We had such a wonderful time on Valentine's Day! Amelia was our server and we were very pleased. My husband loves the warm olives and she was able to ask Chef for an order, even on a super busy day which we were so happy with! 3 of us all got the strip steak which was incredible. All cooked perfect to our requested temperatures while my Mom had the mushroom parpadelle pasta. It was so delicate and delicious! We ended with a creamsicle panna cotta and a flour less chocolate cake that didn't disappoint! My husband raved about it so much, now his Mom is headed up there for dinner tonight! We will for sure be back soon. Thank you!!

The atmosphere is cool, the service was meh, the food is trying too hard to be better/more impressive than it is. The small plates were good. Suprised how salty and poorly constructed the burger was considering it was the special of the night. Overcooked and reminded me of a thin fast food burger over-sauced and wedged between a semi-burnt bun. Otherwise, I would recommend it for the hipster vibe.

Acoustics are not great, but the food and service were excellent. Luckily we didn’t have to sit in the middle on counter seats; we couldn’t hear each other.

My husband and I really enjoyed our evening here. From the start the hostess was friendly. Even though she was busy tending to the couple ahead of us, she greeted us and said she be right back. The food was amazing. It was a full house so we had to wait a while for our drinks but they were delicious. Wonder if they could do anything to help absorb the sound a bit more. The noise didn’t bother us on our date night but I definitely would bring my parents or have a business meeting there.

OSA overall was a great place to eat and enjoy conversation with family and friends. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the OSA burger and octopus. The octopus had a delectable pairing of soprassata and octopus, the homemade herb mayonnaise sauce was a delightful garnish on the burger and smashed potatoes. The best dish was the homemade chocolate chip cookies that were baked to perfection. The atmosphere of OSA was cozy, with wood all over the walls and ceiling. My only complaint would be that the wooden benches were a little uncomfortable and it was very loud inside. Other than that the atmosphere of OSA was quite nice. The only problem I had with OSA was that the service was terribly slow. OSA is a nice place to go out to eat, if you do choose to go I definitely recommend getting the chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Dinner for 4 Table was ready when we arrived. Drinks took a while to get which was the only down of the night. Service was great otherwise and food was creative and delicious. Snack plate of cheese with cherry jam & nuts was really tasty. Smashed potatoes were complemented by the sauce. Among the 6 small plates, octopus with pancetta and beef tatare were the table favorites with the sunchoke a close 3rd. Also had the wood roasted herbed chicken. WAS FABULOUS! So moist! This was also shared with the table and all agreed it was one the best chicken dish ever. Although a bit pricey, it was worthy of another visit in the near future.

Our server, Sarah, created a warm and welcoming environment for our table. She answered our questions and described each dish as it arrived. The Chef prepared a delicious Cacio e Pepe in addition to deliciously sweet Sunchokes. I'm so glad Alycia posted about Osa on @CtEatsOut - another great find!

The food was good, not great, although the bread was superb. The service was reeaally slow, even though it wasn’t that busy. The decor is all hard surfaces, so it was really noisy...almost impossible to have a conversation. Very nice staff, although a little too much checking in for my taste. This was my first visit. I’ll give it another chance, but overall, I was not wowed by the place.

Something different in Middletown. Creative small portions featuring local ingredients and delicious (and sometimes unusual) combinations. The smoked tomato sauce is amazing. Surprisingly small tariff for the quality of the food. Our new favorite restaurant.

It was a relatively quiet night at Osa this evening. It was the first time I had eaten there and wanted to bring my friend to a new restaurant to thank her for helping me out. After reading the reviews, and realizing I know one of the owners, it seemed the right place to go. Staff were friendly, professional and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I appreciated not feeling at all rushed. My friend and I had a delightful evening and I know I’ll be going there again.

Osa was incredible. My eyes were a bit sensitive to the lighting and seating is a bit uncomfortable, but the the food and service make it 5 star worthy in my book. They DO have seating pads available upon request--definitely ask for one. We had bread with shipped lardo, which was perfection. The octopus was the best I've ever had. My husband had steak and I had scallops and both of our meals were wonderful. We'll be back.

Took a trip to Middletown specifically to visit Osa Restaurant. Overall food was good, way overpriced, very small portion size. I can understand what they are trying to do, but in this market I do not believe it is sustainable. Service was very good (Peter), ambiance is nice although seemed to be done "on the cheap". Bartender also very good. Probably won't be back.

The OSA has a bit of a Nordic rustic feel from the wood lattice and ropes to the big WC signs. The food is farm to table, the current fad, and it’s execution was well done.

The menu was all original so every dish was an adventure. You won’t be disappointed if you venture around the menu.

Service is attentive but not suffocating.

We certainly expect to return.

Interesting, innovative food, some of it very delicious. However, our server was pretty rude to us, unfortunately. One of our party asked for a drink that was unavailable there, and instead of suggesting something else, the server just said, no we don't have that, in a tone that implied it was beneath the restaurant (it was a Red Bull vodka- definitely something I would not expect at Osa, but no need to be rude or dismissive about it). When another in our party asked questions about a dish to get more information before ordering, we were told, "the preparation is on the menu" in a fairly condescending tone, and were not given more information.
Since not everyone has access to/ experience with the great ingredients and innovative preparations on your menu, it would have been nice if the server was more forthcoming with information about stuff many people rarely see on menus. A couple of people in our party had never been to a restaurant like Osa, and were treated poorly due to their relative "outsider status." I think the partnership with farms and the use of ingredients relatively unfamiliar to the masses is wonderful and should be applauded, but people should not be treated like ignoramuses by the servers because they ask questions or have not heard certain dish ingredient names or cooking terms or have not ever tried a similar dish. It was really off-putting. If the food you are attempting to expose people to is unfamiliar and not normally seen on most menus, your staff really be more polite to people to whom those types of dishes are new. One of the problems people have with patronizing places like Osa is not the food, as people really want to try new things and appreciate delicious innovation, it is the unfamiliarity, and the intimidation factor. Your server really made us all feel like jerks for asking questions by acting like a food snob, and treated us like we were ignorant. It spoiled our experience, unfortunately.
