Oskar Blues- Colorado Springs
Great service and environment. Food got mixed reviews from my group.
Cornbread was amazing. Gumbo was ok but rice was undercooked. Those who got the burgers and salads enjoyed their entrees.
I’m just sad this place can’t step up. It’s a great location with lots of space- but I’m continually disappointed with the food and service is not far behind. No wonder it was practically empty tonight.
I’ve given my last try. No more. There are so many more places with really great food and service. Just walk on by. :(
Was day after big bar night so we’re out of a lot of drafts, but made do and it was great!
I love love LOVE Oskar Blues! The Trustafarian burger is by far my favorite. Mmmm goat cheese! Love the beer there as well. Definitely a must try!!!
Our party of 4 Friday night enjoyed our experience. The Oskar sodas were refreshing. Our food was delicious with the exception, I prefer corned beef on my Ruben. Thought I’d give it a try! Next time try something different! Nice atmosphere!
Valentines dinner with my wife. The cuisine is New Orleans southern style and was awesome. The poutine dream for an appetizer was excellent. My wife got the royal reds with grits and I got the yaya fried chicken with waffles. Both were absolutely awesome. The brownie sundae was over the top and make sure you get it with the bacon candy... yes I said bacon candy.
Dinner was a very good value considering cocktails, dinner and dessert.
Don’t pass it up.
Very good food and great service. Best happy hour menu of the downtown beer pubs.
It's definitely a loud place, lots of sports playing on multiple TVs. It's a place for comfort food. Although I was able to try the beet salad and really liked it. Everyone else at the table was very happy with their chicken and waffles and hamburgers. They have a great selection of beer and its a fun place for a party and for bigger groups.
Wonderful!! Great dining experience and the half-price happy hour appetizers and discounted beer prices made it even better. LOVED the burgers, and Bret was an awesome server!
I would recommend this location to friends based on other experiences there, this one was not that impressive. Our service was below what I would expect from Oskar Blues and the food was really not that great either - which is a shame, I had brought business partners with me to lunch there and mentioned how yummy it was. Meh this time. I didn't finish any of my food - I nibbled on the semi acceptable beets/apple salad that I had added chicken to and when I asked for a side of fries, I got an entire platter that was maybe the best part of my meal, just an insane amount for a side. The server disappeared when we needed refills for our beverages and sauces, a friend had the beer can chicken and it was so dry, he NEEDED the sauce to finish it.
I have been before and it was top notch, so I am not going bail on you guys, I'll prolly be back - I am just not impressed this time, way below your normal and I hope this isnt a pattern :-(
Awesome Colorado Springs Brewery! We went for my husbands bday and I’m so glad we did. The server was funny and energetic. The food and drinks were equally impressive. We will definitely be back!
If you eat out in Colorado Springs only once, this is the place to go. The food was fantastic and the service was better. Great casual environment and reasonable prices. The Parmesan Truffle Fries are a must order appetizer.
I didn’t think the food was very good. My husband had the jambalaya and I had a pork sandwich. Neither were great.
Great food as always but service is better during the day than evening.
Nice place, lots of space and food and drinks were awesome! Price was pretty good too. They have a second floor with games, we did not get a chance to play, but will definitely be back!
Wanted a nice Christmas eve dinner and was very disappointed. When the waitress took our appetizer away she asked if we wanted to keep our forks, they were small salad forks and when asked if there were bigger clean forks became annoyed. The cheese grits came in a bowl with cheese on top that wasn't even melted!! My husband's mac and cheese had no cheese. The waitress finally checked on us and I had to ask for a knife for my short rib. We were not impressed with this place at all!!
Terrific venue for the family, and the food was also quite tasty!
My boyfriend and I came in for my birthday on Saturday night. I was impressed with our whole experience and will definitely be back. Loved it.
Excellent service & food
Wonderful food. Very attentive service. Will definitely go back!!
Service was very friendly and attentive. The food mediocre and in some cases cold. Of course, the beer was outstanding.
Not my first rodeo at Osmar Blues (been to this one & the Longmont one) and I’m usually very impressed...this brunch did not disappoint. One amazing crab cake Benedict and many, many mimosas (they are bottomless after all) - I declared it one of the best brunch’s ever! So good and with a group of four, everyone was satisfied!!!
Very disappointed. Drink selection outside of micro brew was dismal. Ended up with a can of wine, that was lacking in taste & ridiculously expensive. Service was excellent but service alone is not enough to bring us back.
Food was excellent! Portions were generous. Beer selection was great and they allow you to taste first. I was disappointed there was no dessert on the menu though?! I will look forward to trying something else next time.
Outstanding beer and great food. Definite go to place!
The food is always good, the portions are large and the beer is cold. Great decor and the staff is attentive.
Great beer selection. Great food. Sat at a nice both in the main bar area.
Food was good, more of a bar atmosphere but we did bring our teenage kids with us and we were fine. I ordered the BBQ sandwich and it was super good. I didn’t love the coleslaw on top and the BBQ sauce was tangy, which I’m more of a smoky and sweet BBQ sauce person. But the meat was super tender and juicy.
Wasn’t sure what to expect. Lots of space, hence lots of folks. Food was ok but for the price, a bit much. Was our first time so we will chalk this time up to inexperience. We may go back for a second try.
BB King burger was tasty and huge, but the fries looked to be bits and pieces from the bottom of the basket. Husband's mussels with sausage and fries were deemed great. There were enough fries in the bowl to easily satisfy 5 people. Wow! The beer selection was very good and those selected were tasty. The place is lively. I want to know, though, why restaurants insist on interspersing couples with small, screaming children throughout the place. Why not put them all in one section? BTW, not just Oskar Blues, but there were plenty of examples there.
The chicken and waffles were amazing and if you get the nachos they are huge!!
Great beer selection / nice choice of food for everyone
The service was ok but not overly friendly. The food was a solid average - I had the jambalaya which was uninspired from a seasoning and preparation perspective. My wife's burger was better, relatively speaking, but compared to some of the dedicated burger restaurants it wasn't anything to write home about. All in all, we didn't have a bad experience, but it wasn't worth driving to and parking in downtown Colorado Springs.
Great venue with excellent food!
We tried Oskar Blue on recommendation from one of our kids. Since we were in from out of town we were sight seeing before our reservation. Because of this I kept changing our Open Table reservation as I was not sure of our exact time of arrival. When we arrived the table they had available was a high top. Since we had reservations they wanted to seat us at a better table and the hostess team quickly figured something out to make sure our party of 5 was comfortable.
The food was fantastic and even our pickiest eater who never likes to try new restaurants decided to order the fish n chips which he loved! They also have a Colorado craft beer menu which gave us a chance to try some new brews!
Definitely worth a visit.
Had the pulled pork with slaw, collard greens and a bunch more around the table and all were very tasty! Beer was great as well.
Took our friends from San Antonio out for dinner and they loved it. Great food, lots of room, and great service. Parking downtown is crazy, but it's worth trying to find a place to park, and you can make reservations.
This place is huge! We had no idea it had so much room! Lots of beers and craft cocktails as well as a great menu.
The patio was super - and secluded in the back of the building. We’ll be back for sure!
