Slow drink service, food came out too fast, great vibes and no rush to get out.
The food is uniquely delicious. The staff is very cordial and friendly. Awesome ambiance and decor.
A must visit!
Amazing food, unique recipes, fairly priced. A must try even if you do not like Korean food!
Inventive food! It's great for intimate group meet ups.
Great flavors and diverse dishes. Amazing drinks and presentation. Vibe and music selection is hip.
Great outdoor seating with heaters and delicious food.
Love the food, love the service, definitely my favorite place to eat!
What a wonderful part of the dining scene in NYC. If you want something a bit more refined than the typical Koreatown dining scene, Osamil is a great choice. It’s more of a gastropub and we loved it!
Fabulous food!
The service was amazing, the food incredible as always (we always get the pork shank and sweet potato fries plus something new). Amazing cocktails as well. Overall great ambiance. Happy to be back and looking forward to our future visits!
all excellent food service 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
The food was amazing. Whole fried chicken a must try. Drinks and service were also outstanding. Lively feel great vibe. Will return for sure
Covid review: Outdoor seating was manageable. My friend and I sat on a high chair table. It was enough for the two of us. We both loved the bossam and especially it's presentation. The cocktails were delicious too!
AMAZING MEAL! Everything we had was so delicious and fresh. The meats slid off the bone, the skin on the fried chicken was to die for, and the drinks were awesome. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high end authentic Korean meal. Wow!
Excellent food.
Drinks a little pricey but delicious craft cocktails with unique ingredients. for food we only had the oysters which were very fresh and it was the end of the night so we ordered 6 and they gave us the last 2 as extras since it was last call anyway. nice touch of customer service
Our group of 8 was seated upstairs for a more private feel. The service was very attentive and the food was great. We will definitely come again.
Excellent food, menu and good drink choices. Music was a bit loud and the bartender not so attentive, but otherwise it was a fun experience.
I wanna try kimchi fried rice with steak, but they are out of it after 10pm, also they don't serve cured shrimp after 10pm, after all it's very good.
Good overall. Kimchi fried rice with steak is the best. Others just average level
Great first experience
Wings were delicious
Great traditional Korean fusion meal and ambiance
It was really good. Food came out quickly, service was very attentive and accommodating and the bathrooms were super clean. Loved it!
Osamil never disappoints, it has been one of our go to’s since we discovered it soon after our move to NYC. The sweet potato fries, pork shank & wings are our go-to. Amazing cocktails too!
I normally don’t write reviews cuz I don’t hate on establishments. Been waiting to try this place for a quite a while now. The pics of the dishes on open table are deceiving. In person the portions are so small that we left hungry and unsatisfied. The bill wasn’t all that much since we stopped ordering after the few appetizers and the main dish I had. The apps don’t make any sense. Their so small and a little over priced. When you look at this place on Instagram it looks amazing but in person it’s the total opposite. The service is okay, waitresses don’t speak english.
Wonderful time and great environment. Highly recommend.
Très bon restaurant Coréen qui vaut le détour !
Très bon plat et tarif correct pour la qualité, je recommande
Food, atmosphere and cocktails were all great. What ruins a great restaurant is service though. Upon being greeted one of the first things the host will say is there is a time limit on the table, that’s the way Osamil wants you to start your meal..with a stop watch in your head. The tab for 4 people was around $400 when the server made it clear that we had hit our time. No offers for more drinks or food were made. You can’t be expensive but also push people out and expect repeat customers. It’s a shame because the food was good.
Great food for sharing
This unassuming Korean style pub has something for everyone. While we saw tables filled with pub style food (notably french fries), most dined on unique Korean preparations. We started with an oyster and chive pancake. Unlike most Korean pancakes that are mostly the flour mixture. this was filled with julienne vegetables with oysters, with only enough starch to hold it together, We then shared the bouillabaisse. We were told it was large enough to share, and it was. Filled with large and small clams, large and small shrimp, squid, mussels, scallops and fish, with a lobster claw and partial to boot, the lobster stock permeated the seafood to create an astounding flavor combination. The service was prompt and efficient, and we were made to feel welcome. We will return to try many of the of the offerings that we missed. While the voices of the diners carried, there was the absence of loud music, so that the ambiance was good.
Osamil was awful. It was way too crowded, the hostess never even took our coats so we all had to hang them up ourselves. We were kicked out after 2 hours - the hostess said there's another reservation waiting for the table... ridiculous. Then they tried to ask us for the coat rack numbers even though they never helped us and our coats were right there hanging. This place ruined my 25 year reunion. We are never going back.
Absolutely love this restaurant! Food was amazing (got the steak with rice) and the restaurant is beautiful. Ambiance was great for any event such as fun date night!
Apps were very good. Entrees were so-so. Noise level was a bit overwhelming.
Upon seeing many Korean people in a Korean restaurant, I knew the food would be authentic and good. And it was good.
We were a group of 10 people and tried many dishes. Everything was very good. Uni bibimbap was our favorite dish. Service was attentive. We will return. We were upstairs which was quieter than downstairs.
Awesome atmosphere with even better food. Reasonably priced with large portions
It is rare that you find a casual restaurant firing on all cylinders but Osamil delivers! Nice crowd, awesome food, terrific service, great ambiance all around. This is my new go-to place for a fun casual meal with friends.
Food is amazing but impossible to get a table all the time.
Great value - excellent, interesting dishes at a very good price. Pleasant surprises included the beef jerky with nuts and the seafood pancake. It got loud after about 7pm.
I came here for dinner with a friend.
We were seated promptly. The server was friendly and attentive.
I got the K-Town Sidecar, which was very good.
We shared the squid fries, a short rib skewer, chicken wings, and the pork jowl. The chicken wings were excellent. I thought the squid fries and the short rib skewer were good as well
The pork jowl, unfortunately, was too tough for my liking.
I would come here again, but I would try a different entree next time.
What an incredible atmosphere and service. The food was inventive, delicious and portions were generous. Would definitely go back!
