We waited 50 minutes for getting the main course after we finished the appetizers. We were about to leave. Nobody came to say sorry.
First steak came out too well done, waiter whisked it away, brought us 2 complimentary appetizers, and brought out a correctly cooked steak in short order. Excellent service!
I always enjoy going to Osteria della Pace, and you can't beat the wine deals during Eataly Fest.
Italian small town ambience
Excellent food. Great server.
Our server and the entire staff were extremely professional and personable
My wife and I would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family when visiting downtown Manhattan
Service was extremely slow.
Had the Gnocchi di Zucca and OMG was it delectable! pillow soft melt in your mouth wonderful.. I hope they put it on the menu instead of just as part of the Prix Fixe menu offering during Restaurant Fest. I would want this offered all winter long!! YUMMY.
Definately going back with a bunch of my friends!
Went for the Barolo celebration. Overpaid $22 per glass for falsely advertised wines. Six are listed online by the glass or bottle ranging from $14 to $20 per glass. Was only offered the $18 Serralunga as a five ounce pour but charged $22 and not what is being promoted online. Highly disappointed. Feels like bait and switch. Stuffed pepper appetizer was decent. Meals were mediocre. Pork chop very overcooked and dry. was never asked how i wanted it. Definitely won't go again.
Generally I meet clients for lunch there. The food is always good and the service is excellent. The views are beautiful as well. The most recent time there we shared a house made pasta with white truffle shavings. The taste was wonderful but the pasta was very dry. The beet salad was lovely and my guests enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana (one of my favorites there). I ordered the cod which came with declicous little potatoes. It was very good but a tiny tiny portion. This is an expensive restaurant made to impress. I'm sure I'll entertain there again.
Birthday dinner. Nice food and great service. The ambiance was just a bit lacking. Received a birthday scoop of ice cream on the house.
Nice experience but very pricey
The downtown Eataly experience is exceptional. The staff was amazing and the food incredible. Will definitely be back.
The views are very nice, but the service is not very attentive and the food is good, but not outstanding. Go there once to have "done it", but it is unlikely that you will be wowed and want to return. We go there to show people from out of town, but don't go there just for the two of us alone.
Ordered to octupus appetizer and it was so small. We ordered Tagliatelle Ragu and Linguine alle Vongole both were small portions for a pasta dinner. The ragu was dry and the linguine was too al dente not cooked enough but also the linguine sauce was not flavorful as far as clam taste and garlic. Kind of disappointing for such a well hyped Italian experience. Had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert which was good and the fruitti de bosco which was again, small. Overall expensive dinner to not be wowed.
We put in the reservation that there was a special occasion but no one bothered to ask us. When seated, the only other table in the whole restaurant was occupied. We asked for a window table and were told they were all reserved. When we left hour and a half after, all the window tables were still empty! This was not the level of hospitality we would expect in an upscale restaurant like this one. We did not feel welcome at all.
Never had a bad experience here.
We loved everything about this place! Juan was our server & he was great. I had the lobster risotto & my husband had the pasta w/beef. Outstanding!
Visiting New York.
The food was good not great, typical Mario Batille restaurant very contrived. View was nice, pretty restaurant, works if you are at the trade center. A bit of a tourist trap. Nice bar and ambiance.
Noise level almost intolerable. Very difficult to hear people at own table.
Restaurant clean and nice; BUT women's bathroom extremely messy and dirty. Inspection chart had been checked off every hour, but the floor was littered, the toilets were dirty, and the sinks had hair and pieces of tissue all over them. Inspection without cleanup means nothing!!!
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Celebrated a Birthday and got a window seat.
Ordering the steak from the restaurant week menu will give you 4 slices of steak. already sliced and therefore dried out a bit. Everything else was wonderful!
I expected much more. The quality of the food was just ok. We ordered the lunch special for restaurant week. The bread sucked and was cold including the focaccia. That was really a downer for me. I expect hot delicious bread. It’s a thing for me when I eat pasta. I ordered the gnocchi in red sauce and my friend had the pasta with pesto sauce. Two glasses of wine were $48 bucks. They weren’t even full glasses of wine! The salad appetizer was better than the burrata appetizer which was literally a slice of mozzarella. The tiramisu dessert was very good and the best part of our meal. So overall, the food was good, wine over priced,( same price as the meal) no hot bread and grind your own fresh black pepper ugh! I wasn’t blown away, but I didn’t hate it either.
Good place for a business lunch! Food is tasty and service is professional and fast.
Food was very delicious. I had the ziti. My complaint stems from the fact that even though the restaurant was half empty during our reservation time (with many open tables by the views), they scuttled my preteen daughter and I all the way to the dark back corner. While I understand they may not usually serve younger clients [hence the absence of a kid menu :)], I had hoped to make this special since it was her birthday dinner.
Great Italian - Reasonably priced!!
Was so disappointed, portions were tiny, food wasn’t cooked properly, and service was incredibly slow. I will not be returning.
Fast service and great food
The restaurant is located at the very end of Eataly so it was a bit hard to find. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice Restaurant Week menu. The choices were excellent. The service was very attentive but not hovering.
Excellent service, outstanding food. Definitely recommend
I usually love all things Eataly. I live near the Flatiron location and it is a go to place. Also ate at the 4 WTC location last month at Vino e Grano and it was fantastic. But this one was the worst. Bad service and super small portions and being charged for bread. I will not go back.
Service was very efficient yet friendly and personal. Really enjoyed the black truffle pasta.
The food is overpriced and the noise level was unbearable even at 2 pm on a weekday.
Tizzy went out of her way to make our experience special. Everything was great. 👍
Party of six, appetizers were ok however entrees were disappointing. My dish was a simple asparagus pasta dish that was extremely dry with a lack of freshness (this was supposed to be freshly made). This was very disappointing meal because I have been to Eataly flatiron and the food has never disappointed me.Everyone in our party was not pleased with entrees , they either lacked flavor or seemed dry and cold .Will not go back to this particular Eataly!
Great food, excellent service. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend this to anyone looking for some authentic Italian food and wine.
