This is one of our favorite casual dining restaurants in downtown COS. We were so happy when we heard that they'd reopened after all the rumors swirling that they'd not come back after Covid-19.
The service, as always, was terrific. Aiden is just so much fun! The food was very good, too.
The only issue right now is that the menu is extremely limited. Having just opening back up, it is understandable. We were there for lunch right at or a little past noon. There were 3 or 4 people out on the patio, and the 6 of us (2 adults and 4 kids). One other person came in, alone.
With it being so slow, their awesome, full menu just isn't sustainable or cost effective right now.
I guess the take home is that we need to support our favorite places so that they can get things back to normal. I, for one, am certainly looking forward to that!
Enjoyed lunch for 4. Food was excellent. Portions appropriate. Service was spotty, but acceptable. Would have liked more checks from wait staff.
Made a reservation. Got in very quickly. Then it took over an hour to get any of my food. It wasn't until we told them we were leaving in 15 minutes that they brought out a plate of food for us. And one of the dishes wasn't even what we ordered.
They were out of a lot on the menu. Our server was putting up with a lot from fellow staff but we excellent to us. The food was good my meal was amazing but everyone else’s was “just okay”.
We made reservations for a 40th birthday celebration for a party of 12. When we arrived they had two tables which would have half our party back to back, we had to move the tables to make one table. Then the server comes to get drinks and informs us their menu is changing the following week and over half the appetizers and 4-5 items on the dinner menu are unavailable. Several of us received incorrect food orders and drink orders. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price of moderately priced restaurant. On a bright note, after dinner we went downstairs and they band was great, however the service at the bar was incredibly slow.
Overall we made our experience great because we were out to celebrate and have fun. When we first arrived at our scheduled reservation we were told that another party was sat at our table because the hostess double booked several reservations but that wasn’t super bad because they were able to seat us again in about 10-15 minutes. Several foods we wanted on the menu they were out of so that was kinda disappointing since that was about 4 separate meals. Some of our cocktails were in glasses and some were in plastic cups which was a bit odd. But we still enjoyed it very much the food we had tasted great, the bathrooms were very clean and well kept and the bar and food was pretty quick with how busy they were and we enjoyed playing pool downstairs. This is a place I would come to again and recommend to friends. We just came out on a Friday and that’s probably why they ran out of food and glasses but no big deal!
The Service was Awesome! The food was sooooo good! I had the Surf & Turf that was on the special Valentine’s Day menu. The pretty in Pink drink was very good too. Loved the ambience of the restaurant. Also, loved the cream cheese filled bacon wrapped jalapeños. Would highly recommend Oskar Blues!
Our server, Evans, was one of the nicest, most professional servers I’ve ever had!! Food and ambience was great. I plan to come back.
Fun night out with a party of 10. We could carry on a conversation. Our waiter was very good and the food was very good as well. Everyone had a nice time catching up at our mini reunion.
Based on previous visits I would and have recommended Oskar Blues. On my Sunday January 12 visit, the experience was deplorable. The waiter was extremely rude and dismissive. When asked for a utensil, he made a huge deal about bringing one. Apparently the utensils under some trash on a dirty dish were what he expected us to use. Right or wrong bring a fork and move on. If that is how you treat a customer, then I will go elsewhere.
The food was so disappointing. All three other guests at our table said it was the worst bar food they had eaten. My sandwich was great, beer was yummy and the space is so cool but we won’t be back.
Highly recommend for good service, very tasty food at a good price. Parking downtown can be challenging but its worth the patience in finding a spot for getting to a great dining experience.
Couldn’t be happier. Had a reservation for 20, with kids and parents. They called to confirm! Beer and food was great- great selection and taste. Service was fast and server was great- kind and courteous. Great atmosphere for adults and kids. Live music was going on, which we were not in the mood for, but we were able to sit far enough away for zero impact. We will be back!
Get the seafood jambalaya!
Light parade tradition
A relatively large gathering of friends can be a logistics challenge. Our evening was no exception after I made reservations for 7 and ended up with 10 at the table. The staff handled the adjustment quickly and efficiently. Drinks and food were delivered quickly and closing out our separate checks was discreet and efficient at the end of the night. Great service, great food, and a great beer list make it an easy choice for any gathering.
