The area is so small, I book a 3 person table but they do not reserved for me.
Great. The staff was incredibly lovely and the food felt very authentic. Fried Chicken was huge.
Really love the food. I think it’s not a cheap place, but the portion is really great! I feel the restaurants is like a bar vibe, you may wanna get another place if the crew wants to have a conversation
Great value for fantastic food. Only complaint is that the plates were a lot bigger than expected, so bring some friends! We got the Pork Shank. They said it was for 2 to 3 people. Easily 4-5 peoples worth of food. That being said, everything was delicious. Drinks were super fun. Fun music. Cozy atmosphere. 10/10 would go again.
I took my old Skool Korean parents for dinner. They were skeptical- but ended up loving the fried chicken, kimchi fried rice, squids fries and oysters! Amazing food, friendly service, great space and cocktails.
Amazing. Been to this place a dozen times, always great food, ambiance and service.
The lady at the hostess stand was extremely rude. Even after we showed her the opentable reservation she kept us waiting. It could have been because my friend had asked her if they had a table and she flat out said the wait was 3 hours, even though there was only a small party of 2 before us waiting and there were 3 empty tables outside and about 5 inside. This was before we booked the table on opentable. After we made the opentable reservation and showed her that, she was visibly furious and she kept insisting it was a systems fault and that they had no tables. Finally we were seated though. The experience from there onwards was splendid, the food tasty and the service impeccable (waiter jun).
Overall, it would be nice if opentable could work with the hotel systems a bit better and give opentable customers a slightly better experience while checking in
We found the service to be lacking - basic requests like can we have some hot sauce on the side or Kimchi were met with rude responses. Also, when asked about the sweetness level of a drink, the server responded, "I've never tried it". Would be nice if we tried to find out for us instead of just shutting us down. We ate a couple of apps and headed to Jongro for a nice, friendly meal.
Osamil had some of the best service my friend and I have ever experienced at NYC. Our waitress was wonderful at recommending food choices, especially the tteokbokki, and she also came back twice to ask about drinks and suggest ones for those too which we loved. They came by to remind us both about last call for food and drinks, and let us stay in the restaurant a little late to wait for the rain of the remnants of hurricane Ida to get better (spoiler alert, they didn't!) Gave my friend and I bags to cover ourselves since someone took our umbrella, they help up 'til we could purchase one nearby. Probably the best restaurant experience I've ever had in Ktown!
Osamil is very lively, lots of energy and loud!
Food was good but the featured signatures like the market chicken was too dry and the pork shank was too fatty… and not very flavorful. However the small plates like the uni bibimbap was great and so was the kimchi fried rice!
It was raining.
The oyster was no where from fresh, beef tarte doesn’t feel fresh as well.
Really worried about the food quality there, especially raw food
Service was not bad
Everything is just so perfect!
Delicious food and cocktails. Friendly service.
If you’re near Penn and worried about finding a good spot for dinner, Osamil is a great option!
The Osamil team did a fantastic job accommodating us (we increased our party size several times) and the service was so great, which is hard to do for a party of 15. The food was excellent - loved the fried chicken in particular!
Our waiter was more than kind and accommadating! The food is fab as always and just love going there with a large group!
Always consistently good. Never disappointed. Recommend the cured shrimp, French Fries, and pork shank. Delicious.
Awesome cocktails. Love the pork shank, the squid fries, fried rice and cured shrimp
great place for hang out, pork shankand cocktail are amazing
The food is really quite excellent. Very high quality experience overall
Slow drink service, food came out too fast, great vibes and no rush to get out.
The food is uniquely delicious. The staff is very cordial and friendly. Awesome ambiance and decor.
A must visit!
Amazing food, unique recipes, fairly priced. A must try even if you do not like Korean food!
Inventive food! It's great for intimate group meet ups.
Great flavors and diverse dishes. Amazing drinks and presentation. Vibe and music selection is hip.
Great outdoor seating with heaters and delicious food.
Love the food, love the service, definitely my favorite place to eat!
What a wonderful part of the dining scene in NYC. If you want something a bit more refined than the typical Koreatown dining scene, Osamil is a great choice. It’s more of a gastropub and we loved it!
The service was amazing, the food incredible as always (we always get the pork shank and sweet potato fries plus something new). Amazing cocktails as well. Overall great ambiance. Happy to be back and looking forward to our future visits!
all excellent food service 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
The food was amazing. Whole fried chicken a must try. Drinks and service were also outstanding. Lively feel great vibe. Will return for sure
Covid review: Outdoor seating was manageable. My friend and I sat on a high chair table. It was enough for the two of us. We both loved the bossam and especially it's presentation. The cocktails were delicious too!
AMAZING MEAL! Everything we had was so delicious and fresh. The meats slid off the bone, the skin on the fried chicken was to die for, and the drinks were awesome. Would recommend to anyone looking for a high end authentic Korean meal. Wow!
Drinks a little pricey but delicious craft cocktails with unique ingredients. for food we only had the oysters which were very fresh and it was the end of the night so we ordered 6 and they gave us the last 2 as extras since it was last call anyway. nice touch of customer service
Our group of 8 was seated upstairs for a more private feel. The service was very attentive and the food was great. We will definitely come again.
Excellent food, menu and good drink choices. Music was a bit loud and the bartender not so attentive, but otherwise it was a fun experience.
I wanna try kimchi fried rice with steak, but they are out of it after 10pm, also they don't serve cured shrimp after 10pm, after all it's very good.
