Decent food and ambience! Will def go back again!
There drinks are good but there food was just okay. There pork shank we had was dry and the uni Bibimbap was bland. The only relatively good thing we had were there meat skewers.
Really nice restaurant to spend New Year’s Eve At. Lots of fun!
Really enjoyed our first visit to Osamil will definitely come back, lovely staff and atmosphere
All the food we got was great, and the drink was good as well. It is a good modern Korean restaurant and I would like to recommend my friend.
Outstanding food and friendly service
Wonderful dinner on Christmas Day. Love they had happy hour special even though it was a holiday. We had drinks and the wings and the kimchi rice with bacon, steak an egg. Outstanding flavors and presentation. Wait staff was friendly and efficient but not overbearing.
Osamil is off the main K-town drag which is convenient. You won't get bombarded too much with the outpouring traffic of Herald Square. Osamil, is gastropub style Korean restaurant. It's a good place to bring newbies as an intro to Korean cuisine. The service is a bit spotty, but the waitstaff is personable and sweet. The sweet potato fries are a must if you're into "meaty" fries, lightly dusted with seasoning. The duck confit salad is a perfectly light entree (Yes, duck confit in a Korean place). It is garnished with Korean pears and quite refreshing. My husband had the chicken and waffles, but why must they put avocado on everything? I would go back, but definitely for drinks and bar bites, not to indulge in Korean heritage.
Absolutely amazing meal. Vibe was also great, superb service etc see the photos for yourself
great Korean food. great ambiance. wonderful service waiter went above and beyond to make us comfortable...my new favorite
A great find - amazing value and tastes that will leave you wanting to revisit time and time again.
I went back during the holiday season and it was much more crowded than normal days. Make sure to reserve seats ahead of time! Because it was so crowded they did make mistakes of not bringin out what we asked for but they didn't have a problem revising the bill when we pointed that out. Their daily specials are great and everyone should take advantage!
Was super place for our annual get together
Amazing restaurant!! the food is delicious! the place is fun and service is fantastic!
Met by Gelo. He’s great! Our waiter was John - he was superb. Great meal!
Picked it on a whim and it was great. I will be back for sure.
2nd time here - 1st time had an issue with the hostess canceling our reservation as being late when we were there 15 minutes after the scheduled time which is within their 20-minute policy window. This time was a much better experience and the food equally as good!
We had a great experience at Osamil. We started with the $1 oyster happy hour, The wasabi soy sauce worked surprisingly well. We also had the grilled octopus which came in a sweet/spicy onion sauce that was delicious but more food than we expected and the baby octopus was cut up as opposed to whole. The burger was super rich and delicious, easily a top 10 burger that I’ve had in NYC. The hanger steak and friend rice was also delicious.
Including our drinks (3 beers) and tax our bill was ~$100
Amazing food amazing experience real korean food. Soju and korean beer are fantastic defitinely going back soon
Great service. Food was a bit on the greasy side. But a good value for Korean food in the area.
A couple of friends and I came here on a Tuesday night with a friend who was in town from Europe. It was busy so good thing we made a reservation earlier in the day. We ordered the wings which was on special, kimchi fried rice, pork belly and short ribs. Everything was delicious but the one dish that stood out was the pork belly with fig sauce on the side. It was melt-in-your-mouth good! I don’t like/eat kimchi because I don’t like spicy food but it wasn’t that spicy and I actually liked it. All the food were gastropub style. The place was loud and space was tight but I liked the vibe. Food & drinks were pricier than I would’ve expected though. It took a while for the staff to figure out how to apply my OpenTable credit towards our bill but the manager worked it out. My friends gave me so much credit for picking the place. Great spot if you’re in the mood for gastropub Korean food!
Great food, drinks and happy hour. You can’t beat the $1 happy hour wings! And topped it off with the Johnson tang.
Very good Korean restaurant although no BBQ. Bulgogi is highly recommended, tender and marinated; service was excellent. Surely coming back with friends.
Oui expérience was really bad. Our reservation was at 9:30pm. When we arrived, They gived us 6 minutes to order because the kitchen wanted to close earlier. The waiter explained it was their last day and they were tired. So they rushed us the hole time, it was not pleasant at all. But the food was really good.
Wonderful place, great food, nice crowd.
Good place for a group; food portions sharable. Lively, but can have a conversation. Interesting fusion of flavors, cultures.
Great place to get together with friends. Had a good meal with great service!
The entrees (short ribs and fried chicken) were better than the appetizers. I'd have given 5 stars for service if not for the disorganization when we arrived. We had a reservation but it took something like 4 different people to figure out where we were sitting and set a table. FYI - they do not serve dessert but there are other dessert places in the area.
Really solid food/drink with a great atmosphere
Osamil's service has always been top notch. Even on a busy Friday night, we were lucky enough to get a quiet booth because we reserved through open table. Food was delicious and service was very efficient.
Always a pleasure and a treat to enjoy the creative seasonal menu here. The service matches the calibre of the food and makes for a perfect evening.
Excellent food and friendly service all round. Highly recommended. One of the best Korean restaurants I have visited on this trip, and I have been to a lot! The squid, kimchi rice and steak were particularly amazing and after our confused looks at the menu the waitress asked if there were any questions then just ask... And water always filled up... Great service!
Good value for New York. Served by friendly and polite Korean waitress. Had nice cocktail with ginger (think it was the house cocktail). Small, well chosen selection of wines. Food was pretty good. I enjoyed the baby octopus but would avoid the seafood rice cake dish. Was more like a tomato based pasta dish and the seafood tasted frozen (unlike octopus). Chicken wings were lovely but the Korean Fried Chicken was a whole chicken and was fine but bland. I think with the right choices one can eat very well here for a very fair price. If it wasn't already obvious, I know very little about Korean food (we don't see much in Ireland). I would recommend to a friend.
Delicious food; great service and fun ambience with really good music!
The food was simply amazing. Beautifully plated and full of flavors.
We had 2 dinners back to back and enjoyed both dinners. Food and service are truly nice and it is excellent value for money as well.
Will surely revisit next time I am in NYC
Great food, wonderful server - hi Junaedy T!
He answered every question we had and made fabulous suggestions as to what we might like.
Had a delicious meal during a pre concert visit. Really convenient to MSG. Drinks and food were fantastic. Quick and friendly service. Really great choice for happy hour or late night.
Osamil bouillabase was literally the best meal I have ever eaten. Will be getting it again/every time I go there.
