OSTERIA 106, AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN DINING SPACE IN MANHATTAN'S UPPER WEST SIDE.
OUR HOPE IS TO BRING A RELAXED, COMFORTABLE & TRULY MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE TO OUR GUESTS, PRESENTING A FRESH APPROACH TO THE
FAMILIAR LANDSCAPE OF ITALIAN CUISINE.
Everything is warm and cozy in this restaurant - the food, the service, and the ambiance. We LOVE this place.
Great place. Great food
The service was amazing. My friend was 30 min late to our reservation. The staff seated me and let me wait for her - a lot of places would not have seated me!
Always a winner! Lovely, unobtrusive service and fantastic food from a small kitchen. A true hole-in-the-wall, I love to bring out of town guests here because it is truly a New York neighborhood restaurant. A small wait for a table is not a problem because it means your doing something right!
Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious and service was great!
My nephew liked his pasta dish, but, unfortunately, I thought that my beet salad was plain and overpriced. The veal dish did not taste fresh, was very overcooked and tough. Of course, much of that dish was not eaten.
Osteria 106 is our neighborhood go to place and it's usually great. Lately, maybe because it has become so popular, the food and atmosphere has deteriorated somewhat. Last visit my pasta was barely warm and tasted like it had sat around for awhile. And while I understand it's a small place and turning tables is necessary, we felt rushed.
I should say it is Bad . LOL
But is GREAT.
Fresh Pasta,great main dishes.
Wife loves the tiramisu says it is the best she has ever had .
Small great restaurant must make a resavation .
no joke you will love it
Very good restaurant and welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Love love love this place in my neighborhood. Hate writing great reviews as it will fill up and I won't be able to get in again! ;-)
Service was very good and hospitable. Friendly throughout. Food very good and fresh tasting. We will be back for sure!!
Cute place, good food, fair price. Could have more wine (glass) selections.
Taking a dear friend visiting for the other side of the hemisphere, Melbourne and wanting hi to have a relaxed but spontaneous brunch experience in a setting that was both calming, cozy and rustic which is what this place brings with exemplary ease. It is most certainly my go to place for weekend brunch, business as well as casual intimate dinner with friends
I love everything about Osteria 106.
We are stalwart restaurant goers all around town and were thrilled to find this gem on 106th. Gracious and fun hosts who care deeply about their customers' experiences. The food was outstanding -- the salads, pastas, and everything in-between. And the prices were fair. I cannot wait to become a frequent visitor.
Our evening at Osteria 106 was beyond our expectations. We aren’t usually this far north in the city but are so glad we stopped at O106 for dinner last Friday night. Service was warm and attentive - owners Melissa and Maurizio are great hosts. The osso buco and tagliatelle bolognese were delicious and well portioned, and we also loved our appetizers - the grilled squid, the burrata and the fried artichokes. The lovely space was full of diners but noise was manageable. We will definitely be back.
Lovely UWS restaurant
We had friends visiting from out of town and took them to dinner at Osteria 106. It is cozy and welcoming, the kind of place you can absolutely imagine sharing a few bottles of wine and catching up. We ordered drinks and wine 15 minutes before ordering our meal. The waitress approached us, methodically, every 2-3 minutes to check in — super pestering. Not 7 minutes after we ordered, our entrees arrived — before the appetizers. We explained the hiccup, sent the food back and appetizers were served not long after. Following that, dinner arrived and I’m pretty sure my bronzino sat under a heat lamp, developing a tough fleshy layer. It seemed unfair that we should pay for the kitchen’s lapse by eating food that was held over due to their mistake.
I really want to like this place. Great menu, nice wine list. But they’ve got to let customers take the time to enjoy the meal. All in all you feel like an annoyance because they are so actively pushing you to eat dinner.
The food is pretty good. The staff is very nice. However we felt rushed through our meal. I’ll definitely go back & insist that we are served in a more leisurely manner next time.
I've eaten there twice and both meals were delicious. The service is friendly, and they're attentive but not intrusive.
Wonderful evening, as always
The staff was so lovely and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
The food was absolutely delicious. Everything we had was super fresh and well seasoned. The service was also great. I went for brunch and I’m already planning to go back for dinner.
Wonderful experience! Charming hostess Melisa made us feel at home. She even remembered us from a year ago! Had forgotten how good it was “Uptown” (as we live on west 94th🤪). Food and service excellent. Will be back soon.
My new favorite go-to place. Thrilled to find it. Intimate, warm, inviting. Amazing food and equally amazing service. After a harried day at work, it was lovely to sit and catch up with a friend over this amazing food and beautiful restaurant.
Amazing food, ambiance, and location. I wish the calamari was a little bit more though. You didn't get much for $17. Other than that, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive plus the food was delicious!
Love this place. Wonderful local spot.
Love the ambiance and the food. Portion size just right.
Solid, unfussy neighborhood Italian eatery with a thoughtful, reasonably priced wine list. The small, urban-rustic space is inviting but verges on loud when full. On our recent visit the service was attentive and efficient.
Seated exactly on time. We had a 6:30 reservation and while the place was half full when we arrived it was packed a mere 15 minutes later. Server was very good and greeting was warm. Service was VERY rushed however and I strongly felt they had pressure to turn the table rapidly. We were through in 1 hour flat and gone. Antipasto was good but nothing special (burrata, prosciutto, arugula) and one could get the same anywhere. Pasta was delicious. My steak and husband's fish were good but nothing great and I felt the steak was not high quality (sirloin?). I had higher expectations given the glowing reviews.
Very enjoyable evening. Great food. Lovely menu. Nice service. Had to wait quite a long time. Would definitely go back
I am a regular. Artichokes, burrata, tortallini, all good.
Every time I have gone here I have my mind set on a particular menu item, only to be tempted away by one of their specials. I have never regretted that choice. The staff is lovely and the vibe is lively but not too noisy.
This was our second brunch at Osteria 106, a great neighborhood place. Reasonable prices for brunch, and very good pasta carbonara! We also tried a pitcher of Rossinis, a nice alternative to the usual Bellinis and Mimosas. We had a last minute addition, 7 people instead of 6, but they seemed happy to accommodate us.
Amazing Italian experience. Dark, cozy quant atmosphere. Fine innovative dining but not too formal. Top notch service. This is a win on the upper west side. Have been 3 times; never disappoints.
This is the second time I've eaten at Osteria 106. One of our party has been there multiple times. We will all be back. The people are extremely pleasant. All our choices were excellent (octopus, meat balls, cheese cake) except for the veal piccata, which was a bit lacking. Very nice atmosphere.
We had to wait a half hour for our reserved table.
Osteria 106 serves real Italian food. Fresh, high-quality ingredients--simply prepared to bring out their natural flavors. Real Italian food is not fussy or elaborate. Example: Pappardelle with white truffles. Al dente pappardelle boiled and then transferred to a saucepan with a butter and parmigiana reggiano sauce. Swirl the pasta in the saucepan, put it on the plate, and shave the white truffle over it. Un piatto favoloso! No need to put more cheese on it, just eat it. Any, this charming little spot with rustic decor has great atmosphere, wonderful and personable service, a good wine list, and of course, the aforementioned great food.
My favorite place to try everything on the menu - so far have had pasta with sausage, cod with spinach and roasted potatoes, white truffle pasta, mint snap pea salad, delicious wines, and desserts- service is beyond even Danny Meyer restaurants and has a very homey feel and decor.
Wonderful Italian food on the Upper West Side.
