The service was excellent. My chicken in the angel hair pasta was very dry.
Very noisy .
Great food and service.Nice varieties to cover all tastes.
My wife and I spend every anniversary at Oscars .the food and atmosphere never disappoints .
Since moving to Dublin, we have had dinner at Oscar's 4 times. What began as an enjoyable evening 2 years ago ended in a thoroughly disappointing experience last Friday evening. We were crammed at a postage-sized table between two rows of loud partiers in the back of the restaurant, and spent the majority of the evening trying to have a conversation and enjoy dinner while listening to the loud people on either side of us and dodging the waiters butt while he served people. Honestly - you will find better ambience at Bob Evans. The food was OK, the service was inattentive, the noise level was LOUD and the evening was anything but stellar. We will not be back. ~Greg Kellison
We had a reservation. Walked right in @ 6:30 on a Friday. Nice ambiance. Got a little loud. Food was ok. I had a filet, it was cooked to right temp but tasted a little burnt on the outside. Salad was old and wilted. I did get a free Birthday dessert, Creme Brule. However, it was raw and runny so I couldn't eat it. I would still give them another try.
Shrimp appetizer was average
Butternut squash soup was fab
Kale Caesar salad was excellent
Scallops were excellent
Great food! Great service!
Great atmosphere and service. The food was delicious and plentiful.
We've gone to Oscar's each Valentines for the last 15 years. The restaurant remains a really good value for the money, but it seems Oscar's continues to transform from a fine dining experience to just a very good restaurant.
A Birthday Surprise for out of town guests along with couples from Dublin.
Perfect evening, service, food, drinks and a noise level that allowed us to
engage in conversation across the table. Been one of our favorites since
the doors opened. JMONEY
My wife and I have always had very good meals at Oscar’s. This visit was the best. My wife had the house salad, filet mignon, and the red velvet tiramisu. She was a happy camper. I had the black bean soup, rare seared tuna, and white chocolate cheesecake. Let’s just say I made it easy on the dishwasher.
Ellen was our server and she was a delight. She gave a good recommendation for what wine would be best with my tuna (pinky noir) and was pleasantly attentive.
Oscar’s is our go to place when we have friends in from out of town.
We were a party of seven celebrating my father's birthday. Everyone ordered the seafood which was very enjoyable. I had the ribs and unfortunately is was dry, tasted like the meat has been re-heated with not much flavors. Worst of all, the fries were extremely dark; which is usually an indication of dirty oil in the fryer. My son had the chicken tenders with fries, both the chicken and fries were dark. We inquired about this with the chef, he said it was over-fried on purpose to give that color. I have been to many wonderful restaurants and have had many different types of cuisines, it was the first I have heard of this "technique". Needless to say the fries were left on the plate.
Valentine's Day dinner. We were disappointed they put us in a back room that had very limited ambiance. The service was good, but the food was disappointing, especially the pasta with chicken-ricotta meatballs. The creole sauce was really weak. The calamari was pretty good, and the scallops were good but not great.
Steak had way to much fat on it!!
Neither of us had been here before but decided to give it a go for Valentine's Day and couldn't have been happier! We were promptly seated (had reservation) and our server, Ellen, quickly welcomed us with water, recommendations, and various specials.
My girlfriend elected the kale Caesar salad along with the meatballs (chicken/ricotta) and angel hair while I elected the house salad with walleye. Everything was delicious; we sampled each other's food and I couldn't decide which salad or entrée I preferred. The salads were great and the dressing was incredible. I'd never had walleye before but really enjoyed it with the crab sauce and the parsnip au gratin was amazing. It also came with a side of spaghetti squash; once I added a smidge of salt I enjoyed that much more.
Throughout the night Ellen kept our drinks filled and checked in us regularly. We were both highly impressed with their service levels given how busy of a holiday Valentine's Day is.
The ambiance is really nice and this is definitely somewhere I'd welcome going back to!
The food was wonderful as always. Been going there 12 years. Waitress very inattentive. Valentines Day but we had 5 PM reservation so not real busy. Meal was served and salad had not been served. When meal was 1/3 consumed she showed up. Wine glasses had been empty for a while. Asked for the salad and wine. Wine finally showed up. Asked for salad again. Waitress never introduced herself by name or mentioned the special. Sweet young lady but is lacking in the concept of customer service.
We were particularly pleased with the service provided by our server John. He was attentive without being overly 'present'. At one point, I was looking for an opportunity to request a refill of my drink. Moments later, I saw John...he was already on his way to our table with my drink.
Easy to get into on a no - event night.
We had an excellent dinner and service at Oscar’s on Saturday night. We really enjoyed our evening. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you!
My wife and I went to Oscars for a date night and we got there a little early before our reservation but they would have sat us immediately, but we got a drink at the bar. It was a nice bar but my wife ordered a cosmopolitan and it was not good. They did comp the drink though when we told them she did not like it. Then we were sat and ate 2 fish dishes and they were very good. The Kale salad was exceptionally good as well. We had a great time with great food.
Both the food and service are always great. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
Food was mediocre to poor for the price point. Taste was OK and presentation on the plate was awful - just an unappetizing pile of food. We waited for an hour at the bar before our reservation, and service was so slow that we barely finished one drink and had to quickly close out. Much better options in the area.
The Tuna tacos are superb! But all the food is excellent and the service Divine! They always have one fantastic authentic vegan entree that changes a few times during the year. Will return again and again !
I think this is still the best restaurant in Dublin. A longtime destination restaurant , it's worth the 30 minute drive from Downtown Columbus. The steak sticks are great and it has some of the best veal in town. Nice selection of wine priced reasonably. Highly recommended.
The food at Oscars was excellent. Two of us ordered the Walleye and one the seared Tuna. Both choices were winners! My wife ordered the angel hair pasta with chicken and it was a little dry. Great night though!
Server Gina was fabulous. food was delicious and served hot. Brought out some extra dessert for birthday....very attentive. Just a bit noisy.
It was restaurant week. They sat us at a table in between two four tops and we felt very confined as could hear everyone’s conversation next to us. The food was not good. I ordered a filet but it had the texture of a sirloin. The only thing I liked about my food was the martini, and dessert.
It is always a comfortable evening with excellent food when we dine here.
Food and service were very good. It was noisy and parking was limited. Would eat there again.
Went for restaurant week it was a bit pricey for what we got but it was good.
It was good to See a vegan option for Restaurant Week. The vegan Mac and cheese was not as good as the real thing, but not bad, either.
As usual, Oscar's was prepared to handle Restaurant Week without a hitch! Service was punctual and friendly. Food was excellent as usual (Filet). We had reservations for 7pm on a Tuesday and were seated promptly!
As I have told many people in the past, Oscar's has the best value of any restaurant who is participating in Restaurant Week!
The meal was great from 1st bite to last! And the bread - to die for!
Excellent service and food
Went for restaurant Week. Filet mignon was Devine. Also loved the silk explosion dessert. Perfect ending to great meal with friends.
We went to Oscars during restaurant week and had an amazing 3 course meal including a butternut squash soup, fillet, and dessert at an amazing price. Oscars always feels homey and the service is stupendous! Definitely will go again soon!
Were able to seat us early. Very attentive. Food was as expected. Great valur
Overall, we had a very nice evening at Oscar's. Our server was attentive, yet very busy during the dinner "rush hour." The bar was backed-up which led to a delay in drink service. Our meals were very good which is consistent with the previous times that we have been there. We cannot wait until the weather is warmer and we are able to dine on the patio!!
