Great place to eat before Astros’ ballgame!
Very accommodating hostess. We had a 6pm rez after the baseball game but we got there early and they kindly seated us right away.
Wait staff a little harried/distracted. Maybe too many tables per waiter /or more training needed. They seem to have trouble with large crowds. Odd since they are right across the street from the baseball stadium. They need to do better.
Waiter forgot my salad and only brought it after main course was served when I finally caught him to ask about it. We’ve been here many times and always the same issue with service. Yet we will continue to go here as food is good and prices reasonable.
Pizza was excellent. Lasagna was so-so, but sauce had great flavor.
Great food pregame. Salads pasta fresh fish. NOT ballpark grub. Meatball and the TOTs apps are a must
The polenta tots where delicious and the fish was perfectly prepared. Thanks to Christopher who took great care of us and provided excellent suggestions and service. We will be back.
The food was great. High recommendation.
My favorite place to eat especially before Astro’s game!!!
Awesome place and atmosphere. Great location next to the ball park. Didn't break the bank and the food was fancy!
We ate dinner with friends before an Astro's game. The service was excellent and we were not rushed in any way to make room for other customers. Food was great. Always a great and moderately priced restaurant to eat at.
Great food but mediocre service.
Great place for lunch, we had a fantastic HRW meal for the final day. It was a nice casual way to wrap up August's Houston Restaurant Week. Highly recommended for their specials in general. If you are going when there is a game on make reservations
Perfect and chill for a early birthday dinner
Great place to eat but be sure to catch it when there is not an Astros game if you want a quiet dinner. This is though a great place to watch the game and meet people. We went for restaurant week and the menu was perfect. Plus they have Frozen Bellinis for $5 on the HH menu.
I went there for lunch prior to an astros game. Was was able to get Right in and sit at the bar. Ordered a drink quickly because I was on a tight schedule. I had the fried polenta which was tremendous and they gave me some of their spicy dipping sauce. I also got the gumbo. I thought just OK I thought as it really soupy and not like other gumbo's I have hsd before but it was OK. The service was great. nice crowd of astros fans there. I will return.
Great place for lunch - always accommodating staff, excellent appetizers and main courses that are just the right size.
Brunch before Astros game
Went here for restaurant week and was a little disappointed. The caprese salad was two small slices of tomato and a tiny piece of cheese. Husband ordered the steak and it was not a good cut. Was very chewy and fatty.
Service was okay.
Ambiance was very nice
Although I ordered my burger medium well-done, it was VERY dry. I would've rated the burger well-done. Waitstaff was moderately attentive. Nothing to draw me to return.
We have tried to get in here at least 3 other times, but it was always full. This time we went super early before the Astros game and got in. Even so, I think there were only 2 servers in the entire main section of the restaurant which made the service very slow. I wasn’t crazy about my caprese salad...the whipped burrata had an odd texture and lacked the creaminess I normally enjoy. Only a few tomato wedges too...just not what I would call a salad presentation. However, my wife really enjoyed her pasta dish, and was unable to finish it. Since we were going to the game she couldn’t take it with her, so she was bummed. I won’t be pressing to return...lots of other options I prefer.
Excellent early dinner before Astros game. We’ll definitely plan a repeat!
Great food, great service... very loud as we had the Astro’s crowd
Nice place to have dinner before the Astro's game.
Gourmet food before the game. Our 4th visit and it always pleases the palate. Salad & pasta plates were scraped clean. Salmon dishes were confusing — different but identical looking — and both were excellent. White wine could have been colder but overall it’s nearly perfection.
Always a great time and food is delicious, especially the polenta tots and marinara!
Great option for Italian food before an Astros game.
We got seated immediately. However, menu had incorrect information of what was in the food. For ex: ordered a Kristalla salad which came with bacon and didn’t say that on the menu. Not everyone eats bacon. Chicken piccata came with lemon caper sauce didn’t indicate any dairy and not everyone can have dairy. No apology, or can I get you the menu to order something else. In fact when I spoke with the manager she started arguing with me. Customer service is key and this restaurant completely failed in my personal opinion. Definitely wouldn’t go back or recommend.
We have been here several times and we always enjoyed the friendly staff and good food.
Recently we went there for Houston restaurant week. It was the worst service ever. We had barely opened bottle of wine and starting to take a bite of our appetizer, when the main course arrived .... it was as if the restaurant is trying to turn tables as quickly as they can. And then they served the same main course which was prepared lot earlier ... it was cold and not appetizing..... we will rethink whether to visit here again or not.
Great Food and great service! The HRW menu was a great selection as well. I would recommend to anyone!
Had a girls night out for HRW2019......our service was great, salad was great, truffle fries were yummy! Prosciutto and melon was diff.....chicken dish and steak were good! Salmon was sitting on a bed of cold orzo, kind of dry and really needed some type of sauce, apple crostada dessert wasn’t warm enough to melt the scoop of ice cream on top👎🏾
Everything is great about this place but the wait staff isn’t very attentive. Last two times I’ve gone the waiter forgot my second drink order and I never received it.
Great pasta, great service, loved the Restaurant Weeks menu!
Beautiful space but the food was not impressive and the service was subpar
Great wood-fired pizza. The dining room was comfortable.
Great place to go out a date. Wished I had remembered her name but I love our waiter. We ordered the three course meal along with the creamy shrimp pasta and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection! Although a little expensive, I was prepared to pay for it.
The food was amazing but the portions can be small if you like to eat a lot. It was pretty loud but again I went on a Saturday night so it was busy. Overall I would definitely go again!
Excellent pizza and service. Our server was excellent.
Nice location and ambiance. Food was mediocre and service was slow especially considering how few people there were. Waiter had no wine suggestions for our meal.
Enjoyed a very nice lunch during Restaurant Week. Food was delicious. Service was truly outstanding. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Nice to discover this place thanks to Houston Restaurant Weeks. Everything our group of four had was great.
We came here for Houston Restaurants Week. The food was good, especially the Polenta Tots and veggie pizza. My friend enjoyed everything, but felt the burger was a bit bland and not special. To add, service was a bit lacking. Our server disappeared after he gave us the check, and we had to get up and give him the check with our cards.
Great place for brunch before the ball game.
I would recommend the chicken picante.
Very tasty and a great price/
