This is a real find. Don’t let its proximity to the Duomo fool you into thinking it is just another tourist resturant with mediocre food. Wrong! I know everybody wants to have the bistecca florentine, but I,delved deeper into the menu and had the best Osso Bucco I have ever had—and I’m a bit of a connoisseur of the veal. I also had as a primo the seafood pasta and was pleasantly surprised at how many varieties it had. The decour isn’t much, though; but the food is superb.

Would rate higher than 5 if I could. Typically places near big tourist attractions are hit or miss but not del Fiore. Besides the incredible setting next to the cathedral, Daniele took great care of our group of 6. We originally asked to be sat outside for the view but the wind picked up and even though wine and starters had been served Daniele made it feel like no big deal for our group to move inside (not always easy with 6 people). The inside setting is cozy and feels like home. The food was exceptional. Everyone in our group was impressed and we’ve been eating our way through this city for a few days now. Don’t skip out on the tiramisu, best I’ve had in Italy on multiple trips here. Do yourself a favor and book a table, you won’t be disappointed.
