The bread and butter hugely lacked any kind of taste. Only offering 2 options for wine by the glass is ridiculous and insanely overpriced. And it's not like I'm being cheap because we bought the Waygu steaks. While those were amazing, won't be back because those alone aren't worth a return.

Food quality was mediocre and was overpriced. Seafood was marginal and not fresh. The waiters were nice. The restaurant was fairly dirty and worn. Definitely go somewhere else if you want seafood.

Dined here for NYE. Severely understaffed for a major holiday. We sat at the the table for 15 mins before being greeted or offered water. Our server was a bartender running back & forth instead of a waitress so service was very slow. Expected better from a steakhouse/seafood upscale spot. Food was good, as well drinks but service definitely lacks.

Food quality was so so (at Best) and service was not good. Way to expensive for what you are getting! Go to STK or Eddie Vs, much better atmosphere, food, and service.

The service was top notch! Our waiter was incredible. The food was ok. Our waiter recommended the Wagyu steak. It was very fatty due to the marbling in the meat. In my opinion it was not worth $130 for a piece of meat. Next time I will stick with the filet.

Wonderful seafood and probably the most delicious craft cocktail I've ever had -- vodka with grapefruit juice, maple syrup and a sprig of rosemary that added an herbal scent that was heavenly. Loved my calamari and shrimp appetizer. Great service. Felt pampered. As an out-of-towner, I wasn't prepared to find parking, but it was only a few blocks away.

Went for Birthday on Christmas night. Seated off main restaurant directly under an a.c. blower. Very cold. Requested it be turned down and was for a while. Drinks orders were incorrect. Calamari apetizer was tough and overly chewy. Soup arrived after main courses. Folks taking food orders weren't the ones delivering so we heatd and saw confused servers wandering up and down with plates of food asking tables if certain dishes were theres. Far better off at ANY reztaurant in little italy!

This was a true disappointment- it was recommended by our hotel concierge . We went on Christmas night - service was less than adequate- for such a high priced restaurant, we had to ask for our dishes to be cleared. All but one meal was served at the same time. Someone in our party had to wait 10 min to get her meal. Lamb and fettuccini were excellent. Swordfish was over cooked and tasteless. Very overpriced. I don’t think the resultant anticipated the crowds. The manager did come by and replaced the over cooked meal and we appreciated that.

The staff here make it a point to ensure you are completely satisfied and satiated with some of San Diego’s finest dishes. I must state that both Gio, Mario and their Chefs have incredible skills and talent that are impeccable. Informative, accommodating and dedicated to ensure your taste buds leave happy. Some favorites are the Waygu, the scallops, lobster bisque, and the most sustainable quality of oysters and seafood choices as well. Plan a special night or a simple night alone. The atmosphere is never uptight yet a classy environment that makes you know you’re not only noticed but appreciated. The Lannon Ohana from Hawaii thank you every time for showing us aloha in Osetra’s best in class staff. Happy Holidays to all your families.

The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic and they accommodated my gluten allergy by substituting sauces and making sure that there was no cross-contamination, which was great. The only thing was there was grit in both of my dishes so I wish they would have taken a little bit more time to wash the seafood and vegetables but otherwise it was an amazing place with great food.

I recently brought my husband and 10 of our friends in to celebrate his birthday. We had an AMAZING time and everyone raved about the food and wine. We were given a special table and private room for our large party upstairs. The wait staff was incredible. I cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Happy hour was fantastic! Drinks were fabulous!! Appetizers were great! Had a nice selection on the happy hour menu. Our dinner was fantastic! I had the wedge salad..which was delicious...the lobster bisque was one on the best I’ve tasted. The lamb chops were excellent...cooked perfectly! The wine list was very nice! Dessert..what can I say..molten lava cake..a perfect ending to a wonderful evening. The service was fantastic. Water glass never was emptied..plates taken when empty..friendly and attentive service! Very nice atmosphere!

This was our first time dining at Osetra and we enjoyed it very much. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, attentive but not intrusive. The dining room is fairly crowded and the evening we were present there were several large and pretty noisy groups. There isn't much the restaurant can do about that but it was a distraction.

Went there for restaurant week and was not disappointed - outstanding steaks. My only criticism is that they are constantly trying to up-sale you. When we sat down, the waitress didn't give us the Restaurant Week menu, and we had to ask twice for her to bring it over. When asked if we'd like sparkling or flat water, we said we'll just have regular water. She brought out a bottle of water ($6). When I ordered a moderate priced ($12) Pinot Noir to go with my dinner, she said she would recommend another one that I would like more, so I took her up on her suggestion. It was $22/glass. I'd say we'd go back again (the food was excellent), but I'm afraid that I will get the "slight of hand" treatment again to up-sale me on things I don't need.

Expensive for the quality of food. Steaks were cooked the way we wanted but were very unseasoned. Side of mashed potatoes was enough to feed four people. They were clumpy as well.
Restaurant had an odd odor.
No ambiance.

This is my 3rd time to Osetra and it's always excellent - from the menu selection, to the quality of food and service. However, I've ordered the octopus for my past two visits (about a year gap from each other), and it's still quite rubbery. Hope they're able to get it right the next time!

I took my wife and family to Osetra and had the BEST meal!! We arrived and sat at the bar for a minute, then got seated.

The food was simply AMAZING!! We had:
- Surf and Turf
- Lamb Chops
- Salmon - came on top of spinach
- Osso Bucco - Our favorite!! (also we loved all the dishes)

The waiter started out a little stiff, but I loosened him up...

Not inexpensive, but so worth it!

The menu seemed limited to some degree and overall, just not worth the price when there are so many seafood places in the area. It costs less to dine at the Hyatt for goodness sake! Not that I want to go there. Go to the Fish Market next to the USS midway if you want variety and reasonable pricing. Sorry guys, I won't be back....this was my second and last shot.

We made a reservation for 11:15pm and when we got there at 11:14, we were told the kitchen was closed. The manager was very friendly though and offered to give us some oysters. We sat at the bar and had drinks and the oysters.

It was weird though when we saw the manager ask two women sitting close by to us if they wanted any food, and then he himself ate. The oysters were good but we were looking to have dinner. Kind of disappointing they had reservations up until 11:30pm but closed the kitchen early.
