It was great but need to add more choices on the menu
Second time in this restaurant.
Will definitely go back.
The food was delicious and the restaurant was very clean and service was fantastic.
Made reservation EatalyDowntown for Oseteria Della Pace. Pretty disappointed with our dinner. Risotto Salsiccia was crunchy, barely any sausage. The Capesante was good but the scallops were a touch over done. Not worth it for the amount of money we spend. I would've sent it back but we had to catch a train. So underwhelmed.
This was our second time. Unfortunately this time our Linguinni Vongole was way too aldente. Borderline almost hard raw.
My coworkers and I were excited to try this place for lunch and it was a complete disaster. The space is rather small so there were only 5-6 other tables seated. Our appetizers took 30 minutes to arrive and the main course took another 30 minutes to arrive. Since our appetizers , that consisted of 3 pieces of lettuce and 2 croutons, took so long to arrive, we expressed to the waitress we had a hard stop in another 20 minutes. She had zero sense of urgency and when they main course finally arrived we had to take our lunch to go.
Complete disappointment especially from Eataly, where we often grab lunch.
Wife had cod, no sauce and drastically overcooked. Offered pasta instead but she can’t eat pasta. Server ask manager to reduce bill . Manager said no. I paid entire bill even though wife did not eat entree and tipped 20%.?was not severs fault. POOR MANAGEMENT!Do not go! Will not return!
I enjoyed the food. But I have one gripe: I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and chose the salad as an appetizer. The menu indicated the salad came with walnuts, and as I can't digest nuts, I asked the waiter to leave them off. He abruptly said he couldn't do that and pointed to the bottom of the menu where it was stated "No substitutions." I replied that I wasn't asking for a substitution, but rather that I merely wished the kitchen to leave off the walnuts. The waiter insisted that he couldn't do that, and that the walnuts were spread throughout the salad. So I ordered a different appetizer, but the person I was dining with did order the salad. When his came, I noticed that there were just a few walnuts at the top of the salad -- obviously, they could have been left off.
My third time here, I was pretty disappointed. The salad that I ordered as my first course it was not fresh... no flavor and the cod that I overcooked. Service was good.
Our party of 5 enjoyed shared appetizers - all delicious. Special requests for entrees were accommodated graciously by staff. Cocktails were all delicious and wine recommendations were excellent. Definitely make reservations.
A sublime dining experience as usual. Andrea and his staff are the quintessence of hospitality. The ambiance as always is elegant and comfortable. The views are beautiful.
The food was exquisite:
We enjoyed the cured salmon, pizze fritte, polenta with truffle and eggs, and fabulous French toast.
The wine list is expansive and artfully curated.
In short: YOU SHOULD EAT HERE!
The food was bland and overall just ok !! Service was amazing
We engaged in conversation with Andrea Valletta (Assistant General Manager) who was both charming and knowledgeable. He is a real bonus for the business.
Excellent food as always
This restaurant is one of our favorites, but during Restaurant Week it was noisy. Consideration should be given to mitigating the buzz, just a little bit. Also, there were a few server miscues, and the seating was a mystery - incoming parties were packed together at adjacent tables, leaving open islands of seating ... and it's a small room. Perhaps we shouldn't have visited during Restaurant Week. In any case, the food is always good.
Great views fantastic service outstanding food ambiance is really nice
Food portions seem to get smaller and smaller. Menu is limited and less than exciting. Better to eat at pizza/pasta bar instead of restaurant.
Service was non existent. Manager/hostess spent all their time hanging out and chatting with patrons at the bar and not attending to dinners sitting at tables in main restaurant. Waiter had to be searched for every time we needed something. Waited more than 20 minutes before being asked for drink order. My food (pasta with octopus) was almost cold and almost inedible. Salad and pasta had no salt-had to ask for that too.
View of 9/11 Memorial is stunning.
Restaurant is very hard to find if coming out of subway at WTC.
Bad value for dinner heard brunch is better. Don’t mind spending a lot for dinner but this place is way Too expensive for what you get.
The braised short ribs were delicious but my wife's risotto was only ok, not something to "write home about".
Waiter was great. Drinks and salad were good. Entrees were terrible. The gnocci were dense and over seasoned as though the potatoes were cooked with seasoning before going into the dough. The 3 types of tomato sauce tastes like 1 can of bad grocery store sauce. The mushroom paparadelle was in a butter mushroom sauce but it did not taste good.
You are better off going to the pizza/pasta restaurant in the main Eataly dining area. That food is always delicious! We went here because we have eaten at every other Eataly Eataly dining experience, including Flat Iron. We expected the main difference to be ambience. But no, I would much rather have eaten in the noisy and busy pizza/pasta restaurant area instead.
My favorite food genre is Italian and I have eaten at numerous Italian restaurants including local restaurants in Firenze, Italy. Something was completely off at Osteria.
Jorgue our waiter he is from Ecuador was fantastic. Engaging, caring devoted to our table just as he was with the rest of his other tables. Recommend great wines I just really enjoy his attentiveness. It is all about customer service especially being that there are so many options for us the customers.
Osteria della Pace is one of my fave, local go-to's with friends in from out of town. Mainly because of its location in/near the Occulus, a must-see for visitors, and inside of Eataly - one of my fave markets. It's laid back atmosphere, excellent service, dependable, delicious food make it an easy choice.
Congenial and pleasant. Waiters attentive and food tasty
We were celebrating my birthday and unfortunately we were overcharged. If management wants to contact me directly I’ll be glad to provide details of our experience.
The food was exceptional as was the wine. I had the provolone ravioli - amazing. Melts in ur mouth. The wine was pretty good too. The after let us taste a couple before we got to our wine, which was nice.
The service at this Eataly across all restaurants and on the floor too is just amazing. Very friendly and help you find what you are looking for. My best Eataly !
Service was not great and server did not tell us the specials.
Sorry food is always good but 2 hours for a bowl of pasta was way too long!
Eataly never disappoints and this was a great way to celebrate our engagement!!
For the price, the food should have been much better. Food was mediocre. Maybe it caters too much to the tourist.
Totally enjoyed the lunch experience. Our table was right by the window and we had a lot of light and views. The meal was nothing short of excellent. I had the eggplant parmagiana (the sauce and mozzarella were fresh and the eggplant was cooked perfectly) and a side of the broccoli rabe (spiced just right). My colleague had the Atlantic Cod and just loved it. All so delicious. Our hostess from Rome was delightful. I can't wait to come back for another lunch to try another entree. I'm thinking I will add a Lentil soup for starters.... Cheers!
high quality meal; perhaps little tricky to find on 3rd floor
very expensive and not exceptional
food :my eggplant was still frozen inside, too expensive also my husband's plate of pasta, the view was beautiful but the food was better at the deli counter!
This was a special holiday treat shared with a colleague and this restaurant delivered. Just be aware that once you get to Eataly it will take a few more minutes to get through the rest of the store and eating areas to find the restaurant.
The food and service were perfect. I don’t say that often, but in this case, it was. Be sure to leave some time afterward to shop for Italian delicacies. So much fun.
Food was competently made, but not commensurate with the $$$$ asked
The food was nothing special for the price. It was very loud, we could hardly hear each other talking. The service personnel and the hostess were extremely friendly and professional.
Excellent Service with great food; beautiful view.
This place is perfect for a special occasion. We brought our children since we were vacationing in NYC (don’t recommend bring them here). The staff was amazing jumping through hoops in order to please our kids. The food was delicious. Would love to go eat there again on a special occasion with just my wife.
I appreciated the suggestion of sitting in the private dining room for noise management bc it had not been booked :)
