Located 10 mins south of Port Douglas, Ospreys Restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Osprey’s is a quality dining destination popular with locals, visitors and overnight guests of Thala Beach Nature Reserve. Head Chef Krisztian Borbas curates a seasonal menu inspired by the tropics.

Join us in the treetops taking in panoramic views looking towards Port Douglas and across the sparkling waters of the Great Barrier Reef.

The view across the ocean and mountains is stunning - worth the visit for that alone! The beautiful restaurant, amazing food full of the best ingredients and super service made it one of the loveliest restaurants I have ever visited. Thank you for providing this perfect oasis in a sanctuary of nature

Seafood platter seriously overpriced for frozen, bland and poorly cooked produce. Meat platter of equal value was overcooked, dry and tasteless. Very disappointing quality and value

We were running late due to road works and land slides on our way from Cairns but the restaurant was kind enough to accommodate us in the last minute. The service was amazing too !! The ambience and the views were out of this world Thanks

What a lovely place to have lunch. We watched the birds bathe in a little bath situated on top of a tree right in front of our beautiful view of the ocean and treetops. The food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Overall an amazing experience. Thank you.

We are locals and had visited Osprey's regularly up to about 2 years ago when I had a terrible experience with a grey, overcooked, piece of barramundi which I really should have sent back. However, we decided we simply would not come back. The limited lunch menu was also a factor. However, we had heard good reports recently and decided that we should give it another go and wow what a difference! Now there is a more extensive lunch menu so that regulars have something different to choose from on visits. The staff were very helpful and the food and wine superb, I highly recommend it. Just one small thing - the furniture is looking dated and to be honest when you are looking at hip surgery in the not-too-distant future the wooden chairs very uncomfortable.

A magnificent setting with excellent food, friendly service and sensational views. The seafood platter to share is always brilliant.

Buggy picked us up from carpark avoiding a lovely uphill walk to restaurant, food was delicious & generous serves. We were seated in middle table & waitress moved us to a table with an amazing water view when other guests left. She did this without us asking & was a lovely gesture as moved before our meal arrived. Was lovely to see the faciities etc….if staying at resort. Highly recommended.

Having lunch at Osprey is a beautiful experience, the food is I think exceptional. I couldn't fault the service. The views and the bird life is amazing. I love this place.
