The food was subpar, fried chicken was dry, collard greens were incredibly salty, no cocktail sauce or catsup, the "crab" and corn fritters were just hushpuppies, no crab in sight or taste, and the gumbo was burnt and the rice was undercooked. Our server was great, but the food was terrible overall. It was very disappointing overall. I did not expect it to be as good as NOLA food, but we were both very unhappy with the food and the wine in a can was ridiculously overpriced.
We went to Oskar Blues for the first time yesterday. We were greeted by the hostess and were seated right away as we had a reservation. She warned us that it may take some time because they became extra busy all of a sudden. It wasn’t too long before the waitress brought us water and took our order. We sat near the kitchen which was a very busy but organized system. The food didn’t take too long to get. it did not disappoint! The shrimp Po’ boy was huge and tasted amazing!
The chef, Chance, came and said hello to us while we were there. Very impressed and we will be back!!
The food wasn't anything special. My blackened chicken ceaser salad came with almost no dressing and the chicken wasn't blackened at all. It was just marinated in something weird.
Service here was absolutely terrible. The restaurant was almost empty but our server disappeared for 20 minutes after we asked for “2 more minutes to look over the menu”. We had to flag him down to say we’re ready to order, which he was not pleased about. When our food arrived (which was mediocre at best) one of our meals (oysters) was missing. We asked about it and were told “they are shucking them right now”. We were within eyesight of the oyster shucking station and no one was there. We asked again for the oysters and were told rudely “he’s working on them right now” at which point someone did walk over and start slowly shucking the 6 oysters while casually chatting with another customer. The rest of us were almost finished with our meals and the oyster were still be shucked with absolutely no urgency at all! I walked over and politely told the employee that we were waiting for those as they were someone’s main entree. He rudely said “I’m working on them!” By this point we’d been in the restaurant for almost 45 minutes. When our server brought the oysters he made a BIG deal about how delicious they were going to be and how they were worth waiting for, with no apology for the delay. My husband ordered a 2nd beer at this point which—you guessed it—didn’t arrive. When we asked about it we were told “were changing the keg!” The attitude of everyone we interacted with here was one of a put-out 14 year old being asked to clean his room. As we left, the server chased us out the door to ask us if we’ve “ever had any food service experience” (which incidentally we have) because he was not satisfied with his tip. Unbelievable! We will NEVER return.

Great beer selection, great food, good music
Loved the waiter he was super nice and recommended good stuff. The wings tasted great but all the sauces were too spicy but we still loved them. It would be nice if one sauce was mild. I think my heart rate went up but it was like adrenaline. I loved it. The Cesar salad didn't have much chicken in it, was a bit disappointed. The ipa beers were great!
My friends and I came here for Cajun food. The crab cake was made with a delicious sauce inside. The gumbo was a dark, rich version. The shrimp and grits was good and a big portion. Unfortunately, the turkey reuben was way too salty. We think the chef must have been smoking something and put in too much salt:) I'm sure it isn't usually made this way. But the highlight was how our server handled it! She apologized about 4 times and even the manager came over to say "sorry". They really cared! We did order something quick to prepare to replace the reuben and that came out quickly. Then, they deducted a meal from our bill as a "customer satisfaction" credit. They couldn't have done more to make it right for us. We were all very impressed! Also have to mention that the selection of beers is amazing.
We ordered an artichoke dip appetizer which took a long time to get to our table and then didn't have all of the dippers mentioned on the menu so those had to be brought to us separately. The restaurant wasn't busy, but our wait staff person could have been a little more attentive. Thus our main dishes came on the heels of the appetizer. Everyone said their burger, sandwich or other food was good. The artichoke dip was a little disappointing. Apparently it was a new menu. The beer was wonderful - the very best part.
Date night before the game!
I’m not sure if this is the Oscar blues brewery or another pub with the Oscar blues name. The original one in Longmont was creative and set a high bar. This restaurant food is lacking. There’s nothing special to try that really uses their beer. Also oddly enough they have a good selection of beers. However, most of them are not Oscar blues beers. Guess that could be good and bad. Service was also sub par. They didn’t have enough staff to even handle the place being half full. I really wanted to like this place. I’ll just drive 40 minutes to go to original.
Food on a Sunday was awful. It took a long time to get out food and it tasted not amazing.
It’s a block from hour apt but this is the first time be eaten there. The food we had was excellent. My husband had a BBQ platter with dirty rice and Mac and cheese he loved it. So getting to me just let me say when I order my food it’s lie I’m dictating a dam prescription. I do not like anything spicy I grew up in an Irish Catholic home in New York and the only spice we ever had was salt and pepper and trust me that was more for company. The sever was great he took my older and didn’t make me feel like I was crazy which obviously I am. My food came out and it was perfect just the way I wanted it. I would definitely recommend this place great food fair price can’t go wrong.
I was a bit underwhelmed by this Oskar Blues location. I’ve been to the original location multiple times with very good experiences every time so I expected the same in downtown Denver. Unfortunately our server was pretty forgetful with forgetting my wife’s drink and then completely forgetting our appetizer. My food wasn’t quite up to par either. I had fish and chips and I felt like the fish was mushy and the breading was super crunchy. The ambiance was decent and I really liked the decor. Sadly, I probably won’t waste my time at this location again.
My favorite bar in Denver, awesome people and cool downstairs for live music. Live close and it is my only go to. Food is pricy but that is the only con!
Good service and super team. The waitstaff and management always seem eager to please. Fun spot, casual and easy to just grab a bite.
Originally selected this place because I wanted to try Oskar Blues beers I couldn't find in Texas, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the roux was for the boudin balls and the crawfish etouffee. 40 taps for beers meant plenty of choices, and the vibe was relaxed.
It seemed like perhaps this place had really high reviews more for the experience/ambiance? We were pretty let down (foodwise). We had a group of 6, and everyone's food was "ok"... most items were over cooked and over priced. The drinks (cocktails) were "ok". Our server was really awesome and attentive though. We won't be back for food... but maybe for a band and just beers?
On a quiet Tuesday you'd expect service to be good, but it was excellent and Daniel really looked after us. The food was good, with good sized portions. As you'd expect, the choice of beer was excellent. Enjoyable night out, would go again. Only downside was it was on the expensive side.

For a place advertising for Mardi Gras, there wasn't a whole lot of Mardi Gras going on except for a view beads here and there. They didn't recommend any theme drinks or food, and didn't seem to be so busy for the amount of time drinks and food took. That being said, everything was lovely. It just wasn't the experience we were expecting.
Food was outstanding and service quite good. Great selection of beer and menu had very interesting selections.

Enjoyed our meal. Came here early with our kids. They loved the kids rib basket and we enjoyed the happy hour oysters. It's a fun bar atmosphere and at least early while we were still family friendly. Beers were great and a surprisingly well thought out if limited wine selection. Tablas Creek is a winner.
We came in on the grand opening night so knew it would be crazy, and it was- our server was a sweetheart and checked in with us often! We had the Fri gush/Chips special and it was delicious! We will be back! Love having this place in downtown Denver!
Oskar Blues Denver was a great find. When we went they weren't officially open yet, they recently had a Grand opening. The food was great, BBQ with a southern influences. They have a great local beer list featuring a lot of Oskar Blues beers. We were excited to go and will go back to see them in full swing.
As well they have a lower level where the menu, we were told, is different than upstairs and live entertainment.
