We were greeted and seated right away. The ambiance was pleasant and Jazz music was piping through the speakers. The menu has a good selection and the specials sounded enticing. The service was spot on. The food was delicious. The dessert selections were amazing. The espresso ice cream was a favorite!
Terrific as usual :-) Love this place. Always a good time
Outstanding food and service! Every time we are in the city we make it a point to eat here.
Great food, great ambience, a little pricy but you get a good product.
was a wonderful place hut we did feel very rushed for having spent $200 for 2 people.. it should have been more relaxed for us . there were tables open but we were still rushed
Great food and service
Absolutely love this place. We’ve been going here for years and the food is always amazing. The staff is very kind and hospitable and the decor is perfect.
We love to bring friends here for their first time. Every time we do, they've loved it.
Consistently good food. Charming setting. I'm so glad I live nearby.
In the Harlem area, looking for a last-minute reservation. Great food and service, absolutely no way you would be disappointed.
Good food but
Great food although the wine was definitely overpriced. Hostess (owner?) very gregarious and helpful.
Great food and attentive and cheerful staff. Duck Breast Calamari and Branzino are awesome.
I had the lobster fettuccine special and it was great. Everyone else had a positive experience as well.
One of our favorite restaurants. Food is always outstanding. Service is excellent. Great place to have dinner and conversation with friends.
106 is always really really good - but last night was EXCELLENT.
Great neighborhood spot, we always bring visitors for the food and ambience. Terrific service.
Always friendly Manager/owner when we go there. Food is delicious and consistent. Highly recommend
We sat outdoors for our meal. The setting was unassuming but comfortable enough. Since it was a busy Saturday evening, the service was a bit slow, especially until we got menus and ordered. The food was good to very good, as was the service. My one caveat to future diners: there was a huge poodle right next to me. No sooner had the couple with the poodle left than another couple with TWO enormous dogs sat on the other side of our table. Though all the dogs were well behaved, dining with huge dogs is not everyone's cup of tea. Not ours either.
Excellent well prepared Italian fare
Osteria 106 is an amazing spot! Great food, service and ambiance. Always recommend to friends and visitors.
We set outside and it can get noisy. But it was a lovely evening and we enjoy our conversation and the food. I will definitely be back.
This is a wonderful restaurant I’ve eaten there many times and continue to be surprised at how excellent the food is. Service is great. Would highly recommend it!
This is a lovely, high quality neighborhood restaurant -- fine food and attentive service.
it was a perfect dinner, as always.
I just regret you dont offer the Chicken or Veal paillard on the menu.
What a discovery! We had a great dinner. It's the perfect neighborhood restaurant; we plan to come back often. And our waitress was wonderful - engaged, friendly, professional. A delight.
This is currently my favorite neighborhood restaurant, but good enough to be a destination restaurant too. The fried artichokes, sugar snap salad, and squash pasta are all superb.
lovely neighborhood restaurant with great food and service. outside seating often very noisy for to city busses lingering in front.
A wonderful little spot right in our neighborhood. Amazing food, friendly service, great wine. We go for both of our birthdays every year.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food and staff. The best Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side.
Great neighborhood place. We had a good meal and service was excellent.
We had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, and on our first visit our waitress made us feel incredibly unwelcome that I felt strongly enough about the experience to write a review. I let her know we had a reservation and the first thing out of her mouth was a very unfriendly and forcefully unwelcoming demand of “outside or inside.” She seemed to sense our hesitation and frustration at her tone and tried to modulate her demeanor, unsuccessfully in my opinion. Throughout the night she shifted between acting like we were her best friends and people about whom she couldn’t care less, with disconcerting bursts of laughter and a just barely held onto sense of decorum. It made the dining experience incredibly uncomfortable, enough so, that we very likely will not be returning. I will give credit to the food. It was certainly good. The butternut squash ravioli with sage was heavenly. The Trofie with pesto was not heavenly but good nonetheless. The Branzino special was good, but the portion size of the dishes overall for their price left something to be desired. All things considered, we left with appetites and an experience unsatisfied. In a place like New York City, where options abound, it’s important to create a complete dining experience that makes every customer who walks through the doors feel welcome and appreciated. Customer service is as much a commodity as well-prepared food. Unfortunately this dining experience did not provide that.
Food was less than satisfactory and the service was not Hospitable. Overall disappointing.
We have always loved this restaurant, from the time when it was Gastronomia Culinaria (or VV). This time we sat outside, on Saturday night, and it was so loud that it seemed like something out of a Woody Allen movie. Of course we realize that this in no fault of the restaurant, and that they cannot control on-street noise, but the noise level was almost comical. Busses! Ambulances! Drag Cars! Motorcycles! Cars blasting music! Yikes it was nonstop.
We will return to Osteria 106 soon, and are very glad to have it in our neighborhood.
Great outside tables, excellent pastas and salads, very friendly servers.
Love, love this restaurant.
Osteria is a cozy and beautifully appointed restaurant (brick walls, attractive lighting) and the food was fresh and delicious. Definitely a nice place to visit from time to time.
Run don’t walk! Great food and great ownership. Best place for a neighborhood friendly restaurant.
Fabulous neighborhood place. Wonderful atmosphere and service, delicious food, nice wine list. What’s not to love?