We had a wonderful first experience! It is very noisy so this is not the place to go on a romantic date; however, it is wonderful for a social gathering!
Our retired teachers’ group enjoyed our luncheon at Oskar Blues. Although we usually have a much larger group this month there were only five of us. Hopefully one of these months we can come back with our bigger group. Thanks for a nice afternoon!
Service was super slow. We had to ask for water several times and never received it. My food wasn't the way I ordered it.
Our server would disappear for 20 minutes at a time. The food was over spicy and burnt.
The food was great but the service lacked. Our waitress called out my sister for not telling her she was a vegetarian after her salad came with bacon.
My only complaint is with the basement atmosphere. There was a great band playing but the room only had about 10 stools and 4 tables. It also needs a major facelift. Not fair to the talent to not have an inviting space for them and for the customer.
The roof was leaking profusely in a couple areas and in the bathroom. Instead of closing the section the water was leaking in, they sat us, among others in it, although there were other areas with open tables. Poor management decision.
We made a reservation due to having training close by, the place was very empty when we arrived. It took 15 minutes for some drinks to come out. After food orders were taken it took over 30 minutes to get food. We weren't able to enjoy lunch having a short time to hurry and eat what we could, pay our ticket and head back. Food was not bad but I would have enjoyed it more had they not taken forever!!!
Great food and drinks. I will definitely go back again.
Great food and great beer selection. The employees were very helpful and recommended breweries in Fort Collins to try.
Really good food. Catfish, crab cake, and jambalaya were excellent. Good service, but very noisy near the
Kitchen with staff blasting their own music.
Really good food! I had the catfish and man n cheese. Awesomely delicious! Had a lavender type drink, sooooo good! The waiter was awesome! There was a F cancer fundraiser downstairs! My husband is a survivor! Will come back to this place again! Something for everyone!
The downstairs bartender, Rob, took great care of us and was awesome. The food is super delicious, too!!!
Food was ok. Service was slow. Waitress forgot ya for a long time and has to seek her out for more drink and final bill.
Our server was awesome!!
The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the noise, we didn't know there would be a live band downstairs at 7:00 on a Saturday...and we probably wouldn't have brought my parents, both in their late eighties, had we known. The hostess probably could have been a little more in tune knowing the band was going to be playing and seeing who she was seating, there were some tables that would have been further from the music, but, we only figured that out after we were seated and settled in with our first drinks...and moving would have been as much a hassle as sucking it up and talking louder. Would have been a wonderful experience except for the noise factor and my parents.
The food was very good, but they ran out of mushrooms that I ordered for my burger. It was only 6:30 pm for dinner, so it was disappointing.
Excellent food & service!
Great place. Only recommendation is to have options for beer flights. Everything else was good. We are returning customers.
We all had a really great time. Appetizers for happy hour are half price but still really big in size, ordered two to share for the table and it was more than enough for the four of us to start. Crabcake and fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious, also had wings and others ordered burgers and the peel and eat shrimp- all was really good. Husband went downstairs for a bit and really enjoyed the games. Would definitely go back!
Bar food type menu but good food and service
We had quite the issue with parking since everyone sure does love to park in on the spots that we has eyes on to turn into. Regardless of the problem out there, our table was ready for us in the time needed. Due to the holiday celebrated today, most of the pork bbq was out and we had to make different choices for our dinner selection. I ordered a burger, and my party ordered alternative plates of gumbo, and chicken. The burger was fantastic and I enjoyed my side salad very much. The chicken that my boyfriend ordered was a bit on the dry side. And the gumbo was plenty flavorful.
Would I try this place again, sure. That way it'll be a cheaper meal for next time.
It was good and easy for the large group we had, although we did need two tables but they were bench style and close so not a problem
My favorite place for chicken wings! Our service was outstanding and the food and beer was perfect as always. We have been to The Longmont location numerous times and this was our first visit to CO Springs Location. Same great food and service.
