Ortzi is a Basque-inspired Spanish tapas bar & wine restaurant from James Beard-award winning chef Jose Garces located on the lobby level of the brand new LUMA Hotel Times Square. The forty-five seat dining room is built around an open kitchen focused on a rustic, yet elegant approach to the cuisine of the Basque country and Northern Spain. In the lobby of the hotel, Ortzi offers a more casual, first come, first serve bar and lounge serving the same menu as the dining room and centered around a beverage program inspired by the wines and spirits of Northern Spain and Atlantic France. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are served daily and reservations are for the dining room only.

My friend and I attended during Restaurant Week Lovely ambiance, great menu selection along with yummy complimentary bites from the chef. Server was very helpful! Overall amazing experience - will definitely return!

Took advantage of restaurant week and will definitely come back to sample the regular menu. Food was inventive, fresh and delicious. Extensive wine list. Service could have been a tiny bit more attentive, but overall was fine.

I have been to Ortzi 4 or 5 times and every time the food is exceptional, the service is great, and the ambiance is wonderful. I rarely write reviews (I think this may even be my first), but I felt compelled to thank you for a consistently wonderful experience.

I was delighted to find this restaurant for pre-theater dining! It is usually so hard to find a decent and quiet place to eat in this part of the city. It was a lovely oasis! I went with my two sisters, and we shared one seafood paella (recommended for 2) plus a few side vegetable dishes and it was just the right amount of food for the three of us. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would go back again!
