Bad food. We demand at least a partial refund. Probably a dream.
Great dinning experience.
Food and service were exceptional. Highly recommend the ravioli, focaccia. and tomato with cucumber salad.
Good was incredible, already planning my next trip!
Osteria do Eataly was a wonderful dining experience. Tables are sufficiently spaced for both privacy and safety, but the room is quite loud, but tolerable. The food was outstanding. Everything we ordered - we tend to share bites amongst the group of six - was delicious. Our waiter - Cade - was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Afterwards we did shop in the wonderful store. Great experience and not to to missed.
Cade, our server was great. Charcuterie tray was delish and fresh. Meatballs were hearty. Fun little shopping trip downstairs afterwards. Would recommend for a night out or a great lunch time stop. Sweet milk gelato was tasty too.
Our server Branislav was excellent, he was very attentive and made our visit special.
Our server was awesome. Polite, friendly and funny!
Great waiter, food was awesome!
Food was incredible, very traditional Italian style. Great setting, above the Italian market. Overall great experience.
If you are in Chicago and love Italian food, you have to visit this place. Two levels of anything and everything made in Italy, plus great food served at the restaurant. We went back a second night - too many things to choose from on the menu.
The calzone was not good. There was hardly any filling. It was like a mushy pizza folded on top of itself. The other pizzas and raviolis were good.
The waiter was good, very knowledgeable and good details, the presentation was the problem. A mountain of prosciutto on the melon, hard to eat gracefully and perhaps too much? The bruschetta could have benefitted from ribbons of basil rather than one limp leaf, and my pasta sauce, while tasty, needed salt and that took a while to flag someone down. Overall a nice meal, but not the greatness I expected-
