Osteria Costa - MGM National Harbor
Guests can opt to dine in the restaurant’s modern interior or al fresco in the garden patio which overlooks MGM National Harbor’s Conservatory.
Waited 1 hour for our first dish to arrive. People who arrived after us finished at least 29 minutes before we did. They said the orders got mixed up. Dessert was horrible. Tasted like it had been sitting for hours. This was a bad experience. Management came to apologize but offered no consolation. I won't be going back. I'll be surprised if they stay in business more than 1 year.
Had a wonderful time with my family, I have told my friends about it already
Had dinner before a show. We were a large group & our service & experience was perfect. Very professional & attentive staff. Our meals were delicious ... highly recommend a salad before your meal. Recommend 100%
Service was nonexistent. Never came back to refill water or to see how our food were. Asked for bread twice, never came. Branzino fish was excellent!!
This visit we sat at the bar where they make the pizzas in the brick oven... so fun to see the chefs in action! Friendly and knowledgeable. As always, Durriyyah took excellent care of us, she is by far the best of the best when it comes to friendly service and knowledge! She never misses a beat!
Was not impressed..food was fine but not outstanding for the price
Great service, great food
Seated 40 minutes late, everything seemed chaotic. Food was great because of the service we probably won’t return.
Our reservation was 30 minutes late. Once seated we were good to go. The spaghetti and meatballs were the best.
We had reservations and we still had to wait 45 min. It was not worth the wait. When they seated us, I noticed empty tables and chef table/bar had plenty of empty seats.
Very pleasant staff. Well thought out menu. Nice open ambiance.
Pre show dinner. Service was awesome, paced our food but got us out in time for the show. Everything was good from the shrimp and zucchini app to center salad to pizza and pasta. The lemon martini was delicious. Highly recommend.
Even tho we were there on NYE, we were well taken care of. The appetizers are better than the pasta. Ask for a table on the "patio" for the people watching.
Unpleasant experience rather not say why our first time experience was unpleasant, Servicexwas good
Great food and service! We’re becoming regulars...
Food was outstanding!! Service was excellent!! Overall, a great place. We will be back!
We were excited about going to this new restaurant at MGM National Harbor for our “date night”. Initially we were seated in a requested cozy couch corner which seemed perfect for our date, but it wasn’t long before the tables next to us were arranged to seat a party of twenty! We then asked to be seated in another area that would remain partially intimate...after a bit of bewilderment from the waiter, the manager eventually moved us. Upon being seated and looking over the menu, we ordered the tempura shrimp & zucchini appetizer to share .While the shrimp turned out fairly well, the zucchini chips were cut paper thin , soggy, and per portioned in a manner that left much to be desired. This was an issue because my date expressed that she was mainly interested in eating vegetables for an appetizer, as I would take the shrimp. We asked our server if we could have a few more zucchini chips however our request fell flat. Once we received our entrees (ravioli, and shrimp spaghetti) we realized that both entree’s were greatly under seasoned and lacking in flavor . We had to order marinara sauce to mix with the dishes in order to impart some sort of flavor. If that wasn’t bad enough, while we were trying to make it through this meal, we noticed one of the expo’s eating his apparent dinner while preparing food. Then he proceeded to walk through the restaurant while coughing into his shirt sleeve while apparently clearing his throat. This was a complete turn off and definitely something we wouldn’t expect to see in a restaurant of this stature . Overall we were highly disappointed with the evening. The food was sub par and over priced, the service left much to be desired, and even as we expressed unhappiness with the food, no type of “courtesy “ was ever extended to us. It’s sad that an establishment such as MGM National Harbor has restaurants such as Osteria Costa, that do not meet the “ MGM” brand of expectations.
Ate dinner here before a show. Although service was outstanding the margherita pizza tasted so salty it was inedible and the fettuccine was just ok. Expected more from an up scale Italian restaurant at the MGM.
We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and the attention to details and the caring attitude of the team was outstanding. Our server Durriyyah was excellent and the food was outstanding. We will be back!
Birthday celebration at this newest of the MGM Grand National Harbor. Food was fresh, perfectly prepared, service attentive and price is not overwhelming. The ambience could stand updating, nothing special or inviting about this space. I will try them again.
Good food, but lacking ambiance and very slow service.
Only issue we had with experience was that we had a 5 pm reservation and they were seating people in line without reservations ahead of us. Manager claimed to be picking people from line with reservations but that is not what happened. Many people were seated ahead of us without reservations. Which then seemed like it was pointless to make the reservation. Otherwise, the experience was awesome! Waiter and bus gentleman were very friendly and helpful!
The food was goo and the staff are great very attentive!! Our server Janeen was on her “A” game!! I will certainly go again and tell others.
I am sorry to write a negative review and think perhaps I would give them another chance because it is a lovely restaurant with potential to be very good but I would suggest not going there if you have a deadline of a show. I learned that having a reservation didn't mean anything. We waited 45' for a table even though we had a reservation and then 20-25' for our meal despite stating several times that we had a show to get to. We ended up getting our food 20 minutes before showtime. Needless to say it was not a relaxed dining experience and was a very expensive meal to have to eat so quickly.
Service was slow for bar and food. The food was salty and some of it was cold. Way overpriced for quality.
High top table even with a reservation, meal delivered to us after 1 hr and 20 min, after several complaints , water took 40 min, bread delivered to the table 5 min before our meal, 545 reservation and we just made it to our 8 pm show
Very good food, but service was average at best. Dinner and salad served together, very rushed. Not authentic servers.
Great location to have a tasty meal prior to a concert.
The food was good, the service was terrible. It took over two hours to get waited on, served and get out of there. We just made it to our show. The waiter was the invisible man. Plus, he kept forgetting everything like the stuff you ordered.
Excellent food, good atmosphere, great service, the wife and I loved it. The wife ordered two to go items to take home for the next day!
The food is very good and the service pleasant. However, the prices are very high for what one gets. $24 for a small bowl of pasta (I understand it is fresh pasta but not sure the price is justified) and $14 for a flat bread... Everything is a la carte so it's adding up pretty quickly.
We tried once but without reasonable prices, we won't go back.
This was such an unexpected surprise. I wasn't expecting such a delightful experience from an Italian restaurant at a casino, but it was truly delicious. They specialize in handmade housemade pasta, pizza and craft cocktails. The food was stellar, and the drinks were delicious. I can't say enough good things and can't wait to return!
It was my daughter and son-in-laws anniversary
The service and ambiance are very good. Unfortunately the food lacked flavor and the pasta is very oily.
Of the three major restaurants at MGM, Osteria Costa is by far my favorite. My wife and I shared a pasta dish ( linguine with yellow neck clams ) as an appetizer. The fresh pasta was very good and the perfect blending of all ingredients made this dish outstanding. For the entree, my wife ordered the veal... she was extremely pleased... very tender and tasty. I ordered the branzino... tasty, crisp skin over moist white fish with a perfect flavor. Along with a nice glass of wine, we also enjoyed excellent service.
We will return.
My reservation was for 10p. They offered to seat us at 11p. Ended up eating at bar. Bar servers were great. Remainder of staff very unfriendly. Good okay but overpriced for basic pasta dishes. Unlikley to return.
Hostess check-in was a disaster even with a reservation. Waited 20 min for a table and restaurant wasn’t full. Drinks were slow. They were out of appetizers. The only redeeming part was that our entrees were tasty.
Thought I was on a cruise. (Good thing) No less than 3 staff to wait on us. One to clear plates and keep table crumb free, one to keep drinks and bread served as needed and one to handle the food plates. We were asked by at least 3 management staff if everthing was to our satisfaction. So refreshing when so many customer facing staff act like they are doing you a favor to ask "what you want".
Thought we’d give Osteria Costa a try before the show. The host, Tahliq, was very accommodating in seating us. Our server, Mercedes, was simply the best! We started with the Red Sangria & Mist for cocktails. Very good & refreshing. For an appetizer, we shared the Fritto Misto, which was quite satisfying. We decided on the Lasagna and Spaghetti & Meatballs for our entrees (we usually try traditional items our first time at a restaurant - if they mess those up, we know not to return!). We were not disappointed!! Fully enjoyed our entrees, and didn’t walk away hungry! He had the Tiramisu for dessert, and ate every drop of it.
We’ll definitely be returning, and really want to thank Tahliq, Mercedes, Stephen and Andre, for making our day complete. We’ll see you again soon!
Red Sangria good
Fritto Misto appetizer
Apps and drinks were good. Pasta was just okay. Service was good but the music was way too loud. We asked them to turn it diem and they happily obliged. Good place for a drink and app at the bar.
